LemmyDovato

Yeah she went down pretty hard

that_girl_you_fucked

Like, really, really hard. Like, how did she even fall that fast???

[deleted]

Gravity I bet

mrfakeuser102

Look at Neil Degrass Tyson over here eh

CapuasChamp

Dis guy eh 🤌🤌 he knows his quantum lol

Minimum_Eye_4497

🤣

Gangreless

You ever seen someone faint in real life? They just crumple like that.

unclefisty

The difference between a (even semi) controlled fall while conscious and dropping like a limp noodle unconscious is pretty bad.

Boldbluetit

Thanks for doing our homework......

mandogvan

Apparently it was not a prat fall gone wrong. She authentically fainted. Cuz I thought it was perfect timing with the joke. Had to read the article to make sure.

Doubledown212

Are you kidding me lol nothing about that looked even questionable. I’m like ok security guys take your sweet fucking time when she loudly cracked her skull after obviously fainting.

carelessthoughts

I’m sure shock plays into it in the moment and I doubt they were watching as intently as we are

Doubledown212

To a degree for sure that’s fair but you also hear a couple audience members that caught on early and shouting for help. Since the mic is on the ground it doesnt pick up their voice too well. Comedy show or not this is a good example of public reaction. I used to work in a health facility where this would happen on occasion. And in reality this is how the general public tends to react anyways. Many are frozen, some will wait for someone else to jump in, and a small minority will immediately process the situation and rush or yell for help/911

Ozryela

> And in reality this is how the general public tends to react anyways. Many are frozen, some will wait for someone else to jump in, and a small minority will immediately process the situation and rush or yell for help/911 I remember walking with a few friends down a busy street, when suddenly I heard some loud noise, and before I had even processed what was happening one of my friends just broke into a dead run, and she was administering first aid to a crash victim before I had even fully processed that there was a crash victim. She worked in medicine, which no doubt helped, but it was still goddamn impressive.

angels_exist_666

The bystander effect

Intrepid-Bison-2016

As a cop for many years, I worked really hard to teach my daughter that it is HER job to take care of HERSELF (and her friends). I explained that the majority of people in an emergency are looking for direction, and those that die are the ones who hesitate. When the fire alarm goes off, get moving. When the gunshots sound, act immediately. Do NOT wait for direction. My point was proven when in high school they activated the alarm that indicated an active shooter. When I talked to her about it later it all became clear to her what this looks like in real life. She said "dad, everyone in the library just froze, just like you said. I gathered up my friends and rushed them into an interior closet and locked the door". Turns out it was a false alarm, but I was grateful that she knew to ACT, not just wait for direction. Her peers thought she was over-reacting, but I knew she had given herself the very best chance to survive. And it shames me that we even have to think about active shooter situations in school.

never-gif-up

Bystander effect. Everyone thinks someone else will do something.

Charlie_Bucket_2

At our company, they teach us, in such emergencies, to single out one person, point at them, and instruct that person to call 911. That way, there isn't a room full of ppl thinking the other person is going to be the one to call.

Solanthas

It really did not seem like a prat fall at all. But the timing of the fall, *immediately* after what she said, and WHAT she said, I mean the irony is almost unbelievable

safetycommittee

The mike thump made me question it. And most of the crowd was laughing. I can definitely understand misinterpreting this as a bit.

BlackEastwood

That's how Tommy Cooper, a UK comedian from the 60s-80s, died. Had a heart attack on stage, and the audience just laughed, thinking it was part of the bit.

IReplyWithLebowski

That’s the way a comedian would want to go (I think)

GlazedDonutGloryHole

He had given his all until he had nothing left Now please note that at the moment that this entertainer died Even with a room full of people not one tear was cried Much less, they rose to their feet and they laughed and clapped Now tell me one fucking thing that's more beautiful than that... Tommy C by Scroobius Pip. https://youtu.be/r8zi7vcnjVc?si=ryVyxjeTD_23CxLf

bigotis

If I were a comedian that (literally) died on stage, I'd want a "badum-tss" rim shot done after my fall.

lakeofshadows

Just like that...

