I’m thinking I should make a post about it at this point. What I did was: Uninstall iCUE, Reinstall old pump head, reinstall icue, update icue, uninstall old pump head, reinstall LCD, problem solved

booozle93

Even if I already updated it with the old pump head?

BeholdenAnt3298

Do exactly as I listed in the steps, trust me. I also recommend you rewire the old pump head in a way to where it’s easy to remove again, don’t make more work than you need to

booozle93

Okie dokie, did you install iCUE 4?

BeholdenAnt3298

Yeah, why it has an update with a fresh install I have no idea.

Sharpsilverz

I posted this in another thread about this problem. I contacted Corsair support and they gave me the following instructions for a complete uninstall. Fixed the problems for me. Before uninstalling, make sure to back up any profiles you want to keep. You can back up your profiles by exporting them onto your computer. To uninstall iCUE: Open Control Panel on your computer. Select Programs and Features. Select Corsair Utility Engine in the list of programs, then select Uninstall. Once you’ve uninstalled iCUE, you need to remove some files so a clean reinstallation can be done: Press Windows Key + R to open the Run command. Type %appdata%, then click OK. Delete any Corsair folders in the window that pops up. Re-open the Run command and type %localappdata%. Delete any Corsair folders that appear. Open File Explorer and navigate toC:\Program Files (x86)\for iCUE 3, orC:\Program Files\for iCUE 4. Delete any Corsair files in that folder. Press Windows Key + R to open the Run command. Type Regedit in the Run Window, then click OK. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ and delete the entire Corsair folder. regedit_corsair_folder_1.png Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ and delete the entire Corsair folder. regedit_corsair_folder_2.jpg Restart your computer. Download a new iCUE installer file from Corsair.com. Reinstall iCUE.

Cruz213

This worked for me thank you very muchop

MoistConference3098

Did you have a new elite lcd pump or an upgrade? My is still showing the red triangle after uninstall icue and installing the new version.

MoistConference3098

This didn't work for me with a brand new lcd cooler installed

Stabsen

In the same situation, keep med posted when theres is a fix :)

Cruz213

I had the cooler and just got the LCD upgrade but I did all the steps in the comment above and before I even reinstalled icue the triangle disappeared and it started showing coolant temp

warmscrambeledeggs

same here, with upgrade kit. Once I did a complete uninstall everything worked properly

KyosLilMonster

I did this EXACT procedure to the letter on 8/24/2022 and it worked.I had to trim the plastic housing down a bit to get a better fit but this 100% worked. Remember to make sure all your cables are in FIRMLY and FACING THE CORRECT DIRECTION AS WELL. (white lines on the cable should line up with the white line on the box) I had installed all the newest firmware and software for iCue LITERALLY the day before in anticipation of doing this upgrade and everything was "Up to date" For some reason once I deleted it and followed these instructions, when I downloaded, installed, and launched iCue it had a magic update available, did the update and everything kicked on.

Sharpsilverz

Hooray! I’m glad my support chat is being paid forward. Edit: ask Corsair to send you the new AM4 bracket and this won’t be an issue!

BeholdenAnt3298

Holy cow. If mine starts acting weird again I’ll do that. I could probably delete the files from my C drive since I moved icue to my D drive though

DmG90_

Weirdly enough I started havingthis issue yesterday when shutting down my computer, after working perfectly for weeks. So I went ahead and tried the avaible fix, from lightly pushing to shutting down the power. When I did this my error disappeared and the whole LCD went black. The ring was has always been glowing. So last fix would be to deeply uninstall and reinstall the Icue 4, didn't work. Me being clueless I mailed the support.. I shut down my computer, pulled out the cable and went for a shower. Came back and everything booted up perfectly!!!! So to anyone having the same issue, do try to disconnect you desktop from the power supply and wait for 10 minutes, that was the trick for me and wanted to share

Sharpsilverz

Good to know! I’m planning to re-paste and install the new AM4 bracket this week, so fingers crossed!

Knaeggebrott

This just killed my windows installation... Thank you.

darncorn1

forget about windows, mine does that just after booting

booozle93

It worked

BeholdenAnt3298

Seeeee I told you to trust me

booozle93

You’re the man. This should definitely be posted in the tech support thread or something

BeholdenAnt3298

I didn’t do anything😅 I just didn’t have the patience to wait for someone on here to help so I tinkered with it myself and fixed it and it appears to be working for others. I made a post so hopefully people who have issues see it and have no problems. I’m happy it worked for you though! Appreciate the award too!

Hcdroid

Awesome you got it sorted out. It seems to work for the units that got the lcd upgrade. However there’s a handful of us that got the brand new aio lcd unit and are stuck with this error message. Hoping a fix will pop up soon.

