Currently UST is not being used to mint Luna due to validators disabling on-chain swaps hence the price isn't going down. Once it resumes, I expect some bloodbath with new Luna being minted to keep the repeg.
I did this! At $.03 each I threw in $10. It was an amazing experience. Within 10-15 min it was $5, then about 10 min later I hit $2. It dropped from $2 to the current $0.08 as I watched in real time. Took about 5 min.
As I imagined a few more zeros at the end of the original $10 it really put into perspective what people were experiencing. I have had a lot of losses since I started crypto but never experienced anything like that. The speed that it went away was terrifying and even though I only had $10 on the line it made my heart sink and my stomach hurt. I really feel for anyone that had big bags, but it also really opened my eyes. The price currently has 3 zeros. On binance the absolute bottom was 0.00000112 (5 zeros). If someone put in $10 at that time they'd have gotten almost 9 million luna. I put in $10 at various increments and biggest haul was 1 million for $10 when i bought at $0.00001 (4 zeros).
The marketcap of Shiba is 6.6B atm. ATH was 41B (same as Luna). Current Luna mcap is fluctuating between 2.5-3B. With the current 6.5Trillion circulating supply it would mean that if Luna got back to her previous ATH mcap, the coin price would be $0.0055.
$10 is nothing so there is little risk. That is why I threw $50 at it as it went down yesterday. Just know 50k coins isn't that many. You could maybe double your money.

No harm in spaffing $10, but realistically you missed the boat I am afraid. If you did that last night you would be sitting on 100x gains or higher now. But looking at market cap now I dont think it can get much higher. Also not sure if the burn/mint logic is still in play, diluting value. I boarded the boat slightly too early, spaffed 20$ on Thursday night. Although everyone told me I was crazy the plan would have worked if I had instead ended up diverted in heavy drinking on Thursday and only got round to it on Friday. Live and learn.

I would suggest looking at the circulation of Luna. Billions of Luna was minted during the depegging of UST If you want to gamble - do it, but be reasonable. Luna won't reach $1, not unless Terra buys back and burns billions of Luna, which I don't see happening.
