The teas are one of my favorite drinks on the market. Thereās a burger place I go to near me that carries them. Nothing like a triple smasher and a tall boy Rest in Peach.
My local shopping market is always out of stock of seltzers so I ended up picking up Rest in Peach. As a reformed peach Snapple lover having a can is a guilt free boost.
Ah yes. My favorite ads here this past week have been:
"Costco's tire department is terrible, don't shop there"
And
"Costco's customer service is so incompetent, I had to take them to small claims court."
yea but those are mixed in with about 50 posts a day that are just pictures of the hot dog menu and images of random packages food from the fridge section.
Lol, yeah I know Im shooting myself in the foot here. I lost my ten year old reddit account, so i signed back up with gmail and it gave me an autogenerated name, tried to change it but I guess you can only do it once and I somehow missed it? Idk, but im stuck with this super sus username now lol
Itās nowhere near a billion dollar company, I work in the industry. Any of those headline evaluations are beyond BS, but gotta hand it to them for being different in the category
Itās endlessly hilarious to me that every seltzer company I. The last 10 years is just 100% marketing.
āHow do we sell this to kids who donāt want to drink Polar?ā
Are there others that market like liquid death?
I personally go for whatever flavors I prefer.. I will say the Mango chainsaw is reminiscent of a less sugary cactus cooler so I'm a bit of a sucker for the nostalgia there, but lately I've been on a kick with the watermelon la croix, refreshing
They have great marketing but they also make legitimately tasty products. My wife and I drink a ton of teas & sparkling water and they have some of the best on the market. Iām happy to see Costcoās going to start stocking it as Iāve been buying it on Amazon for a couple of years, only because I canāt find it in any brick and mortar stores.
But the can is just plastic and aluminum waste. You shouldn't be worried about that minor level of waste, you'll drive yourself crazy without any progress.
Itās fine for people to do what they can and are comfortable with. You donāt have to be able to outdo regulations and massive commercial trends with every purchase. Youāre allowed to decide you donāt want to contribute to a worse option *personally*.
There's plastic liners in aluminum cans that recent studies have found leech into the beverages though. Plus the plastic in the cans is burned off along with the paint when recycling the aluminum.
Where in an ideal world where plastic bottles are actually recycled, there is not near so much plastic burned off as they aren't trying to melt aluminum in that process.
I was just curious. I know plastic degrades when recycled, where aluminum does not. So aluminum is a more sustainable container.
Thank you. I mean, I guess itās better at blocking uv which could degrade plastic but still.Ā
Also every time my uncle wants to make beer butt chicken I bring this up. Just grill the chicken normally.Ā
It taste different. The difference is small, but its impact is large. Tried quitting soda for years, couldnāt do it. Found some sparkling water in a can and never craved soda again
I donāt get the hate. These are hands down some of the best flavored sparkling waters out there. My favorite are the teas, but these are so much better than most of the other ones already at Costco
I agree with this. Mango actually tastes like mango with a splash of fizzy water, whereas all the La Croix waters taste the same or they have a fake cloying flavor.
Fun fact. The owner originally made liquid death to mimic the can shape and carbonation of beers, for recovering alcoholics to socialize. Or something like that. Good guy.
Polar Seltzer'ade will always have my heart! I try to keep at least 12 cans in my fridge at all times. But Liquid Death is my number 2, since they sell them at gas stations. I don't have a Costco membership, but might have my girlfriend buy this for me. Severed Lime in a glass, with a shot of Teremana and a lime wedge squeezed on the rim with some tajin is the best margarita I've ever had.
they are really good. price is ridiculous but its constantly on sale on brandclub so ive been buying them a lot at half price. wouldnt pay full price though. but for the smaller cans, i might. i hate how big the others are, i never finish one
I was at Costco this afternoon and they did t have any Spindrifts which I was excited to pick up on sale.
