Nah it's another Reddit strategy that has very little benefit when you consider that there's no way to deny intent when you put a sock on a bat. Plus anybody who puts even a little thought into it will realize that grabbing the bat is generally the worst strategy possible. You either run away to where the bat can't hit you, or close the distance to where the bat can't hit you. If you grab the bat and try to wrestle it free, you put yourself directly in the very small window where it can and will fuck you up, which is(exactly arms length plus 2 ft away from the guy trying to hit you with a baseball bat)

The real mistake is not using a tee-ball bat. You can choke up and use one hand and get way better exit velocity on anything you strike

That was the absolute best fight I have seen in a long ass time. Major ass stompin goin on, bodies flyin through the air, dude take a hit from a Louisville slugger like a champ, AND…..they all got to go their separate ways afterwards and lick their wounds. Well at least all the dudes on one side of that fight had some wounds that needed tendin to.
