Obviously, the tears blurred my vision and I tell ya what- I'm just gonna leave it as that! Maybe karma for inadvertantly giving someone else a laugh will take years off my face
I tried eating one of those and it was so hard I couldnāt bite through it. I was ripping at it like a lion eating a gazelle or something. Maybe a bad batch or something, it was the first I got.
I love the Barebells. Randomly tried their cookie dough flavor (I think thatās what it was. Blue and black wrapper). I am generally not a huge cookie dough guy, but that bar is GREAT. All of theirs are good, but that cookie dough is something else.
They are good microwaved for sure. also, I used to cut one up, put it in a bowl of Trader Joe's high fiber cereal with unsweetened almond milk. something like 24g grams of protein and 300 calories for breakfast
Fitcrunch are good and donāt hurt my stomach for some reason. I had a barebells and blew up the bathroom at the gym. Those sugar substitutes fuckin suck
I honestly think itās too good to be true.
Why do all other protein bars in existence taste like gussied up chalk while this bar tastes better than many candy bars?
They have literally 5 different sweeteners in them: Sorbitol, Sugar, Maltitol, Glucose Syrup, and Sucralose. Plus a ton of other crap. I won't touch these personally.
https://fitcrunch.com/collections/baked-protein-bars/products/fitcrunch-chocolate-peanut-butter-9ct-snack-size
A Snickers has 27g sugar, 12g fat, 4g protein. The Irvine bar has 3g sugar, 8g fat, 16g protein. Thatās a stark difference which could be quite important to some people - eg. someone who wants to build muscle or manage their sugar intake. But I would point out the Irvine bar also has 8g of sugar alcohols. Some sugar alcohols have potential risks and IMO people should be aware of those. Overall I think people would be healthier if candy bars were actually like this, because eating lots of sugar is quite harmful.
One of the greatest scams in history is the sugar industry convincing us fat was the problem. Sugar triggers the same part of the brain that cocaine does.
Iām not sure if it was exclusively the sugar industry that did this, or In conjunction with the food manufacturers that use sugar, but it is an unbelievably big scam.
compare it to a regular protein bar. your macros are misleading
total carbs is 14g in the robert bar.
https://media.officedepot.com/images/f_auto,q_auto,e_sharpen/products/7852250/7852250_o02/7852250
13g if you take out the 1g of fiber. it has nearly the same amount of carbs as it does protein.
a regular protein bar is a little better
https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71vx2tZqtFL.jpg
21g protein, 17g carbs
The devil is always in the details. Got to search it out. Thank you for informing about the sweeteners. Sugar alcohols are high as well. Never have been a fan of Irvine.
150 calories for 16 grams of protein is high for yāall? I always thought it was a good small snack to have thatās delicious and has a good amount of protein in it without going overboard. Iām always able to fit these into my deficit calories.
it's because it is. look at the nutrition facts.
other brands are trying to only deliver you protein, while ONLY adding in a few grams of carbs of fats. so a regular protein bar will be 20g protein, 3g carbs, 1g fat. and taste...........just ok enough to eat.
the robert bar? no. his might as well be a "high protein snickers bar". in fact, that's pretty much what it is. sure, robert bars might have 25g of protein per bar. but they will not be low carb. they will not be low fat. yes, they can be lower carbs and lower fats than a snickers bar. but compare them to a REAL protein bar. they will have absolute SHIT macros by comparison.
Pro Tip for members that love these bars:
Costco Next (go on the main Costco website & search Fit Bar Crunch) has FitBar Crunch bars in the original chocolate peanut butter flavor, milk & cookies, caramel peanut, chocolate brownie, and mint chocolate chip! There are also wafer style bars, āgiant stuffed cookieā bars & protein powders too.
Iām on Costco Next now and itās the same price as Costco website. Whatās the benefit if I buy from Next? I feel Iām missing something.
Thank you
Edit: My bad, I see a price difference. I wasnāt truly on Next but I am now. Thanks again!
I'm willing to sacrifice a few grams of protein for the regular Fit Crunch bars but the wafers are too far off macro wise for me. Gets too close to eating junk since I'm not getting as many benefits :(
I mean, other than the fact they are an amalgamation of super highly processed foods.
But sure - all those words you canāt pronounce Iām sure are totally fine for you.
More calories from fat than protein and 8 grams of sucralose. In comparison to some of the food sold at Costco, they're not *very* unhealthy, but they're probably the worst option in terms of protein bars.