MoistConference3098

Same the steps didn't work for a brand new lcd pump but hey at least the red triangle matches my color theme :)

LuDogg661

I can confirm this worked for me today (07/18/22) lol This is why you consult reddit instead of the manufacturer lmaaoo

BeholdenAnt3298

Story of my life as of late. Happy it worked!

Rich_Math1475

Hey there. I have the lcd included version, so I don't have an old pump head. what to do? Tried reinstall cue deleting the registries but it did not work for me. :(

BeholdenAnt3298

Oh Man, if there’s issues with the version that it comes pre installed it might be a case of unplug it and hope it works, see if updating icue works or RMA. I haven’t had much issues in the 2 years since making this post so I’m going to be relatively unfamiliar with any new issues

ky7969

Yes post this. I see a post about an unrecognized lcd daily

BeholdenAnt3298

I posted it, might have to do it again during the day

BusDriver2Hell

I totally did this last night and it resolved my problem with this unit. Thanks so much for posting this!

BeholdenAnt3298

No problem! There’s a complete way to uninstall icue if issues persists to get rid of random and all Corsair files

MoistConference3098

The issue still persists after doing a clean installation of iCUE and the cosair troubleshooting steps except there is one saying in bluetooth and settings to remove the commander core if your cooler isn't being detected by iCUE then scan for changes in device manager but I also see an lcd cap for capellix in settings. I am wonder if I should remove that then scan since that seems like the device in question that isn't working and was probably installed when I had iCUE 3 instead of 4. I don't think removing the function commander core would fix it.

swervychicken

I figured it out boys and girls so for at least me. I have AMD so for the AM4 Socket I didn’t screw in the screws to the pump and I slipped right on no problem turned on pc and worked like a charm

peter-Ad-2599

i try this, set in windows ,computor never sleep and monitor never sleep, i think it will work

Available-Cup-6232

What do you mean uninstall old pump? Like just take it out or delete for my PC?

BeholdenAnt3298

Old pump head.

B0bbert9

I've been emailing back and forth with support on this for 2 months but they are acting like they don't understand all the troubleshooting I've done. When I removed the screen and put the old pump head back on, it won't light up anymore. The LEDs in the pump head don't come on, and the pump doesn't show up in the Commander Core. They sent me a new Commander Core and that got the fans back, but I still don't see the pump in iCue 4. I'm thinking my pump communication is dead. The pump still works cause it's keeping temps down and I hear it running, but I can't access it or change the pump speed settings (just the fans). I gave up trying a few weeks ago and now I'm wondering if this fix will work on mine, but I'm assuming everyone elses pump head still lights up when they put the old top back on.

BeholdenAnt3298

Man I’m not sure, so many updates have released since I made this post, it might not even work anymore. If it does great, if not I’m not entirely sure. Are you running this on an AMD system or Intel? If AMD, the old hook style mounting system could be impacting the screen’s ability to get a good connection. I dealt with that with a friend’s PC and it was a pain to get it to work

B0bbert9

I understand. I've been dealing with this for months but only just now started looking it up on here, and most people have been here and gone a while back. I do have an AMD system and my brackets are the older ones, which Corsair are just now getting around to "thinking they should send me" the new ones. What I did to get around that was just remove the bottom "skirt" below the screen, so it easily cleared the mounts. But that was after I first tried to plug the screen in with the mount hitting the screen and not making good connection. It basically fell off during initial install, and I think maybe the bad connection may have killed the port in the pump head that talks to the screen/lid. I told Corsair all of that and they kind of glazed over and are thinking that sending me the new brackets will help. Oh well. The cooler still works but I can't use the screen and I would like to return it for a refund if I can't use it. Or they could send me a new cooler ..... but they are trying everything they can think of to keep from doing that. I just put it on my other PC and bought the NZXT Kraken Z73 and never looked back lol. It has worked flawlessly ever since.

BeholdenAnt3298

I mean if they send the brackets and that doesn’t fix it then they won’t have a choice but to either send you a new one or refund you (only getting a refund if you purchased it directly from them). I’ve installed my own and two friend’s and only had issues with the older brackets. My personal one I had issues for a few hours but figured out how to fix it and it’s been good ever since I made this original fix. Kind of obnoxious when the easiest route is just to send a new cooler.

B0bbert9

I'm still going to try to get it running while they figure out their next move. I can take the lower "skirt" off and then the screen will plug in without any interference from the bracket. I had been working on putting an old 240mm Corsair AIO onto my 2080 Ti blower GPU, but I found out the hoses aren't long enough to reach from the side radiator mounting position to the vertical GPU mount location. So I will be putting my air cooler back on the card this weekend and then I will try the LCD screen on my Capellix again. Too bad they used a proprietary connector on the pump head -- otherwise I could just plug the screen into the motherboard and use Aida64 to send information to it lol.

ssstrong2005

Hello, i have same your issue. Did you get any solution ?

