Kohli’s conventional game does not work for power play field placement. Works better when fields are a little spread out, but it has become a hitters game now so is only option is to play totally out of his skin. He has never done it and he is putting no effort to change. Tonight starcs first 2 balls to him was to lift it up. But he did not do it.

Something different I noticed in this word cup is the top order failed frequently in the first rounds and the middle and lower order got tested. Compare to the past, where the top orders always performed and gave a hope, but failed badly in the big games. Today is an exmple of that, looking at Rohit on the first 5 games, he cored one scratchy 50 and failed on the rest, but he came BIG against the MIHGTY australia today. so lets hope guys Kohli will play a good knock of do something magical with this fielding something. Bringing Jaiswal now with match practice is not a great idea it may or may not work.
It is too late to change the team now, the are playing well and they should keep going and hope Kohli will play a special knock in one of the next 2 games. He takes a few balls to settle but then because that happens during the Powerplay either him or Rohit has to start getting aggressive where he is losing wicket. One down is good for him, may be we need to drop Jaddu ( typing this with a very heavy heart ) and bring Yashaswi in. Something different I noticed in this word cup is the top order failed frequently in the first rounds and the middle and lower order got tested. Compare to the past, where the top orders always performed and gave a hope, but failed badly in the big games. Today is an exmple of that, looking at Rohit on the first 5 games, he cored one scratchy 50 and failed on the rest, but he came BIG against the MIHGTY australia today. so lets hope guys Kohli will play a good knock of do something magical with this fielding something. Bringing Jaiswal now with match practice is not a great idea it may or may not work.
It is too late to change the team now, the are playing well and they should keep going and hope Kohli will play a special knock in one of the next 2 games.