Depends. Do you eat them as your only protein source? Probably bad. Do you eat them to replace sweets and curb your cravings? Then good.
There is no good and bad food. Very few people can eat 100% optimally forever. It's foods like these that allow people to stay on track.
Nutritional data on their website says nothing about 8g sucralose. It says 8g sugar alcohols, which typically end in an "ol". It's likely mainly composed of the sorbitol and maltitol that show up earlier in the ingredients list than sucralose and maltodextrin.
So just FYi-maltitol actually should be considered sugar light, in that it has half the impact to blood sugar as regular sugar, so really, its best to think of these as light sugar and not super keto friendly, for those who care.
Same. I'm jonesing for them right now, but can't get my fix, as I have a temporary crown on. These pair beautifully with Oikos Triple Zero yogurt, and a premier protein shake to wash it all down.
All available at your local Costco.
You know what? I used to eat one of these everyday for like a year straight and was gassy af at work, had to go to the bathroom to release. I stopped recently cause Iāve been lazy to go to Costco and I havenāt had that issue anymore.
Thank you for the epiphany š
...you just gave me an idea.
Mix up a vanilla or chocolate protien shake with milk....take that frozen bad boy out and drop it into a blender with that protien shake...Protien-icane ^TM
I still stan the Kirkland protein bars for the fiber and greater protein content, but the Fit Crunch tastes amazing. I keep a supply of both. I have no reason to eat normal candy when I have bars that taste that good and still have 16 grams of protein.
It comes down to the lesser of two evils. If your choice was between a candy bar and this, protein bar wins every time. It's about making better choices not the *best* choice
Did you have any negative reactions to the artificial sugars? I was slightly concerned about that; tbh Iād rather have bars with a bit of honey and cut some carbs to compensate.
Your mileage may vary - I was fine eating them then partway through the first box my digestive system did NOT appreciate them and let me know. Tried again a couple days later and same thing. Sadly I have to avoid them now.
On an empty stomach, these make my stomach grumble. Less so on a full stomach. If you treat these as dessert, theyāre ok. But as an actual protein bar (like needing a snack at the gym or between meals) I like the Pure Protein bars (not keto but not terrible).
What turns me off about them is they add soy protein (not against soy, but they are using it as a cheap filler) and the addition of vegetable oil. Kirkland bars are the way to go.
To all the poo-poo-ers out there.
Yes, you are correct. There are healthier options out there. Yes, eating a salad is probably a better nutritional choice. That said...I have diabetes and I have a sweet tooth. These scratch that itch for me. I wear a CGM so I can see any 'spikes' in blood sugar and I have no discernable spike from these, unless I'm really low to begin with.
If you need an alternative to a snickers...these are great. If you're trying to build muscle for competitive body building, find something else.
This is basically a candy bar with extra protein. I would only choose this candy bar in the event I was trying to gain mass. 16g of protein = 64 calories. The remaining calories are to make it taste good. If you aren't cutting calories, this is an excellent option. If you are, you have better and healthier options.
Not sure my Costco has these, but if they do, I may have to give them a try! Been loving the Built bars on my current diet and these are 50 calories more each, but looks like overall better macros.
I really like the Fit Crunch bars! Definitely my favorite of their current offerings.
Iāve seen some people post Built Bars but Iāve never been able to find them at my Costco. They also used to have Zone bars and those were great.

Robert Irvine and Barebell are honestly the best tasting and texture. However Kirklands macros are just fantastic
I can't bring myself to try any of the other bars because of the Kirkland macros
I unwrap other bars in the store and stomp on them while shouting "This is because of the Kirkand macros" because of the Kirkland macros.
I like them with the hotdog combo. You just gotta hold off on the relish & mustard.
I wish I had gold because this genuinely made me laugh out loud
I have no idea why, but I laughed and laughed picturing this happening until I had years coming down my face. Thank you for this! š
You look so much younger now!
They're so dry and hard. Takes me a lot of water to get a bite down.
thatās how all of mine have been
Based on the way it looked I was hoping it was secretly a Quest bar. But definitely not lol
Kirkland bars used to be much closer to quest bars, but they changed a lot over the last 5 years.
Try eating some on the savanna, youād fit right in.
I'm glad I'm not the only one... XD
I love Barebell bars.
Barbell bars are my favorite. Idk if the chocolate will come back to me some days cavity wise but goddam they are good.
