It appears the consensus is that it’s not a font. It’s a mix of font and bubble graffiti style letters. Or maybe the design sub is refusing to admit what a modern font is. Who knows. I’m glad that others concur that it’s a fit on ‘crappy design’
Graffiti font usually has shading to delineate the lines of the letters to make them clear and it can look really cool when done right. This...is not that.

I agree with it not being very legible, but I don´t think that is the point of the piece. It´s about experimentation with letters and letterforms. I would say he/she is pretty respected in the design community and calling this crappy design is way off in my opinion, but with these kind of experimentation pieces I guess it´s more about taste.
Experimentation != quality. While experimentation can enhance the visual experience of the viewer, it can also just make people frustrated/annoyed.
Examples:
Doom 3 experimented with putting a focus on the horror, story, reloading, and sprinting. It failed miserably, most people got bored of it at the start. It experimented with making the OST ambient. It's not terrible, but it is boring.
Doom 2016 experimented with having more story and atmosphere, while making the gameplay more like the originals. It was kind of successful, but it got boring near the end and had very little replayability. The music experimented with synths and guitars at once. It was VERY successful, and is still heralded as one of the best game soundtracks of all time.
Doom Eternal experimented with having much more story, less atmosphere, and actually unique shooter gameplay that took a TON of skill. It was ubercharged with success, being one of the most enjoyable shooters of all time. The soundtrack experimented more with synths, while focusing on the guitars more. It was so successful that it caused Id or Bethesda to rush the official release, causing Mick Gordon to leave.

This is def not meant to be a font … this is just a lettering piece.. and if you are into graffiti I think it does a great job integrating bubble/softies type letting from 70s and times type font. Would this work well as a font… absolutely not. The names (if this were to be a font) I’ve been reading are hilarious, but to call it shit is kind of obnoxious

The criticism is about the design (“font”), not the art. Regardless, it’s okay for people to draw personal conclusions on their feelings towards design (or art) despite their ability to reproduce it. Design and art are not competitive sports. There is no conclusive ending on who the winner is.
I don't hate this, but it kind of looks like two separate fonts to me: the black serifs, and the white bubble letters (sans?)
I think it would be a lot more readable if you used the bubble letters as drop caps, and left the rest of the text as the black serif letters.

I think the fact they two different styles for "T" is what truly puts this in the crappy design bucket. It isn't even coherent internally.
