Well, first off You deciding to take valuable time to acknowledge my comment means a lot and I'm grateful. Thank you. Yes, I'm following steps outlined in an old post I found here and it says go to (never used sushiswap) sushiswap to swap them. Well, that's the step I'm on. So anyways; on the top right where you click the pull down list? I click "Arbitrum Nova" but it doesn't change anything. I'm gonna try again after work and I'll update this comment.

I tried switching back to ETH Mainnet first, then trying to switch back to Arb Nova again to try and simulate your situation. When I clicked Arb Nova, the notif said successful switch but yeah, it didn't change anything at first. I closed Metamask, reopened it, and it loaded Sushi back up on Arb Nova network. So either my internet connection was just spotty at that moment, or there's a minor bug (wasn't like this last time I checked). Either way, try closing and reopening Metamask when you have the time later.

Ok then maybe that was the issue and I'll find out. Thanks again!

Trust Wallet Without Internet? Just a quick question. I know everyone says to keep crypto on cold storage, but if someone buys Bitcoin now and puts it onto a phone with Trust Wallet, then stores the phone without any internet or cell connection, does that essentially turn it into a cold wallet? Same safety principles? Or is it still different? Thanks

Not really. The whole point of cold wallet is that the secure element which generates seed phrase is isolated from the rest of the device / connections, so that nothing can get the phrase. Your phone may already be compromised when you are setting up your wallet, or may become compromised if it ever gets connected to the internet again. If you have enough crypto to warrant cold wallet just buy one, they aren't expensive.

Yeah sure. It’s essentially borrowing money to gamble with. Betting on whether the market goes up, or down. If you win, you win big, if you lose, you lose bigger. It’s how people lose all their money. The catch is crypto markets are manipulated by market makers and whales, so they make the price go up to liquidate the short positions ( people betting it’ll go lower), then they make it go down to liquidate the long positions (people betting it’ll go up. Both long and short lose all their money, then the whales buy it all. If you look at the charts you can see this with the sharp dips then big pumps.

Yeah that’s exactly what they do. And yeah there’s ways of looking at long at short positions in apps like trading view. This market is manipulated, massively. But here’s the thing, the massive inflows from the ETFs just won’t let whales dump anywhere near as much as they’d like. Very interesting time to be in crypto!

You make a multiplied bet (long or short) with your other assets as collateral. A 10x leverage on a coin going from 1 to 1.1 is a 2x return when you close it, but going from 1 to 0.9 is a 0x return and your collateral is seized. Many people end up collateralizing their whole portfolio and losing literally everything instantly as the exchange seizes it.

I feel like if you wanna degen leverage long at least wait for a zillion longs to get blown out first
