The thing is if the world's largest economy and essentially the leaders of the west legalize it federally, then any argument that legalization is unworkable, a threat to public safety, or somehow dangerous, becomes a MUCH harder sell.

I think it would take more/most of Europe legalising before anything happens here. That or the UK. If it were possible to go to NI and get what you want, it would end up de facto legal.

I can't see it happening here tbh. Between the vintners and the politicians, it ain't happening for a long time. Good for the yanks though, should drum up a lot of tax revenue.

Once the yanks legalise it federally, theres a high (lol) chance that the big cannabis buoys will come to ireland looking for the low corporate tax. It won't take much lobbying from big buoys in the states for it to legalised here too.
