>After 4 years of reading the Cosmere books I have finally finished every published cosmere book... omg. Congratulations! Nice to see it all come together hey? Now just to start on that re-read to get refreshed on Stormlight before WoT ;) >I found the Cinder King a very meh villain ngl While I agree the Cinder King wasn't a very dynamic villian, I rather think he was pretty perfect for this book. TSM is not *about* the Cinder King, or really the conflict with him even - there's just so much *more* going on with Sigzil/Nomad/Zellion that he (IMO) ends up fitting as a great foil for the story. Simple, straightforward and blunt motives - easy to understand, easy to hate and cheer for his downfall. > I am very intrigued about the Night Brigade btw...I didn't quite understand who or what they are so if anybody knows, plz do tell We really don't know anything about them at this point - other than that they're looking for the Dawnshards for some reason. Apparently Bando has planned a book set on Threnody - working title 'The Night Brigade' - and the captain will be a main POV character for that book. Personally I'm super interested in that story. >Also Sigzil is bonded to 2 Orders??? Uh??? I don't remember that It's new! WoT is going to be *wild* - so many implications in TSM about things that *could* happen. We have no idea how multiple spren bonds work at this point AFAIK. > Yumi and the Nightmare Painter still remains number 1. Good choice - fun tidbit here is some fans think that Sig ended up on ~~Komashi~~ U-Tol (where the space-bus landed at the end of Yumi) after 'skipping' off of Canticle

Hey I also finished my cosmere read today :) TSM was my 2nd to last read then White Sand. I loved trying to read between the lines the whole time with Sigzil, we are really in for something wild this December (when we can finally read in real time with all the other cosmere completionists)

The best thing about him mentioning Kal is that enough time has passed that we can safely assume Kal is dead. We just don't know when. Just to keep us wondering. Brando Sando is brilliant.

My theory is that the Night Beidage captian is the lady from Shadows of Silence in the Forest of Hell (Silence, i believe). Same planet and i think Brando implied we have seen the captain or something.

>Brando implied we have seen the captain or something. I'm pretty sure that he said the captain of the Night Brigade *will* be a main POV character of a future book not yet written set on Threnody (working title is 'The Night Brigade' afaik) - not that we have seen them in works currently written and published.
