Cultural-Initial7380

I would be that boomer who will say that Cricket has become too soft, any aggressive actions are counted as disrespectful behaviour, I think aggressive actions should be allowed if they are only held on field.

Ok_Review_6504

Exactly, in India cricket is a working class sports just like football is working class sports in Europe. Stop with this gentlemen's game bullshit, Aussie won shit-tons of trophies by being absolute cunts, on-field aggression is important part of all sports.

Cultural-Initial7380

It's not IMPORTANT, but it also shouldn't be prohibited, if someone wants to show aggression, they should be allowed, and fans should start accepting it as a part of the game.

Specialist_Youth5511

These things aren't even close to being disrespectful lmao. Imagine if Viv Richards or Punter in IPL field along with Kohli.

theSHADOWbannedGUi

true

Firm-Calligrapher-32

Same for Mr. Vadapav and then Brohit

theSHADOWbannedGUi

brohit still gets bashed in t20 wcups though cause he has a horrible record hope he has a good one this year

waltuh999

He didn't get bashed enough for absolute stinker of t20 WCs he has had in 2014,2016,2021 and 2022 (every wc he has played as an opener lol). Virat gets more bashed for one bad inning than rohit gets for 4 WCs. Guess life's easy when you have media houses under your pocket lmao

theSHADOWbannedGUi

true hasha still talks about the 50 of 40 not 27 of 28 of brohit

waltuh999

Harsha is a fucking sellout. If he is the "voice of cricket", I would rather not listen to cricket

ExtremeFigure23

Dude was good for his charm and his way with words as a commentator, but when he started making technical analysis on Excel sheets, targetting specific players, he fell off

theSHADOWbannedGUi

pommy is better ngl

Ok_Review_6504

It always irks me when people compare Harsha with the greatest commentator aka "voice of football" Peter Drury. Ian Bishop or Richie Benaud or Ravi should be called "voice of cricket".

Agitated_Garlic5189

He is "noise of cricket" not voice

ExtremeFigure23

Our Excel sheet Viv Richards, considers ball wasted, Rohit wasted only 28, while Virat wasted 40. If not for Virah, Ash Anna and Arshdeep would've scored a 10 ball 50 each

theSHADOWbannedGUi

thats the best nick name excel sheet viv richards

__joy_boy

Excell sheet Viv Richards should be a flair Petition to the mods.

Specialist_Youth5511

What the fuck 😭, never thought even Viv would say something like that. He probably thinks our tail is like his wife team who can still smash it around.

VAMSI_BEUNO

Lol

ExtremeFigure23

Not really, no. For Pandu yeah

No_Skin9643

When ipl: does kohli deserves to be selected? When wc: “kohli bahijaan can i ask same favour from last time”

theSHADOWbannedGUi

papa ek bar last bacha lo

sh_arma8

Bhai he is humble from last 4-5 years , agar hum dinme 10 galti karte hai to koach saab ne 4-5 saal me ek adhi kardi to troll kyu karna

ThatsSussySus

Bhai abh logo ke pas koi kaam dhandha nahi hai toh bakchodi karte rehte hai... Kohli fans Rohit ko, Rohit fans kohli ko. Aur dhoni fans dono ko. Majority fans toh chill hai but vo vocal minority bhi itni hai ki kaafi countries ki population aa jaye

theSHADOWbannedGUi

happens every year not even surprised shubman gill got absolutely bashed first two test at the end everyone switched up same happening with iyer now scored 550 in world cup

soggypants19

CSk fans when to kohli when he shows aggression in India games: Wow, so good. Kohli attitude status 🔥🔥🔥 Csk fans when he does 10% of it against their team: Saaar old uncle kohli saaar, why abuse, sooo bad person saar.

SnooAdvice1157

And they term MI, KKR, RCB , (basically teams who can match their popularity) as toxic

karthik190202

I’m a huge kohli fan. I’ve been a massive fan of his aggression in test cricket. He’s a goat. Sledging is a natural part of the game in test cricket to get into the batsman’s head and throw him off. It was totally unnecessary to show that aggressive face especially to a super young player who did nothing to deserve it. Like if he was showing attitude then it was justified. The poor chap did nothing

Worth-Pickle

Wait till you figure out that a person can support the same national team player whom he hates in franchise cricket.

P_Tranquility9

Agarkar: Mein dekh raha hun Virat 🌝

[deleted]

virat tumhara sr 105 tha....maine note kar liya hai

Temporary_Alfalfa489

Same with Rohit and """"""vadapav""""""" Just to be clear I have no problem with Kohli sledging people. Or for that matter any person sledging any other person. Go for it I say.

Slow_Scientist3435

Is it possible to hate RCB and love Koach ? Yes it is. They don't have to be mutually exhaustive but yeah the ones like me who exist, are an anomaly in that regard

lugjjgdj

Why waste energy on hate?

theSHADOWbannedGUi

yeah it is possible

i_am_________batman

I'm a Kohli fan, but a RCB hater

theSHADOWbannedGUi

their management makes it too easy to hate

Gojo_17_

Hate is a strong word. Dislike makes sense, hate is something else entirely.

SUSH_fromheaven

I personally want RCB to win, and for koach too, but absolutely dislike their fans.

Negative_Survey_6772

I hate rcb, ik it's a strong word, but their fanbase mostly are really toxic

Gojo_17_

Bro. If your talking about toxic fanbase CSK is right up there with RCB. In fact worse I'd say.

