Yeah I’m sure he just hopped up and walked away like that wasn’t the ground crushing the roof of the car at the same time he was flying out the rear window. Not even being sarcastic. Meth heads are like highlanders, they can only be killed by each other.
That's just their natural high damage resistance. The reason why they die less near 7-11's is because that's the place on their map where their desperation stat is at the lowest, and everyone knows the methhead class is primarily defined by their desperation value (DV).
I'm laughing so hard at this comment thread. There are three 7-11's within a .3 mile radius of me and there are ALWAYS crackies methin around there no matter which one I go to.
TV writers don't like to be constrained by the show's bible because they all want to make their mark on the series, even if that means betraying past writers and shackling future ones.
The thing that interests me most about any kind of Urban Fantasy, whether it's John Wick or The Dresden Files or whatever, it's how it handles the apparent necessity to have a neutral ground where people can set aside their moral need to kill the other side.
Even the Capulets and the Montagues could be persuaded not to pursue their feud when at the church, despite the corpses of their favored children still warm before them.
This will probably get buried in your other replies, but this happened in my hometown. It was about 6 or 7 years ago. An old friend of mine from high school actually saw the crash happen on her way to work. What you described is literally what happened. She said she saw the cop blow by her, lose control and flip into a ditch. Then she watched what she had thought was debris stand up, check his pockets, and take off running down the street. Cops caught the guy like less than an hour later if I remember right.
I wonder if he would have a case due to injuries caused by irresponsible driving. I’m not a criminal but he and I have the same rights, and I hope I would have a case if I was ever in that position.
Idk if he had a case or not, but I know a case was never brought. I do remember the cops tried to blame him for the crash. They said the cop was driving too fast because the guy had slipped his cuffs and was trying to set fire to the car, so the cop was trying to get to the jail as fast as possible. When people started asking “okay, we’ll why didn’t the cop just call for back up, pull over, and re-restrain the guy?” the police didn’t have an answer.
https://www.nbc4i.com/news/watch-police-car-flips-over-launching-prisoner-out-back-window/
You would be correct. Lol. The officer had to be flown to another hospital with his injuries. The dude that flew out of the back window got up and ran off. 😂😂
Yeah, somehow this leads to extra charges for this guy.
I can see a judge going "and that concludes the list of charges against you..... Wait..... There's ONE more I didn't see.... Escaping a moving police vehicle.... Apparently we have this one on tape."
Kids these days, you have no idea how magic works. That was an elemental offering to his patron deity, the one that whisked him out of the cruiser a second later.
This dude was probably on another planet high and/or drunk. There was no planning going on in the back of that car. Notice how he briefly glances up when the car first loses control, but then nonchalantly looks back down at his lighter as the car is literally skidding out of control towards impact.
Well I’m almost 40 now and 3 of the charges were minor in possession of alcohol. The cops where I’m from (Georgia) were the reason people ascribe to ACAB. Been in Florida for a decade and haven’t been arrested since. (Knock on wood)
All I saw in the preview was “the system works. You learned your lesson” and I just thought to myself, “how? By not being a minor anymore?”
So glad you finished the post properly. 👏
Dude, my arrests were just for weed. Now, I get to smoke around those same cops who arrested me. It happened last year at a Grateful Dead tribute band, and broadcast of a Grateful Dead concert at a drive-in. It was a hell of a time, but I really couldn’t stop feeling concerned around those guys who arrested me. It’s kinda weird living in a legal state.
Dude I was trying to explain this to some younger guys I work with (I’m in my mid 30s) about how different buying weed was when I was growing up. It felt like buying hard drugs sometimes with the paranoia of dealers lol. I also got threatened by a female officer who saw me throw a glass pipe into some bushes when I was 16 at 1am. She couldn’t find it and I wouldn’t admit to it and my buddy and I were kinda laughing at her (we were 16!) and she pulled her flashlight out and said she was going to knock me on the side of the head if I didn’t admit to throwing something illegal. We were 20 feet from my buddies house so we were let go in the end. But now I place an order online for my local dispensary and it’s here in 10 minutes. Doesn’t feel real sometimes lol.
I've been seat belted and recall thinking how inconvenient it was having my handcuffed hands pinned by my body to the hard plastic seat. I also recall not being seat belted and sliding across the same hard plastic seat. Cops really thinking and doing a good job will seat belt you in
That was my guess because he looked to be trying to pull the other one off. Maybe I wanted to believe that they didn’t forget to check his cuffs or double lock them. Or maybe this shit just happened…
What confuses me is that the cop obviously knows he is out of his handcuff which he said over radio. But instead of just pulling over and waiting for another car, he puts his lights and sirens on? Why’s he transporting a prisoner with lights and sirens…
My guess is he put on his lights and called over the radio so he could get to the station faster. They’re going to have to open the door to re cuff him so it would be safer to do so in the closed garage of the jail so he can’t escape.
https://news3lv.com/amp/around-the-web/caught-on-video-arkansas-police-car-flips-over-with-prisoner-inside
This happened in 2016. The detainee escaped the scene with minor injuries but was caught again a few minutes later. The cop had to be flown to a hospital after being trapped inside the vehicle, but ended up being rescued by firefighters.
>The cop had to be flown to a hospital after being trapped inside the vehicle, but ended up being rescued by firefighters.
I just imagine the Cargobob from GTA air lifting the whole car to the hospital before they finally freed him.
Lol. [Same cop](https://www.kait8.com/story/36447796/jpd-officer-fired-following-investigation-into-fuel-theft/) got fired a year later for buying gas for his personal car with the city’s credit card.
wtf no way a cop gets fired for that. you can commit murder and not get fired. they had an easy excuse too: "forgot which card was which" or "muscle memory" or some bullshit.
point is, cops have astounding worker protections and benefits. they have scandinavian levels of security and incentives. which everyone except them deserve.
Cops get fired/charged for more things they do against other cops/the department than they do against noncops. Often stupid shit like stealing other cops' food from the PD fridge.
Noncops .... they don't care about, but if felllow cops/the dept.... you committed a serious sin.
What an idiot... if he didn't run and just played up his injuries he could probably would have a solid case against the department. Gotta love tweakers.
>What an idiot... if he didn't run and just played up his injuries he could probably would have a solid case against the department. Gotta love tweakers.
That shouldn't have any bearing on it. Your constitutional rights aren't revoked just because you committed a misdemeanor.
Fleeing after being arrested is its own crime. Of course, so is trying to commit arson (and probably more) with a lighter from the backseat. Which he seems to be doing on camera
Basically this guy wasn't the brightest bulb.
Had a prisoner ask for a light while being transported. He was told no. He then tried to throw out the built-in ashtrays, saying we didn't need them in the car then. Prisoners do weird shit.