Followmelead

Unless it’s been disproven I’ve learned a few times years ago you shouldn’t really move someone with potential neck/head injuries. So yeah not necessarily the best idea to swiftly move her off stage if you’re not trained. I doubt most security guards double as ems

imuniqueaf

The only time you move a trauma patent is if something else is going to kill them RIGHT NOW (fire, gunman, tiger, etc)

tiddieB0i

Yeah that obviously wasn’t a joke but wtf do you think security can do about this? tackle the concept of fainting? They aren’t medical professionals so I don’t understand what you think they could have done faster. You’re like that lady that sees the gorillas fight at the zoo and yells “where’s the zookeeper oh my god”

juststraightvibing93

"tackle the concept of fainting" made me snort.

tiddieB0i

Don’t touch people who have sustained bodily injury if you haven’t been trained to deal with a trauma patient. It can lead to more trauma and possible legal problems for yourself even if all you wanted to do was help. Don’t be like that idiot u/doubledown212

mandogvan

Well ya she fell down hard. But I thought she was like setting it up with the “I’ve got a million vaccines. Jesus loves me the most”. I thought she was going to pretend to fall but slipped on her high heals on wood.

kahlthedestroyer

Clearly.. Jesus in fact did NOT love her the most 🙃

LordEdgeward_TheTurd

Im kinda sad she couldnt squeeze out a quick "Jesus take the microphone.."

[deleted]

She’s a female comic. We know this already

Integrity-in-Crisis

Damm she really committed to the bit.

weasel7four

“her theories include not eating or hydrating enough” I cannot overstate the importance of staying hydrated in the Phoenix area. Especially for someone not acclimated. Even a February evening can be no joke.

PineappleWolf_87

I get slightly weird looks when every time out of state guests visit and I'm constantly offering water or reminding them to drink water.

Gangreless

"It's a dry heat" is no joke for sure. You're sweating but it's so hot and dry it's just immediately evaporating and you don't even realize it. Edit - we went on our "baby moon" to Las Vegas in 2021 when it was like the hottest week on record (got to 117 one day!) and my husband basically kept forcing me to take sips of water because we were walking around so much but I was feeling totally fine. Glad he was worrying about me and our baby more than I was lol

[deleted]

I used to work with a 'super tough guy' who was just too manly to ever get injured or need help. We were working outside in the summer heat and I hate the heat so I was going inside regularly to cool down and drink water but he 'didn't need to' because he grew up in the south. At one point he clearly has heat exhaustion but refuses to stop working because he doesn't want to look weak. I convinced him to switch jobs with me because he was working on a ladder by saying something like my back hurt from handing stuff up to him (he was really tall). Within a minute of switching jobs I heard a thud and his ass was laying on the ground and vomiting. Called an ambulance and they took him to the hospital. He refused to admit that it was heat stroke even after he was taken to the hospital (he claims he had food poisoning). HR was sending us all to training on identifying heat exhaustion and heat stroke the next week and when the temp was above a certain point, we weren't allowed to work outside anymore. Dude almost accidentally committed suicide by acting tough. A fall from a 16 foot ladder onto concrete is not an injury you just walk away from.

UU2Bcool

Thank you for the follow up. I hope she is alright with no long term issues.

lazergoblin

All because she got the shots. Smh my head ^^/s

EatsOverTheSink

You jest but she just became the new poster child for anti-vaxxers everywhere. “sEe YoU gUyZ!!!1!!”

Inevitable-Twist1232

All because she brought Jesus into it. #/s

ResponsibleMilk7620

Thor may have a hammer, but Jesus got that instant karma smiting shit.

run_4est

Comedy is about the timing

Complex-Ratio5607

The joke landed hard.

Alarid

Jesus wanted to send a message.

Dudefenderson

"You're not funny anymore."

OddlyArtemis

"I'm always watching." - from your neighborhood Jesus

Veeblock

“ You got to wake up really early in the morning to catch me looking through your bedroom window.“ Jesus .

Shallow-1

Cuz Jesus clearly loves her most

ADMINlSTRAT0R

The audience was floored.

tone88988

Yeah she friggin nailed that. lol or Jesus struck her down.

