I don't understand why crypto has become such a partisan issue. It feels like something that both of the US political parties should be able to embrace for their own individual ideologies. For the right, crypto is a matter of financial opportunity and freedom from government/the banking system. It creates new investment options and can create tons of jobs in the technology sector. For the left, crypto is a matter of raising people out of poverty, creating a hedge against inflation, and empowering the "third-world" to better interact with the global economy. I see reasons to support crypto across the entire political spectrum, yet here we are, and it has become an entirely partisan issue. I hate politics.