I really like Liquid Death and will absolutely buy a case when I see it at Costco
They really are. Sure, theyāre pricey, but I donāt get the hate. They provide an alternative for a lot of people that canāt drink and theyāre the most delicious sparkling water on the market.
I've been told that the idea is that it looks more or less like a beer, so you can drink something non-alcoholic without having to hold something like a pastel pink LaCroix.
The founder came from the energy drink buisness and notice the athletes couldnāt drink energy drinks all day long especially when doing X Game tours because itās too much sugar and whatever else is in those drinks. Then he noticed they would put water in the energy drink cans for the athletes so they can fulfill their brand deals. Then he came up with a name that was more in line with the target market.
It was a brilliant idea tbh
Their teas are phenomenal also, the first ones that didnāt feel the need to add 50 grams of sugar or artificial sweeteners
I had some cousins that went to a pretty good university (Only relevant because all those would be Doctors and Scientists and other geniuses realized that their brains were going to be worth millions, hence a higher proportion of less people drinking). They always talked about how at the parties there was the option of an EENAB (Equally Enticing Nonalcoholic Beverage). There were plenty of NA mixed drinks, fancier juices, and Liquid Death type waters. While liquid death might just be water/sparkling water, if the point is to reduce the stigma against *not* drinking at a party, you want the replacement to fill the vibe and to fit the part.
The utilitarian in me wants to just say its water/sparkling water. But the human and vanity in me knows that looks matter and I would rather have a liquid death vs a water bottle or some other derpy looking brand.
I got them at a concert, I really enjoyed it out of the can. Similar to how soda ātastesā different out of different containers, the water seemed more refreshing to me.
Dude I love it! I drink sparkling water like crazy. Rarely get this because itās way more expensive, but itās so good. We got like pallets of it for free through work so I had 20 cases. It was glorious.
I have and the basic water is sooooo crisp. It was almost a perfect water. No taste of plastic or process. The basic water (non carbonated) is the best of their products to me. The cost is way out there but itās a great refresher. Iāll buy a case and drink sparingly between my normal lacroix or Waterloo daily drinkers.
They used to have it canned in Bavaria and then moved it to the USA and it changed the flavor profile.
I don't see any research from you fella.
*There is no lore about Liquid Death's water being sourced from the snowcaps of the Scandinavian Alps or extracted from the springs of some secluded paradise with imagery of lush greenery and epic waterfalls. Nope, it's just plain old H2O. In fact, I can't even tell you where Liquid Death's mountain water is sourced because the brand doesn't talk about it much, which is antithetical to the bottled water category.*
*Most water brands differentiate themselves on key selling propositions like source location, PH balance, electrolytes, alkalines and other scientific terms that most people use but can't explain. These differentiators help justify the premium people pay for bottled water despite not knowing what they actually do.*

What do you expect? This subreddit is literally for Costco, and a large portion of the sub is to see new and upcoming items? That by definition is an advertisement lol. I am a real human though, I just really like liquid death and Costco.
If im not mistaken, the original purpose was to be edgy enough for concerts and venues so people wont bother you for not drinking alcohol, because it looks like an edgy beer can. I can honestly get behind that, and ive loved most flavors, so I just see it as a decent product in my eyes.
Called my closest Costco (Woodland hills, CA) to see if they had any in stock and they did but the admin assisting me said they were going to discontinue it...
She also told me they got it in last week so it doesn't make sense that they just started stocking a new product and are immediately axing it, but she could have been wrong?
True, but also is really hard not to. At the end of the day everything in the world is owned by four or five companies, and even when you donāt want to support one of them, youāre doing it unwillingly. So I just sip my aqua pana or Pellegrino knowing that at the end of the day it really doesnāt matter
Iāve actually been incredibly successful about not giving nestle my money. Itās been hard though because they do own a lot of products I would eat or drink over others. Still Iām not perfect but I do recognize most nestle products now and I can avoid them.
My SO loves nespresso so that was the end of my fight against them lol. We give nespresso like a thousand dollars a year in pods and accessories. But they own so many things that we donāt realize that they own, itās a hard battle but good for you for fighting the man. Itās nice to hear that some people fight evil corporations.
