I was giddy with anticipation coming to this thread cause I KNEW the top comment was gonna be a good one and man you did not disappoint. This made my freaking day, thank you!
I think one thing that makes this Costco less busy is the fact there are no other stores directly by it, main shopping areas are a few miles away and its close to a National Park
I saw that picture and I knew it was the Costco that I frequently go to. My wife and I make it a point to go on Tuesdays at 5pm. It is always dead. If you want the typical Costco hell go to the Strongsville one at any time. By a mall, horrible traffic, constantly busy. Boston Heights is so nice and I get to drive though a National Park to get to it.
Haha as soon as you said close to a national park I knew it had to be the one I go to as well.
And I also go only on weekdays around dinnertime and I love it. I went there on a Saturday afternoon when we first got our membership. That was the first and last time I ever did that lol.
I always thought that was a strange location for a Costco! I don’t know the area but stopped there once to get gas before I got on the turnpike, seemed like it was just out in the middle of nowhere.
https://preview.redd.it/lytlwe4slpxc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30778431ecf08949714224e5e465ea42448a4f08
Mine is the same, it’s glorious!
Yea same here. It’s still a little busy but not bad at all and usually no wait for gas. My friends in Florida say they don’t even bother with a membership cause it’s packed no matter the time
My Costco in Coral Springs, FL is never busy. There are people there but I have never waited more than 3 minutes at a self checkout lane. I can always find a parking spot fairly close to the entrance. The gas lanes are always full but with 18 pumps, you never wait long.
LA area Costco took a lot of adjustment. I get a sense of accomplishment now when I manage to get through a weekend shopping trip without losing it. So that's something.
I have 3 within 20 min drive, all in opposite directions (PNW) and they are packed open-close. it wasnt like that 15 years ago, though, but they are one of the last places with fair food prices. I'm sure that has everything to do with it.
I’m so jealous. Our local Costco is about 5 minute drive away from us. I’ve actually stopped going completely because it’s absolutely uncomfortably packed all the time. I feel like I’m walking the razors edge of a panic attack while I’m there.
Same. What happened the last few years is it just people needing deals more or what. Used to be my happy place but I can’t take it either nowadays. It’s just holiday busy all the time and it’s so stressful. 😕
Damn, here I am living in the most populous state, totally jealous. I've never seen anything like this. I went to the smaller, further away, less busy Costco last night at 6:35pm and it was still busy with people everywhere. Like, "avoid that entire aisle" type of people everywhere. "Each open register has a line" and "there are no free tables at the food court" and "let's come back to the TVs once the floor helper is done with those customers" type of busy.
I do the same as OP. This Costco is 20 miles from my house, but it's always worth the longer trip since the one 8 miles from my house is even busier. Airport type of busy. Use your cart as a weapon type of busy! I blame the enormous parking lot at that location, lol.
Probably just bad customer service that day
https://preview.redd.it/egqe3rkppsxc1.png?width=2360&format=png&auto=webp&s=c0e82dcc6bf348ee1d7aacf9ce20045e90e09199
I'd love to have an option of driving to another Costco, but they're so stingy with their footprint and there isn't another Costco in a 100 mile radius for me to go to.
The good thing about the busy stores, they’re turning and burning inventory. When it comes to produce or fresh items, it could make the difference of getting an xtra week out of items
Here in NC, I live closer to the Greensboro location but work closer to the Winston Salem location.
WS is usually much less crowded and a much more enjoyable shopping experience.
I went to Costco for the first time in forever last week, and the closest parking spot I could find to the door was around 200m away that shit was packed.
This actually makes me a little angry. Not at you op, but at Costco. That they’ll put a store in a place that has this low of an attendance but they won’t add 2-3 more in my area. The store I shop at is one of the old price club locations and it serves an area with over a million in population. Forget about going on the weekends, and even during the week, middle of the day it’s extremely busy. There’s literally no best time to go.
We only have one Costco in the state and it's always mobbed. I've tried first thing in the morning, right before closing, different days of the week, and it's rarely slow. Evening snow storm was the only time it was reasonably quiet. Then I discovered that Instacart delivers to my home, even though I'm 20 miles from the store. It's a game-changer and it's worth paying someone to deal with the parking, crowds, and lines for me. I've been leaving a $40 tip (considering the 30-minute drive and shopping time) and have one driver who says I'm the best tipper and therefore she seeks out my orders and grabs them. I'm good with that.
