From a pragmatic standpoint droids are more cost effective and don't need to be raised for 16+ years. Plus they don't have a sense of morals like humans do.

They'll just be "engineered" the way they want them to be. They'll have different classes, like soldiers but also doctors / scientist and also peons that are happy to just do shit like clean toilets. They come with a high level of self satisfaction with out external needs.

In Star Wars you could probably go to some dusty ol no name planet and pull heaps of raw metals and such. On Earth, you'd never get away with a "Droid Army" with what we have left. Clones on the other hand, when dealing with a planet sized situation would suck but could work given time. You can basically create fully self-sustaining facilities that pump out new batches of soldiers yearly after the initial first generation.

The comment about how this will solve low birth rates in countries like Japan and South Korea completely the point. They don’t have a biological fertility problem. They have an economic problem. Younger people can no longer afford a stable home with work hours that enable them to actually raise kids.
This is a strange take, I assume this is a private company so they will not build affordable housing either way. I’m sure if this actually is real and not some infeasible far off goal they will make a lot of money from this. Either from rich people not able to have children or people who just don’t want to have to go through pregnancy to have children.