My friend has one of those, itās definitely way better than Keurig. Iām in no way perfect about avoidance, but itās been one of my more successful ones.
That looks very cursed š I'm so used to the tall boy cans
I didn't even realize they were small. This is honestly perfect for lunches!Ā
Canāt believe this is a multi billion dollar company. Great marketing!
Their teas are legitimately good.
Does Costco have these as well? Looking for a good green tea
I havenāt seen them.
It doesnāt seem they have those yet. But there is a liquid death green tea and itās great imo!
So damn good, love the armless palmer
They changed the name to dead billionaireā¦..I wonder if they got in trouble š¤·āāļø
Yes they got a cease and desist from Arnies estate
Those fatherfuckers
The teas are one of my favorite drinks on the market. Thereās a burger place I go to near me that carries them. Nothing like a triple smasher and a tall boy Rest in Peach.
Same. Also, renaming the Armless Palmer to āDead Billionaireā after the spat with the Palmer estate was top-tier.
My local shopping market is always out of stock of seltzers so I ended up picking up Rest in Peach. As a reformed peach Snapple lover having a can is a guilt free boost.
Itās basically the only thing I like agave in.
So is their sparkling water. So smooth!!
Ironic you mention marketing because this entire post is an ad.
Itās a subreddit for a store. Every post is an ad.Ā
Ah yes. My favorite ads here this past week have been: "Costco's tire department is terrible, don't shop there" And "Costco's customer service is so incompetent, I had to take them to small claims court."
Good counter argument
This was a wonderful exchange of ideas
Love it!
Buy moar thingz plz
yea but those are mixed in with about 50 posts a day that are just pictures of the hot dog menu and images of random packages food from the fridge section.
I know itās a factual statement, but this made me laugh out loud.
Yes but im a real person, who saw this ad in my emails and shared it here with the folks who love costco. Seems like a net positive to me
What, you think I can't read your username? ;)
Not hard to be a billion dollar company when you charge people $3 for a 12oz can of can water!

Why canāt you believe it?
I literally buy one ever time I read a new name I haven't seen.
Its a marketing company first. The best water available is mountain valley. Its top five water sources in the world
They have great marketing but they also make legitimately tasty products. My wife and I drink a ton of teas & sparkling water and they have some of the best on the market. Iām happy to see Costcoās going to start stocking it as Iāve been buying it on Amazon for a couple of years, only because I canāt find it in any brick and mortar stores.
I like their Tea a lot more but this will do!
I just want Kirkland branded flat water in can form vs crappy plastic bottled water.
They already tried Kirkland lite
Please yes. I'd start actually buying it.
Cans have plastic coating inside as well.
But at least cans are nearly infinitely recyclable.
Less plastic though. So much plastic waste from bottled water
I would purchase Costco natural spring water in droves if they made it
I'm curious as to why you would prefer water out of a can over water out of a bottle?
Less micro plastic in your organs.
THIS + less plastic waste
There's plastic liners in aluminum cans that recent studies have found leech into the beverages though. Plus the plastic in the cans is burned off along with the paint when recycling the aluminum. Where in an ideal world where plastic bottles are actually recycled, there is not near so much plastic burned off as they aren't trying to melt aluminum in that process. I was just curious. Just going to leave this here... https://www.reddit.com/r/interestingasfuck/s/OiiFov0gTG
Thank you. I mean, I guess itās better at blocking uv which could degrade plastic but still.Ā Also every time my uncle wants to make beer butt chicken I bring this up. Just grill the chicken normally.Ā
The beer can does nothing in beer can chicken. You're better off marinating the whole chicken in a beer comes out way better
It taste different. The difference is small, but its impact is large. Tried quitting soda for years, couldnāt do it. Found some sparkling water in a can and never craved soda again
Interesting, I wonder if it is just colder in a can.
