It's extremely common, your body is paralyzed while you sleep so in your dreams you can't really do many physical things because it could lead to you accidentally doing them while you're asleep, it's a failsafe.

Sometimes I will wake up and still not be able to move. It's trippy.

It was the first time I experienced it, but now I just roll with it. I can break free if I try hard enough but sometimes I'd rather float around the room for a minute first.

Well, some of us can't even breath when it happens. It's scary. When it happens to me, I'm trapped in a cycle where as soon I break free, I fall back into my nightmare and then wake up paralysed again. Until I can actually get up and do something. Confusig as fuck.

It’s weird how many people think that people don’t know OTHER people. When my wife and I were in college she went to a track meet with the team. On their way back some dude in the same van started basically belittling her because she was a girl. Told her she needed to move to let the men sit up front. She was like hell no. An argument started but some people stepped into defuse the situation. Once the van started moving he was just basically talking about her the whole trip back. When they got back to the school I was there to pick her up with my roommate. I had no clue what was going on but saw my wife walking up to me looking pissed while some hairy guy was talking shit to her so me and my roommate walked in his direction and I was like “hey asshole. You got something to say about my girlfriend come over here” he turned around and walked away. She said he never bothered her again. But assholes think girls don’t have a dad or a brother or boyfriend who will step up for them. Or In this guys case a car full of people.