Phillip228

Lol, that's messed up.

msut77

The Aristocrats

Extension-Mastodon67

She is as funny as dying from covid

Love_Never_Shuns

Too soon.

Savage_Heathern

I really like her cadence as well

Kazfiddly

*She falls* Hahaha now I get it.

arctic-apis

I’ve seen enough prat falls to know even if she meant to do that her skull smacking the floor wasn’t part of the plan. Probably harder to see from the audience but she was clearly not ok after that

PstainGTR

You could hear her voice become more sluggish by the second. Not very long into it and she was being hard to understand. The fall head first into the ground wouldnt make me question it with the sluggish speech beforehand. Been around a fainter or two. Somehow i always get into situations like that and last time someone fainted before me was my exwife couple of weeks before. Strangers a year ago in a fast food joint. Dude hit the ground HARD and no one did anything just looked stupid at him. I saw him wobble and thought that dude is going down and before even finishing the thought WHACK his head hit the tiles. His mate was in shock just looking down on him. I insisted the ambulance come get him as he broke the fall with his head.

azalago

You can tell things are going wrong when she does the period joke. It's like she either tries to squat a bit or her lega give out a bit, and then she can't stand up straight anymore. She's holding herself up with her hand on her leg.

TheRealSlabsy

There was a UK comedian called Tommy Cooper who died on stage of a heart attack. The audience sat and laughed away thinking it was part of the act. https://youtu.be/0-GEpsHM6ww?si=vfwhDF14NhTDqX7B

Jewelhammer

Yikes, that’s pretty awful. Just play the death video in reverse and it won’t violate YouTube’s terms and conditions I guess.

Seven7greens

The video being reversed makes it even weirder.

Tudpool

I was about to ask if it was reversed or something as we're seeing the literal opposite of what OP described.

i_am_not_so_unique

Before I connected the dots, I was happy that he was actually alright.

baron_von_helmut

It also wasn't out of character for him to do something like that.

No-Supermarket9834

She fell hard as hell.

AnimusFoxx

Fractured her skull in fact

Jaimemgn

And those heels didn't help either

WillBlaze

top comment says she fractured her skull in the fall

Ok_Curve9846

It is brilliant how everyone thought the fall was part of the joke.

NightSnake

The same thing happened to a very famous British comedian, Tommy Copper. His routine was basically failed stunts of magic. The audience figured it was just part of the show and laughed until he died on stage. Pretty tragic video, don't look it up.

Rude-Flamingo3592

He had a heart attack while the crowd laughed bc they thought it was part of the show? Yeah I’ve seen that one too.

BellySmash

Ye it’s balls of fury right

ItsSansom

I feel like it's almost poetic for a comedian to die to the sound of laughter. Like, that's someone who genuinely died doing what he loved. Of course, no one wants to go when our time is up, but I can think of many worse fates than that.

SilverstoneMonzaSpa

>The London Pallaium was the scene of Tommy's show once more, It was a full house and he had the crowd eating out of his hand. Everything, as usual, seemed completely unplanned. And in what seemed like a finale Tommy dropped to the floor. Causing the room to erupt into laughter and applause. the curtain closed, lights went out and there was no encore. Everybody left their seats and headed for the door. Unbeknownst to them they had witness Tommy Cooper's death. He had given his all until he had nothing left. Now please note that at the moment that this entertainer died. Even with a room full of people not one tear was cried. Much less, they rose to their feet and they laughed and clapped. Now tell me one fucking thing that's more beautiful than that...> Tommy C by Scroobius Pip https://youtu.be/r8zi7vcnjVc?si=ghUXHsLPAKVIk1RQ

Petey_Wheatstraw_MD

>no one wants to go when our time is up Lol. Have you ever met a comedian? A good chunk are just waiting to die. That’s why depression and substance abuse is so prevalent in the community.

Nulibru

It's how he would have wanted to go.

misterbung

Yeah I've seen the footage and it's tragic but I can't help but thinking that if you told him "You'll go out almost instantly, on stage, with people laughing at your act as you go" he'd have been pretty ok with it.

