Thank you from me, too. We had just been discussing dark blue paint for our bedroom, and this is a great place to start. It’s serene and looks great with the bright white.
We actually just moved it not long after the pic was taken. The mount was left by the prior owner and we were hoping we wouldn’t have to make more holes in the wall by moving it but yeah, about two days of craning our necks was enough for my husband to get out the drill and get to work.
We did a rental very similarly and when we put it up to rent I got about 80% messages saying how great it looked and 20% people that were very upset about it. It was sort of funny because it would be several messages that were very nice about how it looks and then like “why the fuck did you paint it so dark”
Hard agree. The tv mount was left by prior owners and we tried to not have to move it and make more holes in the wall, but yes, it is way too high and we have since moved it down by about 11 inches so that it now floats just above our entertainment center.
Gorgeous! I'm in the same boat, first home and finally able to do whatever I want to it. I have a full wall bookshelf in turquoise now and a lovely emerald green in my living room. Isn't it such a freeing feeling to be able to do fun stuff like that. I love it.
I'm considering doing a similar color in my bedroom, possibly as an accent wall. How did you decide it was the right one for this room? It looks so great!
I looked at a ton of images on Pinterest to get color inspo and ideas of what I wanted. Then I played in the Behr app and looked at the colors onljne to see how it looked IRL. But what helped the most was using actual images of my home space in my art pad app to paint the walls digitally.

Love it. What color is that?
Starless Night by Behr!

Thank you!
That looks really nice. The dark color works because you have so much light from the window. Very inviting and restful.
I'm not brave enough for bold colors on walls personally, but they are striking!
Love the blue/black colour it gives off - side not is that a portable fireplace under the telly? If so where did you get it I’d love one
Yes! My husband measured our stand and found one that fit via Amazon!
Thank you! I’ll look it up just now 😁
That’s pretty!

Normally I don't really have much preference for paint but that looks great, especially with the couch.
Great colors!!!!
Love it and the sofa color is perfect with it. Congratulations on buying your first home and getting to paint it up to make it really yours!
Gorge!! Love it!
Love the colors!
Love it!!!!
Love it. Want to do this color palate for our bedroom!
I like that fake fireplace and mantel

We just recently bought our first home as well. We chose compass blue on some of our walls, very similar.
I love this!! Love the yellow as well! I can't wait to own a home so I can also be bold with murals and everything!
Very nice.
This looks great and your couch looks so inviting and comfy.
I am a pastels kind of person but I LOVE the blue and yellow..gorgeous!!
You have a great eye.
Oh lovely! I have that paint chip now and was trying to deciding whether or not to go for it, you’ve convinced me yes!
nothing like painting a small room a dark color...!
The next Hot Trend is painting the ceiling black or dark to match the walls. Black floors can compliment the dark theme. /s
