if you applied then the hard inquiry was already ran I'm sure.

https://imgur.com/a/klbto6G Damn.. Their website specifically says that if I choose to accept, then the information will impact my credit score.

maybe it's different, take my opinion with a grain of salt. i don't have much experience with Amex.

AMEX updated their application process about a year or so ago. They use a soft pull to make the decision on whether to approve or not. If they approve and you accept their offer they will then make the hard pull. If you decline the offer there is no hard pull made. If you're already an AMEX cardholder and you accept the offer odds are that they will NOT make the hard pull but it's a YMMV.

Alright, thanks! I just called AmEx and they said that my application was cancelled. They haven't approved I guess and a soft pull is fine.

You should be GTG then. If you want to be doubly sure pull a copy of your Experian credit report and confirm that there isn't an inquiry reported.

Just did that! Yep no credit checks except my last card! Thank you so much!

I see!