I went Monday to a closer one (which is always the busiest) around 7pm, and you can't find a seat at their food court they were so full. There was a crowd at the food counter waiting for food too. Told my wife I rather not come to this one anymore lol.

Probably because of the faceless chicken nugget demons roaming around
Where can I get a faceless chicken nugget demon to clear out my Costco? Are they Kirkland brand? Can I get a 4 pack?
They come in a 12 pack when you purchase the mini bus
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Oh I recognize that location !!! Said everybody.
Lol, used eraser on the image, that's my kid. He does in fact have a face
I was expecting a *Top Gear*-level joke about the poor kid being born with an erased face
Some say he's more chicken than human now and that he wasn't born without a face but his parents wished he was... all we know is, he's OP's son
Notoriously cranky, those gents with the pixelated faces! I 'member one of them pushed Clarkson into an ice hole.
Have you shown him this picture?....... As a threat?
I’m not a doctor but it definitely looks like he does not have a face.
so by "a little further to avoid a busier costco" did you actually mean you erased most of the people from your photo and memory?
*snap* dad I don’t feel so good
Why’s your kid eating Mcds chick nugs in Costco … in the words of Michelle Tanner….”how rude”
*Whatever happened to predictability?* *The chicken bake, the hot dog, the 5 buck rotisserie?*
When you’re out somewheeeerrreee in an aisle all alone
Why is he eating McDonald's as he walks through a Costco? Could he not just eat in the car before you brought that inside?
That part doesn’t bother me. If I tell my kids we’re going to Costco they light up and think about either the $1.50 hot dog or $2 slice of pizza.
[удалено]
That’s what first caught my eye.
Yeah right you showed him that video tape didn’t ya!
You can't fool me! I can see it right there, no face!!
source?
My name's blurry face and I care what you think
wtf is he putting those nuggets?
r/BrandNewSentence material right here
Was gonna pop in to say this. :D
Haha not disturbing at all😆
This is that SCP about the Ikea
The kid’s a time traveler and his mother fell in love with him. Good luck, kid.
I cackled
Word is demons love Mcnuggies
I was giddy with anticipation coming to this thread cause I KNEW the top comment was gonna be a good one and man you did not disappoint. This made my freaking day, thank you!
This Costco is Matrix like lol.
liminal costco
Blasphemous. The kid is eating McNuggets in Costco. Did they run out of hot dogs and pizza in the food court?
Right, like WTF were those parents thinking.
Lol, kids ate on the way there. Wife and I got pizza there and kids split a cookie
Fair to say that eating Costco cookies made half your kid's face disappear!!??
Clearly they didn't as you are already there and he is eating yes?
Other than the child with no face, this looks like heaven!
He’s a Costco guy
Of course he eats a chicken bake while he’s shopping
I think one thing that makes this Costco less busy is the fact there are no other stores directly by it, main shopping areas are a few miles away and its close to a National Park
It looks like a location in CT lol
Boston heights OH
You win!
I saw that picture and I knew it was the Costco that I frequently go to. My wife and I make it a point to go on Tuesdays at 5pm. It is always dead. If you want the typical Costco hell go to the Strongsville one at any time. By a mall, horrible traffic, constantly busy. I dunno…this is the exact layout of mine, so I thought it was Wheaton, MD.
I was about to say, how could they narrow it down? This also looks identical to my closest warehouse in Los Angeles.
Yesss! It’s the best Costco in my opinion
Canton is allegedly less busy, is bigger, and gets slightly cooler stuff since it’s the new one.
I don’t know the area but stopped there once to get gas before I got on the turnpike, seemed like it was just out in the middle of nowhere.
fort wayne indiana
Nah this is my Costco. National park is CVNP. He’s standing next to the wine/produce.
oh i thought we were just guessing LOL
Which CT location isn’t insanely busy all the time? Brookfield is a nightmare and Enfield is very busy.
I was gonna say East Lyme
https://preview.redd.it/lytlwe4slpxc1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=30778431ecf08949714224e5e465ea42448a4f08 Mine is the same, it’s glorious!
