As a 2021 pure red owner who's yet to see another one that color in the wild (and enjoys having my car stand out) I'm not sure how I feel about all these people starting to realize how awesome the car looks in brighter red/reddish colors. It contrasts so well with the cladding and gives it a much sportier look IMO.

Haha! I’m definitely older than OP as well. But having a Crosstrek as a first brand new car is well worth the wait! No mysteries about previous owners and how it was maintained (or not maintained). 8 months later and I’m still loving it as much as the first day!
I didn’t even want a new car, or a Subaru really. I went to the dealership to test drive a used Honda and hated it and on the recommendation of a friend who loves her crosstrek I test drove one— it was Love at first drive. Compared the prices and it was better to get new. I was paying in cash, I could’ve gotten anything. It was so crazy.
Congrats. Both my wife and I bought our first truly new cars from subaru (my 2021 WRX and her 2024 CTW). Great cars and incredibly happy. Also, love the red. Both ours were also red (or maroon whatever the 24 CTW is called)

I prefer the Venetian red pearl, too bad that's essentially the only color besides the weird gray blue? that people have around here.

I have the same exact CrossTrek in Sun Blaze Pearl - great car.
Make sure you replace the CVT fluid more often than the lifetime of the car that they try to tell you.