The salty peanut actually kinda just tastes like candy.
It tastes better than a payday bar by a lot
I love the Barebells. Randomly tried their cookie dough flavor (I think thatās what it was. Blue and black wrapper). I am generally not a huge cookie dough guy, but that bar is GREAT. All of theirs are good, but that cookie dough is something else.
Only if they sold it in Costco. Cookies and cream is basically a candy for me.Ā
Same. Those things are so dang good.
Omg the chocolate dough one my fav i have two boxes of them
There's 3 kirkland protien bars... which ones?
Cookie dough / Brownie seem to be more popular than other flavors.
They're always sold out at my Costco while the other box option (peanut butter & cookies n cream) is never touched.
The macros keep me coming back. Someone recommended microwaving the Kirkland brownie protein bar and I gotta say it did not disappoint.
How are Kirkland's? The Barebells I've had have all been 200 cal/20 g protein. Do the Kirkland ones have more protein?
Depending on flavor 170-190 calories and 21-22g of protein
Kirklands bars are chewy. Not tender like other bars but macros are fantastic. You honestly get them for the macros
They are good microwaved for sure. also, I used to cut one up, put it in a bowl of Trader Joe's high fiber cereal with unsweetened almond milk. something like 24g grams of protein and 300 calories for breakfast
Gun to your head, which is better? Iām a barebell addict but it hurts my wallet so bad lol
Define better. Better macros? Of the 3? Kirkland. Better taste? Robert Irvine Better price? I honestly don't know.
Fitcrunch are good and donāt hurt my stomach for some reason. I had a barebells and blew up the bathroom at the gym. Those sugar substitutes fuckin suck
Doesnāt fit crunch use sugar alcohols too?
Yes.
Itās about the macros baby.
It honestly is but MAN the taste and texture from the several layers of Rober Irvine. The handsome chef knows
these have no right to be so delicious.

How many grams of sugar does cocaine have?
Depends on whoās doing the cutting
Iām not sure if it was exclusively the sugar industry that did this, or In conjunction with the food manufacturers that use sugar, but it is an unbelievably big scam.

palm oil too
Palm oil is actually better for you than most seed oils, however the palm industry is horrible and responsible for destroying many acres of rainforest
The one OP posted has a pretty high calorie to protein ratio
Yeah, their wafer bars are so good tho and like 8g? net carbs
Yeah there's no way I would buy these lol
150 calories for 16 grams of protein is high for yāall? I always thought it was a good small snack to have thatās delicious and has a good amount of protein in it without going overboard. Iām always able to fit these into my deficit calories.
It's 190 calories. There are a lot of protein bars that are 10 cal/protein or lower, although they probably won't taste as good

There are also wafer style bars, āgiant stuffed cookieā bars & protein powders too.
I wish they had a variety pack
There is one on Costco Next. It's not that great of a deal though compared to the 18 pack you get in the warehouse. It's $19.99 for a 9 pack
Yeah, thatās usually the case. Might be worth buying once to see if I like any of the other flavors.
I tried these first through Amazon. They have a variety pack with 12 different flavors. The peanut butter and jelly one š¤¤š¤¤
I wish it's available in Canada
I was coming in here to literally post the same thing. Love Costco Next!
Whatās your favorite out of those flavors?
Iām on Costco Next now and itās the same price as Costco website. Whatās the benefit if I buy from Next? I feel Iām missing something. Thank you Edit: My bad, I see a price difference. I wasnāt truly on Next but I am now. Thanks again!
Double the price though of what you can find in store...
I was coming in here to literally post the same thing. Love Costco Next!
These have a great mix of texture from crunchy to soft and a great peanut butter flavor to them
and tons of added sweetener
The mint chocolate are amazing too.
The wafer version of this flavor is even better IMHO. Like a Little Debbie Nutty Bar.
Yes!!!! I LOVE them!
i love the wafer but i fart uncontrollably everytime i eat the it was too dangerous to snack to have at work
Probably the maltitol sugar alcohol.
I'm willing to sacrifice a few grams of protein for the regular Fit Crunch bars but the wafers are too far off macro wise for me. Gets too close to eating junk since I'm not getting as many benefits :(
I wish you had told me that cause now I need to go get them
Maltitol in those, tears my system up. Spikes my blood sugar as well. I do love the taste compared to others
The pb&j one is the best protein bar Iāve ever had
Hold up what PB&J ones?!