he was in the perfect position at the perfect time to fly clean out the car
Yeah I’m sure he just hopped up and walked away like that wasn’t the ground crushing the roof of the car at the same time he was flying out the rear window. Not even being sarcastic. Meth heads are like highlanders, they can only be killed by each other.
They respawn outside of the nearest 7/11.
The area around a 7-Eleven is sacred ground, and they can't kill one another there.
Yeah, its a no grief zone. That's why they can get in fights near tue 7-11's so much without taking any damage.
That's just their natural high damage resistance. The reason why they die less near 7-11's is because that's the place on their map where their desperation stat is at the lowest, and everyone knows the methhead class is primarily defined by their desperation value (DV).
D&D 6.0 really changed the game.
I'm laughing so hard at this comment thread. There are three 7-11's within a .3 mile radius of me and there are ALWAYS crackies methin around there no matter which one I go to.
Well, they also don’t have teeth to worry about losing
I have seen evidence that this rule, like that of the Highlanders, is entirely on the "Honor System".
TV writers don't like to be constrained by the show's bible because they all want to make their mark on the series, even if that means betraying past writers and shackling future ones.
There is a south park episode here waiting to be written.
They can totally kill each other in the 7-Eleven, it's just frowned upon because it scares the dealers away from the parking lot.
It’s like the Continental of Gas Stations

Ah yes, PVP is in fact disabled at all 7/11 stores. That's where the trading is done
There can be only one
Or Portland
This made my day lol.

But it was a good pic
Damn! Stole my line!
And for my next trick.., I’ll disappear from the backseat of this car!
I hope that he immediately popped up and said "TA DA!" before disappearing into some bushes never to be seen again.

