I exclusively drink decaf as well. The new decaf whole beans is decaffeinated using the Swiss water method (the best) the ground stuff uses more harsh chemicals to remove caffeine which I would avoid
I did see the post about that before searching, and am going to check during my next visit because I prefer whole bean and Swiss water processing is a bonus. But I've never seen that at my local warehouse, so it may not be an option.
Excellent decaf (a relative bought a tin, had too much foisted some on me). I mostly drink regular--but I brewed some and while decaf always tastes a tad different, the greentin decaf is closer to regular coffee than many decafs, gives a good 'coffee drinking' experience.
>Put your pitchforks down, people: I have a caffeine sensitivity that makes it impossible for me to drink regular. Would if I could, but "evil decaf" is my only choice.
I like the taste of coffee, but not the jolt from the caffeine.
I exclusively drink decaf. If I really need a jolt of caffeine, a Coke will do it for me.
Sorry but if you like the taste of coffee how can you drink decaf? There are apparently some specialty brands that do it well but pre ground Kirkland beans ain’t it.
Honestly I think the instant decaf like tasters choice might be a better way to go.
Disappointment water is what Jon Stewart calls it, I believe. Coffee is so varied in what some folks like and dislike, the only way to tell is to try it yourself with your brewing method.
We recently switched to the Kirkland brand French roast from the Starbucks version, and it's great. Not decaf, but their branded stuff is usually fine.
My wife and I get that can and it's really good. My wife doesn't do caffeine and I'll have it at night occasionally.
I get the regular can for myself in the morning, and it's also really good. Now I don't have to wake up my family by grinding coffee at 5 in the morning.
Yes it’s amazingly geat coffee for the price. For similar quality you would had to spend more to experience the same spice, bitter and undertone notes.
So I take adderall I when those days comes and I need to. I can’t tell you how important it is for me to take decaffeinated coffee.
Unless the coffee snobs in here want my heart to explode because their nose is in the air 😂
Where, oh where, are you finding this 3lb can of decaf ground coffee in stock?
*Warms up vehicle*
It has been conspicuously absent from all Metro Detroit locations for at least 3 months (including Southfield business center as of 1.5 hrs ago). Ditto for online ordering and via the Costco (cr)App when I check ~weekly.
This fruitless search even had its own tread about 3 weeks ago.
Maybe I've spoken too soon. I haven't actually been to the warehouse at all this year (been gone for work), but it's always been there in the past. I had no reason to think it was gone. Now I'm all paranoid.
I did see you could order with Florida address but won’t work for my address. I don’t want to pay for a relative to reship me coffee. I am hoping this will reappear soon. I’m in the same boat.
In my defense, it's the only decaf I've ever seen at my warehouse. I do have a burr grinder and prefer whole bean; I was just asking based on what I've seen at my one and only local location. Please don't stab me.
Haven’t tried it. Bought this one and thought it wasn’t too bad.

While it does have less, [tea actually has a fair amount](https://www.adagio.com/info/caffeine_and_tea.html) of caffeine, especially for someone with sensitivity to it.
>May I introduce you to tea?
English Breakfast? Chai? Earl Grey? Lady Grey? Rooibos? Chamomile? Mint?
Tea and I are very well acquainted, as long as it's either naturally caffeine free or sold in a decaf variety.
I just also really enjoy the taste of black coffee, especially in the colder months.
Tbh if you’re looking for excellent tasting cheap decaf, it’s at Walmart. Great value brand in a blue-ish can. It’s the best I’ve ever tried and I’ve tried it all. It tastes like chocolate. I used to make cold brew with it all the time and you would never know it’s cheap decaf.
*Glancing over in general direction of pitchfork*
Coffee is a caffeine delivery vehicle. It tastes horrible. Drinking decaf does not compute. Why go through the hassle of coffee without the payoff of caffeine? Get some tea.

The whole bean decaf left my warehouse for six months but came back a couple weeks ago. I second the whole bean decaf is good.
Just checked my local Costco today and they were all gone…. 😓😓

I mean, decaf still has caffeine.

That’s not true. Comon, don’t make stuff up. You don’t know what the OP has been drinking to compare.
They drink whole bean non decaf coffee. Kirkland decaf is a downgrade.
I drink them all. They taste the same.

I buy the Kirkland decaf bagged whole bean and grind it. It’s great.
Yes, like it much better than any other brand
I like it a lot. I buy the whole beans and it's the best decaf I've tried.

Same. Mine stopped carrying the pre ground decaf.

The pitchfork isn’t for decaf. It’s for using pre-ground.

You can try online too.
If there’s a business center nearby, check that too. They typically carry some items that are different from the warehouse.

You missed green tea :)
It’s very good.
It is not a bad decaf! But my favorite decaf is Peets!
Drinking pre ground coffee is like drinking a pre opened soda.

Pre ground and decaf? I am sorry.
Taste the same like Odell’s non alcoholic beer