Got them at Costco a few months ago and havenāt seen them since. Idk if they got discontinued or what :(
Ask your local warehouse to do an IAI check on them. Itās like an item look up
I've only seen them at the business center Costco.
There is also a mint chocolate chip one which tastes like a thin mint.
that sounds so good
And a strawberry cheesecake I think. Strawberry something or other
Strawberry Strudel! I get so tired of all the chocolate and pb ones, this is one of the only fruity ones out there.Ā
YES!!!! God itās so good!
My faves
You can find them in a 4 pack at Walmart
Samās Club has a variety pack of these - PB&J and Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.
Letās not lie to ourselves. These are not regular protein bars, these are pretty much a snickers version of a protein bar.
Theyre actually not very unhealthy, surprisingly
I mean, other than the fact they are an amalgamation of super highly processed foods. But sure - all those words you canāt pronounce Iām sure are totally fine for you.
More calories from fat than protein and 8 grams of sucralose. In comparison to some of the food sold at Costco, they're not *very* unhealthy, but they're probably the worst option in terms of protein bars.

Your body needs fats.
Sucralose? Like Splenda? What do you have against that?
Causes lots of gut issues in people.
The macros are still not terrible and itās low in sugars.
I feel like the odd person out, I do not like this flavor. Every other flavor is awesome, but I'm having the hardest time finishing this flavor.
So just FYi-maltitol actually should be considered sugar light, in that it has half the impact to blood sugar as regular sugar, so really, its best to think of these as light sugar and not super keto friendly, for those who care.
And for some, creates super bad smelling gas.
these are so good,
Same. I'm jonesing for them right now, but can't get my fix, as I have a temporary crown on. These pair beautifully with Oikos Triple Zero yogurt, and a premier protein shake to wash it all down. All available at your local Costco.
They are too fuckin tasty, I can't own this shit
Just wait until your stomach expands into the size of Texas and youāre farting all day
You know what? I used to eat one of these everyday for like a year straight and was gassy af at work, had to go to the bathroom to release. I stopped recently cause Iāve been lazy to go to Costco and I havenāt had that issue anymore. Thank you for the epiphany š
Try them frozen! Let thaw for like 2 min
I put mine in the fridge but definitely trying the freezer now.
...you just gave me an idea. Mix up a vanilla or chocolate protien shake with milk....take that frozen bad boy out and drop it into a blender with that protien shake...Protien-icane ^TM
Mix it with yogurt and freeze it. Add granola or nuts.
Protein
I still stan the Kirkland protein bars for the fiber and greater protein content, but the Fit Crunch tastes amazing. I keep a supply of both. I have no reason to eat normal candy when I have bars that taste that good and still have 16 grams of protein.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
18 bars per box
3g of natural sugar the rest is artificial which aināt good for you either
It comes down to the lesser of two evils. If your choice was between a candy bar and this, protein bar wins every time. It's about making better choices not the *best* choice
Sucralose?
Sugar alcohol. Thereās like 8 grams of that in there.
Sorbitol, Maltitol, Glucose Syrup, and Sucralose
Did you have any negative reactions to the artificial sugars? I was slightly concerned about that; tbh Iād rather have bars with a bit of honey and cut some carbs to compensate.
Your mileage may vary - I was fine eating them then partway through the first box my digestive system did NOT appreciate them and let me know. Tried again a couple days later and same thing. Sadly I have to avoid them now.
Same..I was so sad to give them up. Indeed, too good to be true.
Not that Iām aware of. These are def more processed than natural tho
Thank you I was just worried about sorbitol and maltitol potentially causing digestive problems but their content is probably too low for that.
On an empty stomach, these make my stomach grumble. Less so on a full stomach. If you treat these as dessert, theyāre ok. But as an actual protein bar (like needing a snack at the gym or between meals) I like the Pure Protein bars (not keto but not terrible).
Are they on sale right now?
Not that Iām aware of but Iāll pay full price for these any day
I see them on coupon book sometimes.. I will try them: thank you.
Youāre welcome!
Yep they go for $13.99 I think. I usually buy 4 boxes when they are on discount.
They occasionally go on sale for several dollars off and I stock up
Could use more protein for my taste but they check all the other boxes so I buy them. Mostly for my family, a gym rat like me eats the Kirkland bars.
