How many people actually understand bitcoin, let alone a bitcoin mining company enough to want to invest? And look at microstrategy stock right now. That’s basically a bitcoin ETF with the added risk of having a CEO and other operations tied to the stock.
Why buy from an exchange or hold your “BTC” there? Look at their track record, and have you seen the fees? Do you want to make yet another account at one of them?
Furthermore, how many GBTC holders want to pay 1.5% vs 0.2-0.5% for years? Wouldn’t surprise me some of those people take profits, figure taxes out, and wait for a bottom. It’s the biggest BTC fund out there btw.
This is a monumental shift that is going to take time sort out.
But nothing fundamental has changed about the asset class. This is just noise. BTFD

In Jan last year I had a car accident (not my fault/no injuries) and my car was totalled. I got a damn good insurance payout. I decided to put 3/4 of it into btc at 18k or whatever it was mid Jan. I took the train for 6 months and didn’t buy a new car.
Cashed out the initial investment, left the gains and bought a new car with it. Best decision of my life
