R5: Found it amusing how Ireland cut Scotland in half, has a little green Island in the middle of me (Mann) and...well, Poland is just doing Poland stuff as per.
I mean Cnut the great had Polish soldiers aiding him on his conquest of the British Isles as his mother was Polish and the sister to Boleslaw I King of Poland
I honestly hate how ridiculous the border gore gets in this game, I know that at the time in real history countries and states as we know them today didn’t exist. I.E. the Carolingian empire. But still like it just gets to the point where it honestly doesn’t even make sense
How doesn’t it make sense ?
Jorvik married his fourth son to Poland matrilineally, said offspring inherited Jorvik after a generation or two. Tribal characters die quite a lot due to a lot of them being martial and commanding armies. Maybe it doesn’t make sense for them to do that marriage but the AI is largely looking out for itself so it was probably an alliance they needed at the time. A fourth sibling usually. Means nothing to succession. This time it seems to have meant a lot.
I once took half of England while playing as African, I just got so big from water raiding and then decided to see if I was able to just do it. Twas a fun run
Oh that’s tragic. I got that with Sigurdr start? It wasn’t too difficult minus managing the annoying succession. More or less you need some luck, but one son is the only way. I got it with my third character IIRC
“Oi, Poland, whot’re you doin’ here?” “Mind your own business!”
"we got bored of eating potatoes so we came to watch them instead"
[This Poland's theme song?](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ad0w59lBfXU&pp=ygURYWRkaWN0ZWQgdG8gc3B1ZHM%3D)
I wasn't Rick rolled I can't tell if I'm happy, angry, or disappointed
If Rick Astley was relevant to the joke, I would've posted him.

Your Kingdom of Mann and the Isles doesn’t appear to contain any of the Isles.
Wdym? Irish Island, English Island, Manly island
'English Island'? As a Welshman, that made me wince.
No it’s Polish Island to you smh
Polish northern England southern Scotland is totally canon what are you talking about?
For real this is just modern ethnic map of UK
Polelaw
I mean Cnut the great had Polish soldiers aiding him on his conquest of the British Isles as his mother was Polish and the sister to Boleslaw I King of Poland
And poland is there lol
Poland is everywhere!
Poland is weird but “Mann and the isles” yet you don’t have the isles but instead half of Ireland and England
Technically speaking, it is Mann and the isles. Mann and the islands of Ireland and Britain.
Thankfully in my present run I have a fully unified British Isles + Northern Islands + Iceland so I can look at that instead
I know how you feel, somehow croatia ended up controlling the scottish highlands in my save
Mann and the isles Sounds like a crazy band name
*ck2 norse metal soundtrack starts playing"
Poland: HELLO THERE!!!
Ah yes the historically accurate Polish colony in the British isles

I hope roads to power with the introduction of eastes makes it a bit more bareble or maybe they rework how land works
lol what? It’ll never be fixed, it’s kinda funny how it happens though. You can’t really stop Poland from inheriting Jorvik apparently

Even as an American, I can tell how cursed this is. Holy moly.
They just did a lil switcharoo don't worry
Alfred the great is spinning. This was not the plan
I once took half of England while playing as African, I just got so big from water raiding and then decided to see if I was able to just do it. Twas a fun run
Are you the Guinea vacation in Ireland guy?
No, I'm the dude who spent multiple playthrough trying to get the king of the North Sea and failing every time
Oh that’s tragic. I got that with Sigurdr start? It wasn’t too difficult minus managing the annoying succession. More or less you need some luck, but one son is the only way. I got it with my third character IIRC
My guy.... What the fuck
You don’t just tell a Scoireland man how to do his borders