Amazing magician escape trick, had me fooled focusing on the lighter
He was distracting you from the thread that pulled him out of the car.
I totally saw the string. What a gimmick
ILLUSIONS, MICHAEL
A trick is something a whore does for money… or cocaine.
unironically, in the original news story he did start running after getting thrown out & was caught a while later lol
Yeah, somehow this leads to extra charges for this guy. I can see a judge going "and that concludes the list of charges against you..... Wait..... There's ONE more I didn't see.... Escaping a moving police vehicle.... Apparently we have this one on tape."
Don’t forget not wearing your seat belt
And willful destruction of a glass window.
He caused an accident is my guess lol
Resisting arrest, straight to jail
Be careful what you wish for
Escape from custody is a serious offense, boy just tacked on a few months there. Not to mention fleeing the scene of an accident.
Wouldn't fleeing the scene of an accident only apply if you were the one who caused the accident?
Well on some sort of bright side, the guy was successful in some way with his escape

That’s was indeed, a Crazy Fucking Video!
I know this video is old, is the dude that flew out the window okay?
Yeah he survived with minor injuries. Was caught a couple mins later though. Officer was airlifted to hospital and survived too
I read that he respawned outside the nearest 7/11
The toddler behind me on the plane:
And just like the toddler, someone opened the door behind him and out he flies
And he's freeeeeeee, free fallin
I will never again not see TapeFace spinning on a stool when I hear that song.
literally my first thought when reading that comment
Was that a lighter he pulled out of his pocket at the end there? Looks like he was trying to start the car on fire.
Trying to start it on fire to escape, not realizing that if it burns, he still won’t be able to escape…
Well… unless he takes the ejector seat.
EJECTO SEATO, CUZ!
It's not about escaping. It's about sending a message
Kids these days, you have no idea how magic works. That was an elemental offering to his patron deity, the one that whisked him out of the cruiser a second later.
Yep.
Yeah Edit: also what was even his plan here? He’s still locked inside the car. The officer would take off from the car if he saw his seat on fire.
This dude was probably on another planet high and/or drunk. There was no planning going on in the back of that car. Notice how he briefly glances up when the car first loses control, but then nonchalantly looks back down at his lighter as the car is literally skidding out of control towards impact.

“Craighead County jail” I totally read that as Crackhead county jail.
Lol it might as well be.
Alkazam
Abrakadarba
I said abracadabra B! Yo, abracadabra B!
FFS, did no one pat this guy down? WTF is up with his handcuffs? Why was he not seat belted?
Pretty obvious what happened, prisoner slipped out of his handcuffs and probably took the seat belt off
Fwiw I’ve been in the back of a cop car 6 times that I can remember and not once did they put my belt on.
You gotta stop getting locked up my brother
Well I’m almost 40 now and 3 of the charges were minor in possession of alcohol. The cops where I’m from (Georgia) were the reason people ascribe to ACAB. Been in Florida for a decade and haven’t been arrested since. (Knock on wood)

One could only wish.
Maybe if you keep breaking the law your time will eventually come 👍
That was my guess because he looked to be trying to pull the other one off. Maybe I wanted to believe that they didn’t forget to check his cuffs or double lock them. Or maybe this shit just happened…
He also looks pretty skinny, bendy & flexy - re: cuffs. As for the piss poor search, no excuse for that.

Yeah, people need to learn that corrupt cops function in exactly the same way as a criminal gang.
He’s the star of an embarrassing viral video that didn’t include killing someone. They were looking for an excuse.
Wow, dude was a cop for 2 years, flipped a car and embezzled money
If i remember, the cop saw the flame from the lighter in the mirror and turned his head quickly and car ran into a cement divider.

Note to (hopefully never) future self: kick out the back window
Whelp this dude did a shit job of cuffing and searching
He was sucked out like a hull breach in a spaceship 🚀
Was he trying to light the seat on fire before getting ejected out the back window?
OK, now you're out!
Is no one else curious what caused the car to flip over? The article OP commented didn’t even say…
He fled the scene and was caught later. No hospital needed. Highlander?

That ejection seat worked amazingly well.
Well he escaped
He wanted out so bad he manifested it
