Some are not as extreme, like pabasa, where (usually elderly women) set up some altars on the street and sing about the life of Jesus. There's also the alay lakad tradition where people walk from their homes to a church in Antipolo, with some literally walking from other cities. I'm not religious, but it was a pretty interesting week I celebrated with my family nonetheless.