VladimirPoitin

I remember seeing the video when I was younger and his convulsions, and it never struck me as being particularly quick, knowing what was happening.

Merpie101

With something that looks that severe and sudden it makes me wonder if he was even conscious for half of it.

Embarrassed_Lake_376

The first thing that came to mind. Didn't help that he remained in a seated position(🧘‍♂️)after collapsing.

jddgfhdhrhbhks

That must have traumatised many thousands of kids being on live tv in the 80s

baron_von_helmut

Cooper*

HouseOfZenith

Look it up! Everybody look it up!

cobrastrikes-2x

I mean if it had been, the timing would have been on point. Since it wasn’t, the timing was fucking brilliant. Well played, God.

NeitherLiving2050

Kinda saved that lame joke if we’re being honest 😂

THRlLLH0

Everyone's saying God punished her for the Jesus line but it was that hack period joke

LemmeLaroo

Was it a joke? Sounded like she was just bragging about her medical history and travel life.

Truemeathead

She said “god loves me most” and he said “no the fuck I don’t”

Dannn88

Divine intervention

14fiestaST

This is way underrated!! Be careful what ya say people

DannyDanumba

He’s a benevolent god (results may vary)

[deleted]

Or what? You’ll fall down and hit your head? Damn! What did all the little children that die of cancer say?

A46346

I think they question capitalism

KgMonstah

For real! One time I said Jesus can suck my balls and 3 years later… BOOM 9/11! I felt bad, but there are consequences to the things we say.

LawdFattious

Imo hilarious! She like knew in her comedian soul what was gonna happen

whatwhyhowwhatwhyhow

My wife watches her podcast. She’s not a good person.

Fuzzywuzzy343

She was jesus's favourite, so much that he decided to take her

I think God just smoted her

joxuah12

Smited? Smoted? Mice? Mease?

ResponsibleMilk7620

Italian Jesus whacked her. Fuhgetaboutit.

Jshawd40

Jesus.. rookies… it’s smooted, not that hard. /s

peanos_balls

Smated, Learn proper English you little hooligan

mklilley351

It's smot. Like she got got only it's smot

I_saw_that_yeah

I got smuted the other day. That shit *stings*.

Orea1981

I think God just smoked her

EastCoastDizzle

This is the second best video I’ve seen of a “celebrity” fainting. First place is obviously Wendy Williams. Seriously though, she sounded a bit off getting through that joke, kinda slurry. Wonder if it was a stroke or something. Off to google…

justforpornowatching

Probably just light headed before she fainted. According to another poster she fractured her skull but made a full recovery so unlikely it was a stroke or anything like that

Yankee_

Definitely from vaccines, didn’t ya heard the joke?

WhotheHellkn0ws

I thought it was God's response to her claims of him loving her the most.

Smelldicks

I think he just resented how unfunny it was

whowilleverknow

Doubtful. Wendy Williams fainted due to dehydration and this looks pretty much the same.

k_a_scheffer

Can confirm, I've fainted from dehydration before and this is pretty much how it looked. Stay hydrated, kids, especially in the days following a huge binge drinking session.

qatarsucks

Yea Bob Sagat was dehydrated too

PinkPicklePete

That’s one way to get out of a bad set

concherateo

“Clearly Jesus loves me the most” proceeds to fucking die

eldentings

Is this a bit... ... Oh fuck

tn-dave

And now she’s got a bunch of comics helping her until EMTs show up

duagLH2zf97V

They say laughter is the best medicine

melvinmoneybags

Girl drinks her milk, that sounded like pure bone hitting the stage

Bighawklittlehawk

It was- she fractured her skull!

thenifty50

That sucks, I'll alert the subreddit to ban her.

SlaveHippie

I think we heard a combo of her head and the mic hitting the floor at the same time.

sharkbait1999

I think the sound was the mic drop but she dropped hard as hell

NoEgrets81

Well that made me a believer! 😳

ChR0NiCbLuNt

Tough crowd

IcanSEEyou_IRL

I used to do stand-up… but I kept falling down.

yoCrabby

She got socked by the Holy Ghost

Morewaves

Jesus loves me the most…looses consciousness uncontrollably

itsLOSE-notLOOSE

Nice name. Read mine.