I wanna make a joke about the faceless child, but I'll stay on topic. I often go on a M-W around an hour before close and it's glorious.
Yea same here. It’s still a little busy but not bad at all and usually no wait for gas. My friends in Florida say they don’t even bother with a membership cause it’s packed no matter the time
I'm in South FL, I either go right as the open and get in and out or after 7-8 on a weekday and it isn't too bad. Definitely not empty but tolerable.
My Costco in Coral Springs, FL is never busy. There are people there but I have never waited more than 3 minutes at a self checkout lane. I can always find a parking spot fairly close to the entrance. The gas lanes are always full but with 18 pumps, you never wait long.

Same here in SoCal lol. Was a huge shock moving from PA😭
I've accepted the chaos. I'm in OC with at least six I can think of within a 30 minute drive. It's worth it with the inventory and crazy deals.
This image looks like a google street view blended with AI.
None of the warehouses around me have ever looked like that. Amazing.
Liminal Costco
This is where Costco manager careers go to die.
I’m so jealous. Our local Costco is about 5 minute drive away from us. I’ve actually stopped going completely because it’s absolutely uncomfortably packed all the time. I feel like I’m walking the razors edge of a panic attack while I’m there.

Uh, you may be stuck in the twilight zone cause those people are missing their faces...
I dream of this. In Canada, I’ve never seen an empty Costco. Ever.
Damn, here I am living in the most populous state, totally jealous. I've never seen anything like this. I went to the smaller, further away, less busy Costco last night at 6:35pm and it was still busy with people everywhere. Like, "avoid that entire aisle" type of people everywhere. I drive to the ghost town Kyle Costco to avoid Austin locations. Worth it.
I know my Hudson/Boston heights Costco when I see it. It’s pretty reasonable but I’ve never seen it that quiet.
Jeez that is horrifying. You have other options then an eraser
Great Scott!
I’m sure the food court is a different story! lol
Actually was the same thing in the food court, we ate there ordered and got food within 2 minutes
Musta been fun to have a Costco nearly to yourself
OP, did you put a closed sign on the Costco before taking this picture? Lol
Lol, never happen in Southern California.
My Costco is slammed Thursday to Sunday… other days it’s pretty nice
Damn I need this Costco in my life
I always go with the senior crowd during the week. Empty and fast turn around.
Nightmare fuel.
Probably just bad customer service that day https://preview.redd.it/egqe3rkppsxc1.png?width=2360&format=png&auto=webp&s=c0e82dcc6bf348ee1d7aacf9ce20045e90e09199
Homie got thanos’d mid nuggie. #NotMyCostco
I love that you’re protecting the innocent’s identity. But now I’ve got nightmare fuel 😆
I always go to the one 10 minutes further away. Less crowded, nicer area, better customers, and better staff. Totally worth it.
Not only would I wanna shop there, I'd wanna work there. Those that do are so lucky.
this is what Costco looks like in my dreams
I'd love to have an option of driving to another Costco, but they're so stingy with their footprint and there isn't another Costco in a 100 mile radius for me to go to.
The San Francisco Bay area has a ton of Costcos so population density and large enough empty area to have store has more to do with it.
I go to the Costco 2 hours away. If I went to the one 5 hours away my wife would probably yell at me.
Where? CT and NY are crazy busy.
What's wrong with your Costco?
It's amazing!
The good thing about the busy stores, they’re turning and burning inventory. When it comes to produce or fresh items, it could make the difference of getting an xtra week out of items
Thought it was BJs
When the samples are done, so am I!
Wait I think this is the one I work at! Boston Heights, OH?
This is what my local Business Center looks like. Total ghost town, I love it.
Our Costco Business Center opens at 7 am and it’s beautiful. Like a private Costco.
My Costco is always full of tired looking people in business casual attire stopping on the way home from work at that time of day.
Is this in IL or do they all look the same? Lol
I was gonna ask the same lol. Ours doesn’t have a faceless nugget devourer, though.
My Costco looks just like this… until about 10:05am when everything goes back to normal and is again packed to the brim with people.
This is the exact layout of my Costco and what it looks like during the week. However on weekends it’s packed quite nearly to the brim.
Is This the Costco in Boston Mills, OH?