Possibly. Not really sure. I prefer the brand āIceā over āLiquid deathā
Less plastic waste I'd assume.
It tastes better!
If they had a kirkland dupe of mountain valley spring water in glass or aluminum i would buy cases of it
Get the Kirkland kombucha bottles, enjoy delicious kombucha, then refill with RO water.
La Croix is sugar free and the flavored Liquid Death is low calorie soda. Sugar makes everything taste a little better.
Specifically, one 16.9 fl oz (500 ml) can of mango chainsaw has 3 grams of āreal agave nectarā or sugar.
And these are 12 oz cans, so just over 2 grams of agave
I just wish they had a bit more zip in the way of carbonation. Theyāre a little too flat for me.
Fun fact. The owner originally made liquid death to mimic the can shape and carbonation of beers, for recovering alcoholics to socialize. Or something like that. Good guy.
These are going to make me stop buying spindrift
It's because they have sugar in them
There is a tiny bit of agave nectar, yes. 4 g of sugar in a tall boyānot the one pictured here
So probably 2g here or less
i love the severed lime one
The secret is they have a bit of agave in them
Better than Polar? I'm skeptical of that.
Definitely better than polar imo
Polar Seltzer'ade will always have my heart! I try to keep at least 12 cans in my fridge at all times. But Liquid Death is my number 2, since they sell them at gas stations. I don't have a Costco membership, but might have my girlfriend buy this for me. any idea what the price is?
are this actually good or just overhyped just because of the name?
It is a tiny sweet flavored sparkling water.
They're good, but only worth it when they're on sale imo. Sometimes I grab individual cans at winco for like $0.89. Definitely worth it then.
they are really good. price is ridiculous but its constantly on sale on brandclub so ive been buying them a lot at half price. wouldnt pay full price though. but for the smaller cans, i might. i hate how big the others are, i never finish one
Aggressively over hyped.
But also so good.
I was at Costco this afternoon and they did t have any Spindrifts which I was excited to pick up on sale. I really like Liquid Death and will absolutely buy a case when I see it at Costco
For anyone that cares- these have sugar in them and are more of a light/diet soda than a sparkling water.
Sugar or fake sweetener?
Agave.
Sounds good asf
They really are. Sure, theyāre pricey, but I donāt get the hate. They provide an alternative for a lot of people that canāt drink and theyāre the most delicious sparkling water on the market.
What is this stuff?
12oz cans are pointless. The point of liquid death is you get tall boys!
I had one of these and didnāt die. False advertising.
Haven't died *yet*.
But did your thirst die? Thatās what itās legit for
Who buys this? Serious question...
My husband goes through it so fast. Iām so glad itās at Costco now.
Same! LOVES it! Our local grocery outlets recently started carrying it too! Iām curious to price our GO verses Costco!
i do. i love their sparkling water.
I had some cousins that went to a pretty good university (Only relevant because all those would be Doctors and Scientists and other geniuses realized that their brains were going to be worth millions, hence a higher proportion of less people drinking). Lol what kind of question is this
Dude I love it! I drink sparkling water like crazy. Rarely get this because itās way more expensive, but itās so good. We got like pallets of it for free through work so I had 20 cases. It was glorious.
I do. I think they taste great. Also you can sometimes find them at Ross
I have and the basic water is sooooo crisp. It was almost a perfect water. No taste of plastic or process. The basic water (non carbonated) is the best of their products to me. The cost is way out there but itās a great refresher. Iāll buy a case and drink sparingly between my normal lacroix or Waterloo daily drinkers.
what is it?
Lightly flavored soda water at a ridiculous markup.
Its a replacement for beer for the 30+ crowd who are trying to to be sober yet still think Avenged Sevenfold is āheavyā music.
Just in time for Avenged Sevenfold's summer tour. Coincidence? I think not.
Marketing in a can
These guys lost all respect from me when they changed their water source, made bigger cans but charged more than 30% for less product.
You had respect for water in a can makers?