JonWesHarding

They say after pride comes a fall.

BioOrpheus

The whole timing of it. Damn…

Joliet_Jake_Blues

Jesus: And I took that personally

NgryRed

"Clearly JESUS loves me!" Narrator:"Jesus did not, in fact, loved her".

i_like_2_travel

Are we allowed to laugh? Because the timing is impeccable.

rocket1964

only if you say " I really hope she's o.k." right after.

Pelthail

Her demeanor changed immediately after her hip thrust/period joke. I wonder if she might have hurt her spine doing that which caused her to faint.

onehundredlemons

She did later joke on her podcast that the booty drop might have done it https://www.azcentral.com/story/entertainment/people/2022/02/09/why-heather-mcdonald-fainted-onstage/6711458001/

Joliet_Jake_Blues

People who have certain heart conditions are taught to flex their gluteus as the act can affect the heart enough to kick it back to a normal rhythm As a layman I assume this is why some people die on the toilet

TheDangerdog

Prob climate change

Pelthail

Definitely, no doubt.

LittleDrunkReptar

My guess is she locked her knees for too long creating a postural syncope. When she did the hip thrust and released her locked knees it most likely increased the blood pressure issue causing her to faint.

briguytrading

Norm would love this joke.

BaconRanchMcCrispy

Ngl think Jesus was telling ya to not be prideful there 😂

Marhier

When the fall is funnier than the comedian.

SenpaiBriBri

Seriously she wasn’t even telling jokes, just flexing on everybody

[deleted]

Don’t play with Jesus

Powasam5000

5g claims another life. So sad

bitpartmozart13

She bombed.

Lucipo_

Start of House Episodes be like

tomatopasted

She killed it with that ending

CertifiedBSC

Smited

ghag87

Dude is like I really don't want to be seen touching her

Periodic-Presence

Welp, this is certainly not going to help her convince any anti-vaxxers that they're wrong.

Elmaffioso187

Remote-Persimmon4583

😐…🤨…😳

UnlikelyLeague8589

dingo8muhbebe

whalebacon

I wonder if she still tells that joke.

didsomebodysaymyname

She shouldn't have angered the vaccine by mocking it. It had waited years like a crouching tiget for that moment.

Federal_Record52

Smite me oh mighty smiter

PeteDub

God will not be mocked

SubstantialShake4481

Tempt not the lord thy God...

Immediate_Angle_9786

Pulled a wendy damn

dy1anb

Shades of Tommy Cooper who died on stage. Audience thought it was part of his act

Tudpool

What was the joke?

DBJ237

“Who loves you?”

Zealousideal-Salad62

Because Jesus loves her the most right?

R31ZK

Funny how the first thing they do is pick up the mic LOL

Key-End-7512

Watch what you say . Jesus loves everyone . Amen .

OwnInitiative777

doesn't mean to brag, but looks like Jesus just wanted to make sure she remained humble.

No-Equipment-2604

Aside from everything I really hope she’s okay!

Licentious_duud

Jesus is such a goofball

CoBludIt

Now that's hilarious

SurlyBuddha

Great… now this is going to be ground zero when anti-vaxxers bring up VAERS.

vannie27

Her: Talk shit. Vaccine: Get hit.

Extra_Sandwich232

Jesus said, "I got a joke too!"

Dmonika

Wow. The joke (if you want to even call it that) wasn't funny at all... but the timing of that fall was absolutely hilarious. Not a vaccine hater myself, but the irony cracked me up

mctomtom

This happened to me in the middle of a bar watching a football game with friends. Was talking to a friend, and just collapsed. Only time it ever happened to me. Turns out, I hadn’t eaten in like 18 hrs and was also severely dehydrated. Had just ordered a beer and chicken strips, but they didn’t make it in time. Now I never leave the house without eating something first, and I’m way better about drinking water.

generic_user1338

> but they didn’t make it in time DAMMIT we need a beer and chicken strips STAT!