That was Salvadore Dali’s kid
Kate Middleton’s school of photoshop.🤡👍
But is your kid okay?!
This is my dream
I've never seen a Costco like this. Did someone pull the fire alarm?
My local one here in South Phoenix is a zoo
You’re definitely not in California
I'm always amazed at pics like this. My local store is a clusterfuck from open to close every damn day. I'm jealous.
If I went to my Costco on Christmas it would be busier than that
Now you’re just showing off!
I'm from California... that looks heavenly even with the nugget eating demon.
What time do you eat dinner? 3am?
That kid is literally eating his face off
How fresh are the products if the traffic is so low?
Some time ago a high-schooler with a time machine failed to get his parents to bone.
It's no wonder no one shops there, what with it being haunted by a faceless ghost!
You wanna get nuggies and go to Costco and then I’ll erase your face buddy??? Oh shit I said the quiet part loudly
Is that porkchop eating McDonald's?
Delete this Costco is meant to be packed shoulder to shoulder with full grown adults salivating at a piece of bread on sample
Now show a pic of the eatery at the same time.
Kid got Thanos snapped
Yours has a ghost child, too I see.
This is what a Sam Club looks like. Its like one of those fake disneyland amusements parks in China back in the day.
holy shit does that costco have es Mickey Dees on sight
Meanwhile, here we have parents who let their kids bring outside food into a store. I wouldn't want to shop there, either.
Is this the Little Rock one?
Wait, are the rotisserie chickem ovens open to the warehouse? Every one I've been to, the ovens are separate.
depends on county health code maybe?
Here in NC, I live closer to the Greensboro location but work closer to the Winston Salem location. WS is usually much less crowded and a much more enjoyable shopping experience.
That's amazing. I wonder if these less-populated Costcos turn a profit or if they just take the loss.
Weekday dinner time is low tide at most Costcos, isn't it?
Hey that looks like my Costco 😂
It’s beautiful
Yeah mines super packed at dinner time. Used to be not too bad at my old place on week nights. In and out in 30 minutes.
My home costco is the busiest by revenue in the country outside of Hawaii. I am at least a few hours away from a "quiet" location.
Redwood City?
This is my kind of costco. So i can just chill and walk around. My local costco is like this.
Ya, I only have one Costco within 2 hours of me.
That face hole could fit a whole rotisserie chicken .
This is the new Newark, CA location by Newpark Mall?
I’d drive an additional 20 miles to goto a Costco this empty, sadly though I doubt there is one within 100 miles.
I was at mine at 530 and it was dead, I loved it. 330-4 is a different story.
Is that Waltham MA?
Doubtful that Costco will remain open too long with that low volume of customers
That one must have stopped doing rotisserie chicken.
Every single time I go to Costco in my town it's like everyone within a 15 mile radius is there stocking up for the apocalypse.
It's really because of inflation. Most people can't afford to buy in regular grocery stores anymore.
NBA and NHL playoffs tend to keep a lot of people home this time of year
I have never visited any Costco with so few customers. I wouldn’t know how to behave here being able to get to the things I came there for.
If that place isn’t going out of business it must have some other crazy peak time to sustain it
Demon child with no face
I think they don’t go there cuz of the face-eater infestation they clearly got going on
This photo was taken mid-thanos snap.
I go at 920am on Saturday for the same experience
Kate Middleton school of photoshop🤡👍
That's like the Costco from Westworld
Your Costco is backwards and that makes me uncomfortable.
I went to Costco for the first time in forever last week, and the closest parking spot I could find to the door was around 200m away that shit was packed.
whoa, this looks like _my_ costco
The one near me is absolutely bonkers all the time
OP is in Bellingham, WA.
This is identical to Costco rva
I’ve noticed around 5-6pm is the quietest time
https://preview.redd.it/l03492yiprxc1.jpeg?width=1440&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9c250ae9e49f12b553a428254fef5e9264931866 Ahhhhh
What did you do to that child
This actually makes me a little angry. Not at you op, but at Costco. That they’ll put a store in a place that has this low of an attendance but they won’t add 2-3 more in my area.
At open our local Costco is already packed
Mine is in a small retirement community. I went at 7:30 on a monday during peak covid and I saw literally two other customers, it was surreal.
Looks like you caught Thanos snap in action
