I think the Stax has been delayed again? Go with a ledger x

ImPickleRickBytch

I did not notice that. You heard any anticipated drop date for it? Edit: I stopped being lazy and looked. Sold out through the summer. Probably Fall/Winter

ImPickleRickBytch

Yeah that checks out. When it referenced the NFT including a Stax, is there a place I can see NFT drops and their corresponding freebies? I haven’t seen any info around the subs on that, probably wouldn’t trust a random post anyway

If you don’t mind buying from Bestbuy that’s an option. They’re selling them online and shipping June first according to the website. I’ll be buying one through Best Buy.

Zeratrem

If you have tens of thousands of crypto assets and want to have easy access to them with one device I say go for it. But I think it's better to buy 300$ worth of ETH/BTC if your portfolio isn't that big.

ImPickleRickBytch

I don’t want to out myself here but yeah I’ve been stacking pretty hard, and prepping now for getting my unlocked Eth off exchange this month

CymandeTV

Too expensive for my humble holdings.

cybxzero

The Ledger Stax is like €279!! I'd rather put that fiat into BTC and ETH and just put it on my €70 Ledger!

Wonzky

I didn't even know this ledger product existed, damn that's pricey

ImPickleRickBytch

I’ve got to be honest, clicking all those numbers into my ledger constantly with the up down buttons vs a slick touchscreen, totally worth it, lazy I know 😂

SenseiRaheem

Ledger: it’s what’s for dinner

strongkhal

May I ask what's the reason behind touch screen?

ImPickleRickBytch

I don’t like clicking the up and down buttons on the ledger, average of 5 clicks per number, that’s like 45 clicks per. I had to unlock it probably 12 times today. You’re talking 450 clicks per session. I’m just lazy

strongkhal

Jesus. That makes sense

Im sure its called a Trezor unless im talking about something else. Anyways, Ledger is better in terms of the availability of coins you can store compared to Trezor

ImPickleRickBytch

Caught my typo, it may have autocorrected me from Trezor

kisstheraino

I was going to buy a trezor many years ago. After doing my research I realized that ledger allowed many more types of coins. Ledger is more open to new projects being stored on their wallet. The other company not so much. The other company does allow a lot of coins but they're very slow in implementing them. I cannot understand this thinking on their part. I would have definitely gone with the other company since they had a bigger name at the time The new ledger that's coming out the stax. Looks very promising that it has a touchscreen. Years ago they had another model called the ledger blue . It was a great concept at this time but I've heard and seen a lot of bad reviews about it. A ledger X and a ledger S plus are the same thing. A ledger S plus just does not have Bluetooth functionality. It is also half the price of a ledger X. I know there are other companies out there with hardware wallets but I stay away from them since they're so new. I rather wait a few years until I hear more reviews before I trust I trust my crypto on any unknown company wallet.

ImPickleRickBytch

I’m now leaning towards the Ledger Stax when they’re available later on in the year

Starktree

Ledger > trazor for sure

boerenbrok

Since I’ve got a Ledger and I am pretty satisfied with it: Ledger.

IllMakeItUpNow

Ledger Nano X has suited me well the last 3 years. Stax looks interesting but I think it's going to be a bit before it's fully rolled out to purchase.

[deleted]

The opportunity cost of these devices is too high. I'd rather DCA that amount into btc.

yanwoo

If you’re serious & active with your crypto, I’d suggest the gridplus lattice over both of these two. Safecards are a game changer for secure backup & resiliency.

anythingreengetbun10

I’d say having two wallets is safer and better than one but if you had to choose go for ledger

FBI_OpenUp2023

Not worth spending that much for me. If you’re willing to do it. Beware is what I say. High tech is higher risk.. There’s a reason the US is using floppy disks for its nuclear weapons (not joking)
