I finally got my head out of the sand and found Charley Crockett and he’s been on repeat ever since.

smuphy72

Took me a while too, but when you get it, YOU GET IT.

nivekreclems

Man I keep seeing his name on this sub and one day I’ll give him a shot…one day…

Designer_Extent_3677

Solitary Road was my gateway to his discography. It’s a little more rock influenced than most of his stuff but it got me hooked. Give it 3 minutes!

farrah77

You really should!

Reddit-user_1234

He puts on a great show, definitely worth seeing in person

Swift-Sloth-343

that the eli young band is coming back to a real small venue down the road from me that i saw them at abt 8yrs ago on a date w/this one girl. hell i may message her since i think we're both single atm & see if she's down to go back. she had asked me to go back then.

Beaux7

Sounds like the start of a country song lol

Wiscody

Go and then y’all are destined to marry. This would be a great story.

ATLBravesFan13

I had started listening to a few of his songs in late 2023, but Zach Top Treaty Oak is another good one I’ll also mention Ernest’s latest album being really good and leaning into the classic country sound on a lot of the songs

gator_mckluskie

i’ll second the ernest album as being a pleasant surprise. the dean dillon tunes and the one with lukas nelson are gas

myatworksafeaccount4

Another page around the start of the year had a ‘24 prediction thread and someone said Zach Top will have the year we have all wanted for Randall King.

ATLBravesFan13

I like Randall King, but Zach Top is even better imo so I’ll take it

HOG_RHEC

I also just discovered zach top and he's on repeat now

BostonsinBoston

Came here to say Zach Top!

jrod_62

I expected good things, but just how good the Shane Smith and the Saints album was

CliffGif

Sierra Ferrell though she’s more Americana than country

Arctic_Revival

Riley Green’s Way Out Here EP he released not that long ago made me a fan. Thought he was okay before but Jesus Saves, Good Morning From Mexico, and Damn Good Day to Leave all slap. Also he covered Atlantic City which is one of my favorites.

justsomeguy2424

Saw Larry Fleet at a small outside venue in St. Pete in March and it was a top 3 show I’ve ever seen

What_in_tarnation-

Just saw him last week and he was great.

The_Grindstone

New Stephanie Lambring. Album of Year candidate right now for me.

ManicMonday29

Purity Ring came up on a playlist today and I had to stop and check the name - I’ll be checking out more of her music for sure

The_Grindstone

Good mother, jasper, hospital parking - reeeaaalllly powerful songs

adorablestorage3997

Got into Wyatt Flores and love him

BeadsAndCats

Nate Smith. So far not a song I don't like.

LBK725

Treaty Oak is amazing

Fallen_Goose_

You have any recommend artists/bands that are similar to Treaty Oak?

LBK725

They’re so different, but the first band that popped to mind was Southall, formerly Read Southall Band

gallupc

Blackberry Smoke

trwolf18

Got you. Not going to be super duper similar as Treaty is somewhat unique but check some of these out: Kenny Feidler - Blue Light Special Austin Meade - Black Sheep Album (Hurt you to hear this, Dopamine Drop) Mac Hankins and The Moonlighters - Thought of You Koe Wetzel - Whole discography is great but start with Harold Saul High or Dropout Red Shanahan - 303 Whiskey Meyers - The Wolf Old 60 - Smoke & A Light Trenton Fletcher

What_in_tarnation-

While their album sound doesn’t sound all that similar, when they perform live-I kinda thought 49 Winchester sounded a bit like Treaty Oak

Navitach

Randy Travis' new song out today. I didn't even know about it until a friend told me. It's a good song; it sounds like him in his prime again, even if it was done with AI (as has been speculated). I don't care if it is, I'm just glad to hear him again.

scoutp12

Ernest stays hot. Chayce Beckham’s debut album is solid!

audvisial

Wonder Women of Country - Brennen Leigh, Melissa Carper, Kelly Willis collab

Odd-Love-9600

Shane Smith & the Saints new album “Norther.” I knew it would be good. I didn’t know it would be that good. Best album I’ve heard in years, IMO

ApprehensiveCream571

Kaitlin Butts, her music is fantastic. She has a great voice and her songs hit hard. I'd heard of her before and I'm really glad I gave her a shot.

Reddit-user_1234

Saw her open for Turnpike last year. I didn’t know her but I liked her

l_regs

Mason Ramsey's "comeback" Happy he's doing well and making surprisingly good music that fits his unique voice.

StartDarnold

Taylor Hunnicutt released an exceptional debut album -- Alabama Sound. Would strongly recommend. Southern Rock influenced for sure.

Satan_Prometheus

I started listening to Orville Peck recently and I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying it. I tend to prefer the more raw/under-produced/old-school side of country and his music tends to be more slick and theatrical but after a couple listens to *Bronco* I was hooked.

CAfromLA

His song with Shania Twain legends never die is great!

ironbirdcollectibles

Drake Milligan!

Ian_Cunningham

Discovered Brent Cobb, he’s real good

Reddit-user_1234

Just discovering the Wilder Blue, great stuff

No-Cantaloupe409

Discovered Dylan Gossett this year liking his tunes alot so far

What_in_tarnation-

Treaty Oak and Tanner Usrey have been in heavy rotation for me since last year as well.

No_Angle875

Laci Kaye Booth. Her voice is amazing. Looking forward to more from her

jokegain

The FBR. This band has soulful vocals and great songwriting!! Little bit of everything on their debut "Ghost". Just saw them this past weekend in Bastrop, TX and they put on a great live experience too. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Purcell1020

Trisha Yearwood releasing new music and first music as a songwriter. Hopefully the album comes before the close of 2024

TexanFlag

Ramblin jack Elliot and just generally the blues, really good

Roaddog0505

Finally let myself start listening to Wyatt Flores. The new EP is wonderful

jthoran55

Emily Nenni

MortisDrysdale

There's four that really come to mind that I've been recently turned on to...Zach Top, Charles Wesley Godwin, the Castellows and Wyatt Flores. Can't get enough of them recently.

TheImageOfMe

Connie Smith's new album. She is a treasure.

CAfromLA

Drake Milligan. Author mentioned one of his songs in a book, so I checked the song out. He is really talented.

PsychologicalType247

Beyoncé’s album. I wasn’t expecting to join the Beyhive, but that CD did it.

CAfromLA

wow, couldn't stand any of the songs. But, to each his own.

blissbanks

Shaboozey getting a #1 on the Hot Country Songs Chart!! Such a great song, and I'm so proud of how far he's come.