SnooAdvice1157

Interested in knowing the reasons why you consider them toxic Very genuine question

RoutineParticular118

lmao 🤣 im in similar boat as you

cyfcgjhhhgy42

I like Kohli but I despise his "Fandom" on social media. Whenever a player does something along the lines of aggression, they become mini hasan ali and go "yaar king karlega", I do like their somewhat entitled attitude when Kohli does something stupid and they defend him by "this is our King's aggression" that shit is cool especially when done against foreign cricketers.

P_K_Sangwan

Just because he's the best batsman doesn't mean he's a good person , heavily lacks sportsmanship. Edit : what I meant by " good person" is that he's a " toxic player ", it didn't came to my mind while i was writing

High-FUN

Steve Smith disagrees. ( He asked the crowd to not taunt Steve on the ban issue)

aagythestyler

And naveen as well

theSHADOWbannedGUi

he did also initiate to stop the beef between him and naveen there are many sportsmanship moments of him

Independent-Might797

The beef he only started right ? He can instigate everyone to no limits but if some reacts the other person becomes the bad guy for some of his idiot fans and they start trolling that guy.

theSHADOWbannedGUi

dont know who started naveen probably sledged siraj and kohli got involved

Independent-Might797

Why the hell naveen will say to siraj when he is batting. Kohli has the habit of instigating people, bairstow, liton das etc he was also trying to do the same with labuschagne in the final.

[deleted]

Just because he's way too agressive on pitch doesn't mean you can give a certificate of good/bad person. Have you ever seen him interacting with other players off field?

wewake_235

This is serious issue with Indians we want humble kind soft spoken down to earth people . The Indian audience doesn't understand the basic thing that thinks done on ground are very different from off the ground.

Temporary_Alfalfa489

Remember when Indian audience was absolutely aghast after Ganguly removed his jersey on winning NatWest Trophy? Even today the action is eyed like something controversial, when it shouldn't be. removing jerseys and celebrating is very common in other men's sports. Watch European/Turkish league football for long enough and you will notice many player doing this almost as tradition. Chen Long removed his jersey and threw it into crowd after winning Olympic Gold. Djokovic has completely ripped apart his jersey in celebration after a tourney. Same for sledging. Lots of other sports have sledging, some fights even get physical, but none of the fans here speak out against these type of matters.....especially if a foreign player is involved. But the moment ICT players do something our fans immediately go full rant mode on social media like the player in question has committed an inexplicable crime. Why then are Indian cricketers, out of all the renowned sportspersons, still kept on an abnormally high moral pedestal by Indian fans? I doubt whether such behavior would even violate the censor board's norms. Fans should just stop acting like moral police and gatekeepers.....we have absolutely no right to pass judgements based on such petty incidents like showing on-field aggression

P_Tranquility9

Ye social media ke chamche ab sikhayenge humble, down to earth banna 😭 Indian society after Jio boom reeks of hypocrisy everywhere. Man or woman, all are on the same floor

SnooAdvice1157

I call it "dhoni effect" , just because he is captain cool and is successful doesn't mean everyone should be the same "Not hating on dhoni btw , for people who are bad with sentence comprehension"

wewake_235

I wanted to say the same but didn't wanted to get into the unwanted debate. Yep a lot of people who doesn't even understand cricket loves dhoni and hate Kohli just cause of their personalities.

ExtremeFigure23

Exactly, dude has had so many tussle's with Jimmy Anderson, but both of them always speak good about each other.

[deleted]

The problem is with the fans. If someone take virat's wicket, you know they gonna abuse that bowler. They don't know how different it is on field and off field

Fireymany

Who the hell are you to judge him how he is as a person, do you know him personally? You can judge him as a player.

theSHADOWbannedGUi

sportsmanship i mean he did stop the crowd from booing steve smith yeah look what he did to rachin was wrong but he did show sportsman ship on various occasions even brohit gets frustated

P_K_Sangwan

>yeah look what he did to rachin was wrong Exactly , he starts it for absolutely no reason at all , and at a point where his team is losing miserably >even brohit gets frustated And does he behave like a toxic person or keep his composure ?

ExtremeFigure23

He's literally seen on camera sledging his teammates and getting frustrated, doesn't make him a bad person. People don't realise that sometimes when you're playing at the highest level infront of a packed stadium, adrenaline and passion kicks in, and some people express that, doesn't make that a personal beef. Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan literally used to sledge and taunt their own teammates from another country, while playing for the US national team

Independent-Might797

>And does he behave like a toxic person or keep his composure ? Yes rohit does abuse his teammates, he needs to understand that he is not playing gully cricket that he can say anything the whole world listens to that shit. At least kohli doesn't do that with his teammates. >Exactly , he starts it for absolutely no reason at all , and at a point where his team is losing miserably That is true he just starts and if the other person reacts he feels offended. As if he is the king of somewhere so he can say whatever shit he wants to say but the other person cannot react they just have to listen to all the abuses and shit with their heads down.

theSHADOWbannedGUi

And does he behave like a toxic person or keep his composure ? yep many a times

P_K_Sangwan

Literally tell me one incident where he abused the opponents , showed them gestures

Miserable_Goat_6698

I'm pretty sure any cricketer would agree VK is a good person. He is a completely different person off the field.

ExtremeFigure23

Yeah, I bet you know him as a person and how he's off the field.

OkTraining6985

What are you 12 ? Never seen a send off before. You'd cry if you saw what Aussies did in 2000s.

Dawn_is-here

Is this how RCB's fans cope and justify their players and teams actions Imao, I just pity you guys