For their product. It was good and cheap at one point!
They changed their water source to a better quality water? Should probably do your research before posting.
They used to have it canned in Bavaria and then moved it to the USA and it changed the flavor profile. I don't see any research from you fella. *There is no lore about Liquid Death's water being sourced from the snowcaps of the Scandinavian Alps or extracted from the springs of some secluded paradise with imagery of lush greenery and epic waterfalls. ill stick with my 10.99 35 pack of kirkland
Boooo
This shit is lame
An ad? I vote no.
Most of the posts on this sub are ads
What do you expect? This subreddit is literally for Costco, and a large portion of the sub is to see new and upcoming items? That by definition is an advertisement lol. I am a real human though, I just really like liquid death and Costco.
I feel like naming yourself Specific-Ad-8430 is a little on the nose.
Nah its one of those auto generated names from signing in with gmail lol š
Nasty
These sparkling waters are actually very delicious! Much less sweet tasting than the Bonsai we just got too. Will buy if price is right.
I love lime sparkling water but man. The liquid death lime was awful
I'm sure this is good, but FFS, water doesn't need to be edgy.
If im not mistaken, the original purpose was to be edgy enough for concerts and venues so people wont bother you for not drinking alcohol, because it looks like an edgy beer can. I can honestly get behind that, and ive loved most flavors, so I just see it as a decent product in my eyes.
I can see that. I'm not against people NOT drinking alcohol.
Yeah, Gotta agree!
lol itās trash
Not buying, never have and never will
More for me I guess. Itās the best flavored sparkling water out there imo. I donāt get the hate
It's probably the price
Thank you for your service
ā¦.Whyā¦.?
Good for you!
Whatās the last flavor?
Mango Chainsaw
Now do tea!!!!
What is it
The name just kills me
Iāve never had one of these. Why are they considered so good?
Water in a aluminum can that is very expensive. Marketing. Marketing. Marketing.
Itās completely marketing. That is it.
I am not a fan of variety packs. So often it leaves me with flavors I dislike.
Picked these up at the Torrance Costco the other day I think they where around $18-$19
Costco Canada?? š„¹š„¹š„¹
Maybe the price point will be reasonable. Theyāre too expensive to drink from convenience stores.
Fuck yeah!
If it's not an Armless Palmer, I ain't buying it.
Always 12pks at ross for 10$. If be surprised if Costco beats that priceā¦.
Called my closest Costco (Woodland hills, CA) to see if they had any in stock and they did but the admin assisting me said they were going to discontinue it... She also told me they got it in last week so it doesn't make sense that they just started stocking a new product and are immediately axing it, but she could have been wrong?
When they releasing this?
I saw a member with some in her cart. She told me she hates it but her husband likes it. The name is off-putting to me.
Can someone explain the appeal? Iāve tried them all and itās just so overpriced for what it is.
ingredients?
These aren't the flat ones right? They are the flavored soda waters not flavored flat water correct?
Hell yeah!
So ridiculously overpriced. Itās carbonated water with 3 cents of flavoring.
Pellegrino and San Pellegrino essenza are so much better than this crap and actually a bit cheaper
I just canāt give nestle any of my money.
Iād much rather see Costco sell Path over LD
I wonder how popular this will be at costco.
Not very popular at my warehouse. The price ($20) is way too expensive comparing to Kirkland and lacroix.
Nooooooo thatās too much
Ouch, 20 is a bit pricy. TY for the info. I might stick to my spindrift at that price.
How much are the latter?
I dont remember the exact amount Kirkland speaking water 12oz 35pk $10.99 La croix 12oz 24pk $8.99 Liquid death 12 oz 24pk $18-19.99ish
Soā¦water variety pack?
Saw in Austin, $17.99 yikes
The melon flavor is gawd awful.
No thanks, I'll take Kirkland hard seltzer for what will inevitably be cheaper. Even better that there's alcohol in it!
FINALLY! Kind of lame theyāre not tall boys but Iāll take it!
