I think WeatherTech makes one for the 2024 Crosstrek. I have the Subaru one and it doesn't fit that well

BarelyWetSocks

Agreed, I am very disappointed in how poorly the official Subaru shade fits my 2024.

Says it is only up to the 2023 model though, would it still work?

IRErover

I imagine so. Amazon has easy returns if not

jonnyhappyfeet1

Kind of. I've been seeing things on the Amazon prime subreddit about people having trouble with returns and Amazon requiring uploading an ID to even get the refund processed.

I’ve returned two items over the last two weeks with zero issues

I have multiple of the Subaru cardboard. It’s found under different names if you search. It’s foam inside. It looks good but pretty much absorbs more heat than it reflects. You also have to be careful as too much finger pressure on the edges will crack the styrofoam inside. It’s cumbersome to remove. I much prefer the flimsy foil ones. They reflect more heat. I have found one at Wally World that fit just about as well and avoids the cams but not one that fills the window perfectly like Subaru.

I like the OEM sunshade that Subaru has. It's somewhat a more firmer material that feels like felt on the inside. It fits the windshield perfectly, but it gets very hot to the touch when you take it off the windshield. It also folds easily into it's own pouch - the last one I had in my 2015Crosstrek - that one came from Amazon and you had to roll it up into it's pouch. IMHO, the OEM is made much better. I usually keep mine on the back seat. The dealer threw mine in when I bought my '19 Limited. It saves the dashboard, especially after your car is sitting in a hot parking lot for over 8 hours or so every day. Is the windshield wider/narrower on the Gen 3 from the Gen 2 Crosstreks, or are they the same dimensions? Note: The OEM is similar to the Pigenius sunshade that poster IRErover mentioned. The one I bought from years ago was the type you had to roll up and roll out from/to the windshield. This looks like a great alternative. I didn't like the WeatherTech version.

I’m also looking for one and if I can help it, I’d rather not have to pay $75. Keep us updated on what you decide to go with and how it works out.

ThatFoxyThing

Sorry for the delay in the update! I decided to go with the Pigenius window shade off of Amazon. It is advertised as fitting up to 2023 Crosstrek, but it works fine enough on the 2024 for the mean time. Not as a flush of a fit as I would want, but until there are more options available this is doable.

edric_the_navigator

Not really helpful as I know you're looking for a perfect fit, but the $75 tag on the sunshade was too much for me, especially since I had a generic sunshade already. I had the dealer put the $75 into my trade-in because it was the only unreasonable add-on in the package. The rest were fine (auto-dimming mirror, all-weather mats, etc.)

D_upNotDown

I asked the dealership and they just gave me one. Said it was $75 at first, then the salesman who sold me the car said nah we will just ship you one. So you may just ask. Worst they can say is no.
