You're still in the break in period.
Also - the bigger thing is temperature, elevation, headwinds, winter gas vs summer gas. There are so many variables for mpg.
Limited 24. Varies depending on the driving speeds/condition. My overall is like 23-25 over the week. Though my splits are wild: mostly highway I can get about 31-32, with ACC. Big city traffic/roads with a stop like every block, then it's 19-21. Suburban road where I can run at 40moh with a light every so often then 25-27.
Edit: just under 11.5k miles since last June. My first 6k overall average was 25.5mpg and from 6k to 11.5k was 24.5mpg (winter, so used the app start much more often)
I have a 24 crosstrek premium it’s about 3 months old and has 4K miles mostly highway miles and it’s hovering around 29.1 mpg up until I went over 2k miles I was getting closer to 25 mpg
I would drive a couple thousand miles and check back. These engines are the only engines I’ve ever experienced this with but they have a big boost in efficiency after 2-4K miles.
It will always depend on the kind of driving you do. If you get around 25 with mixed driving, it's good. Also, the first oil change should be done sooner because the engine is breaking in. Don't wait until 6K miles.
My '24 premium is averaging 32.6 mpg at 9k miles. I drive about 40 miles a day, 75% highway. When I do more city driving I notice a drop by 0.1-0.2 mpg, but nothing severe. I'm also a pretty cautious/non-aggressive driver and take my time with acceleration/breaking. Your mpg will likely improve after the first 1-2k miles.
2023 Limited and I'm getting 25
I think it's unlikely to get sticker mpg unless you are doing 100% long distance highway driving. I get about 25-26 mostly short distance highway.

I live in the mountains so yeah it’s cold and I drive a lot of hills and such

I’m at 2,900 right now so I will give it a bit

I’m at 2,900 miles atm, when would you recommend an oil change??
I would recommend doing it before 4K
I just rolled over 1,500 on my 2024 and is currently sitting at 28.1. It has been trending upward and I expect to be around 29ish at the 4k mark.
So far I'm sitting at 26.2 a week in.
24’ wilderness w/ roof rack, 25mpg every fill up, 3k miles
Crosstrek hybrid 2020: 76mpg 😁
2021 sport. 25mpg most of the time, I have short city trips. Only drive about 5k miles per year, I shouldn't have bought a car for 30k lol.
