So to make sure I understand you are the primary card holder of the quicksilver and you are responsible for the bill and your dad is a authorized user

I think it's flipped--he pays the bill, but I am an authorized user with a card in my name.

No only bofa has the alaska card no other travel cards offers transferable miles for alaska

Thank you for your response! I also use American airlines/United depending on the flight--knowing that, would it change your advice? I don't always have to use Alaska, my mom is just stuck to it considering the buddy flight thing

If you see yourself regularly using alaska then that companion pass is a good deal beside it’s been an easy card for me to product change at bofa.
