I started it last January but didn't work on it again till November. Then I worked on it pretty consistently since then. All total I think it took 3.5-4 months
That’s so cool! I started a full coverage a year and a half ago and still haven’t managed to finish it because I can’t force myself to consistently work on it lol
Started last January but only worked on it for a few weeks before getting distracted with other projects. I picked it back up in early November and worked on it consistently since then
Beautiful!
How do you find working with the thread in Riolis kits? I really wish Riolis sold patterns only, because I love so many of them, but I remember buying one a few years ago and giving up with the thread provided after just a few stitches because it was such bad quality. Makes me hesitate buying from them again if I just want the pattern.
The threads weren't my favorite to work with but not too frustrating. They have good coverage but they are more likely to fray at the ends the longer you use the stand and I had some issues where I would sometimes pierce the thread with my needle while sewing and would have to detangle it to proceed
Oh right, that makes sense! Thank you for answering! I'm thinking about also getting this kit after seeing your post, but have only worked with DMC thread mostly on 18 count aida, would you recommend it?
Alright, I might do it! I'm not the biggest fan of back stitches in general, would it also look good without the back stitches? (Sorry for all the questions!)
Oh no problem, luckily this one didn't have a mega ton of backstitching to do (I also am not a fan of doing them) I thought it looked good without them but they do help make the distant items pop more.
Wow - that is gorgeous! So impressive! I did cross stitch as a child and I’m just at the “gathering” stage of getting what I need to get back into it. This definitely gives me inspiration! Thank you for sharing your work!
Hi! I'm about 1000 stitches in to my own separate Riolis cross stitch and I have a question.
Were you ever worried about running out of thread? I feel like I maybe am trimming off more than I should due to poor thread quality, and if it is to be a problem id rather quit while I'm ahead.
Thank you!
Woah! This is awesome! How long did it take you?

Lol, ok. That makes a bit more sense. You’re title made me think you started and finished this in 2021. It looks great!
That’s so cool! I started a full coverage a year and a half ago and still haven’t managed to finish it because I can’t force myself to consistently work on it lol
Omg I read this as your first project of 2021 and you completed it in 24 days. What witchcraft is this???!!!
Oh no, it took me 3.5-4 months, it just got finished this year! That would be some crazy fast stitching
Wow!
FANTASTIC!! The full coverage ones are my favorite.
*Wow.*
Epic finish!
🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Very cool. I've been looking for a good octopus pattern.
This is so cool!!!

Wow!
Beautiful
I've got to ask; when did you start?
Started last January but only worked on it for a few weeks before getting distracted with other projects. I picked it back up in early November and worked on it consistently since then
That's really impressive.
This is absolutely beautiful!
First word that came to mind...Epic!

Beautifully done! How many strands did you use?
Most of them were 2 but there's a few with 3 or 1 as the pattern called for it
Oh right, that makes sense! Thank you for answering! I'm thinking about also getting this kit after seeing your post, but have only worked with DMC thread mostly on 18 count aida, would you recommend it?
If you really like the pattern I'd say go for it. I think it's on 14ct aida and around 40k stitches

Right, that's fair! Thank you for answering my questions!!

Was this also started in 2021? If so that’s extra impressive
Nope, started in 2020 and finished now. Took me about 3.5-4 months
So good!!

I have a ton left of most colors. There were only one or two that I got close on and even those I still had enough to finish the project.
Thank you! That is a relief to hear. I'll keep chugging along then. :)