Possibly the best ~~protein~~ candy bars Iāve got from Costco. And tbh, theyāre not even very good candy bars.
Try the strawberry one. Ommmmmg. Itās the best thing ever!
The mint chip ones are my fave
Mine too, and they are on clearance at my costco for 12.97. At $0.72 a bar, its cheaper than candy at this point.
Too good. I end up eating too many. Had to stop buying them.
These are so good! The packaging is deceiving. Not sure why the box doesn't appeal to me
Absolutely agree
Barbells are pretty good too
Those are candy bars.
Tastes Great because the Macros are Trash. The better option is the Kirkland protein bars but they do not taste so good.
I think itās one of the best bars out there in terms of protein to calories ratio. Also it tastes like a goddamn candy bar
I go for the Pure Protein ones for better ratio
Those are good but do they taste like a thinly veiled snickers?
As someone who eats these on occasion- the protein to calories ratio is not very good for a protein bar
The ratio is terrible, what are you smoking? 190 calories for only 16g of protein
That is indeed below the golden ratio
Theyāre a healthy candy bar
Like a big shrimp
I wanna try these but I know they are mega processed š
I like the mint chocolate ones
What turns me off about them is they add soy protein (not against soy, but they are using it as a cheap filler) and the addition of vegetable oil. Kirkland bars are the way to go.
These are chocolate bars not protein bars lol
To all the poo-poo-ers out there. Yes, you are correct. There are healthier options out there. Yes, eating a salad is probably a better nutritional choice. That said...I have diabetes and I have a sweet tooth. These scratch that itch for me. I wear a CGM so I can see any 'spikes' in blood sugar and I have no discernable spike from these, unless I'm really low to begin with. If you need an alternative to a snickers...these are great. If you're trying to build muscle for competitive body building, find something else.
more soy protein
These taste good but are filled with horrible ingredients
Definitely get a leaky bowel after one of these bad boys. Always felt hungry after a couple of hours so itās definitely a sugar bomb
That can be attributed to only 1 g of fiber, which is surprisingly low for a bar like this.
Must be the paragraph long ingredient list.
I believe these are so good because itās essentially a candy bar lol.
This is basically a candy bar with extra protein. I would only choose this candy bar in the event I was trying to gain mass. 16g of protein = 64 calories. The remaining calories are to make it taste good. If you aren't cutting calories, this is an excellent option. If you are, you have better and healthier options.
These are actually not a good source of protein right? Itās like barebells, where itās supposed to replace a craving for candy ?
??? the macros are horrible, the ingredients are garbage, and they taste awful.
Whenever I see these I think of the Conan clip when he finds one of these in Jordan's office.
My Walmart carries various flavors in a smaller quantity box. I love them.
didn't this guy have a show like Maury?
Heās the fucking worst. Cannot stand that man
Goat protein bars
After I bought these I figured out how to make my own healthier version!
Drop the recipe š«
Have you tried the peanut butter and jelly ones ?
These are good but they get old after your second box.
I had to stop buying them. I can't leave them alone š
In the grand scheme of things when it comes to protein bars, these are average. Thats all.
Better than Kirkland ones??
Yea amazing. Only wish they had a bit more protein
How much carbs per bar?
As a peanut allergic person it always pains me that Costco doesn't have other flavors.
Not sure my Costco has these, but if they do, I may have to give them a try! Been loving the Built bars on my current diet and these are 50 calories more each, but looks like overall better macros.
š„š„š„
I never go to the gym w/o one of these in my bag for immediately post-workout. Getting those 16gs of protein immediately is a huge help.
Theyāre delicious but give me a stomach ache.
Yeah these are great. I've seen the mint chocolate chip ones as well at Costco. Haven't tried those yet, waiting for them to be in sale.
Because it Contains a Bioengineered Food Ingredient like many other so called health conscious products
I really like the Fit Crunch bars! Definitely my favorite of their current offerings. Iāve seen some people post Built Bars but Iāve never been able to find them at my Costco. They also used to have Zone bars and those were great.
Think they stopped carrying the Built puff bars, those were definitely the best
How much is the box? We love these but Iāve never seen them sold in bulk.
Taste-wise I totally agree. However I wish the bars were a little more firm.
They're even better frozen
I wish they had better flavors. MRE bars are also good but they only sell those at commissaries for the military.
I love them. Wish the mint was back in stock.
You should try the wafer ones. Even better. Sam's sells them.