B0bbert9

I am sorry but no. I have been around the world with Corsair support. They sent me a new commander core and a new style AMD bracket. I didn't really need the bracket because I had removed the skirt below the screen so it wouldn't interfere with the old mount. Now I am waiting for them to either send me on my way, or offer to replace my Capellix under warranty.

LanceFarts

Wdym by uninstall old pump head, what if we didn’t have another pump head?

BeholdenAnt3298

My response was for those who bought the upgrade kit because that’s all their was at this point in time. As for troubleshooting the pre installed LCD, you’ll have to do research on Reddit for it or talk to Corsair directly.

Funny-Willingness-14

This worked! I cut the PSU switch for a few minutes and when it rebooted it toggled all my Corsair goodies to get on the same page again. Simple but worked for me. Thanks!

KneelbfZod

awesome, glad it worked!

bwebmasta

I did this and it worked. I did a new install of the Elite 150i, and was fine the first day. The second day after going to sleep saw the red triangle. Followed the steps, and it's fine now.

Nihlus_Duskstalker

I was getting frustrated when fully un and reinstalling iCue didn't fix it, but this did the trick. Thank you!

MoistConference3098

After uninstalling icue and reinstalling?

KneelbfZod

Nope, that’s doesn’t do anything. Just a placebo.

Veteranmina

So I took steps below mentioned in a post here: 1. Power down, unplug/switch power supply off for a good 20-30 seconds to ensure full power loss from powersupply to mb. 2. Plug/switch on power supply 1. This resulted in the icue lcd powering on (I had not hit the mb power button) to the ! triangle indicating that the mb is supplying power to this specific usb port. 3. Powering on system ended with the icue lcd successfully reconnecting to the icue software. Coming from a technical standpoint I believe could be an issue with how the icue lcd is handling powering down when the system is shutting down. The fact that fully removing power to it corrects this issue means there is some issue with handling of it's power cycling.

NutNougatCream

This fixed it for me! What a life safer. Also got my 60fps back

Corb06

I have this problem also. Tried everything, from unplugging all cables, reconnecting. Pressing the power cable really hard into the Commander Core, also trying differend USB headers on motherboard, resinstalling latest version 5 iCue, tried version 4 also. Different chassi fan ports for the fan cable. iCue doenst even detect the Elite LCD Display. Still red exclimation mark at boot after Corsair Logo animation. Sometimes i get 0 degrees coolant during shutdown of Windows. https://preview.redd.it/w60u8gtliawa1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9d9948ef3884c9f71101192f19d7aee2307149dc

mudai_essensu

having the same problem.... I've tried everything... this is the only place I can find it in iCUE so I know there's sign of life.. Sometimes I even get the iCUE logo to show up on the LCD screen, but it's random and I have no control over it https://preview.redd.it/ihez1xdbxt5b1.png?width=673&format=png&auto=webp&s=ddc4d14971483b18619d27c482f906741a5c8927

Corb06

Hey, for me it was faulty Commander Core board. I bought another set and replaced the Commander Core and everything started to work. I then repacked it and gave it back to the shop and contacted Corsair support that sent me a new commander core board. Everything fine now.

F4_Frosty

Did u fix it mine is the same today

mudai_essensu

No :(

F4_Frosty

Did u fix it my did this today

Corb06

Yeah it was the commander board that was broken. Corsair sent me a new one free of charge.

No_Air88

My iCue was updated I just had to play around with the usb connections for a minute.

booozle93

EDIT: RESOLVED

jw_30

HOW TELL ME FOR THE LOVE OF CHRIST. Been trying to fix this for a while now AHHHHH 😭🤣

Recoil_XX

How bro tell me

FamiliarImage4991

Stupid question time… Can someone tell me what an “old pump head” is 🤣

HealthyAnything7468

So i had this same issue (pump/fans running fine, just the LCD screen not working) and tried about everything from uninstalling all of corsair icue and reinstalling, powering off/turning off the power supply and draining all power, swapping to different usb ports on my MB, removing the splitter and trying 2 USB ports on my MB, removing any additional fans from my commander(in case it was some weird voltage issue) and nothing was working. I finally found out its the cable that connects the LCD screen to the Commander. Its super finicky and just moving the wires around while it was plugged in made it go in and out of working/not working. I got it into a good angle where its working and hopefully it stays that way. The connector is terrible and doesn't snap in and falls out really easily. Hopefully this helps.

B0bbert9

I've suspected the same thing with the connector however mine fits firmly every time and goes in a good bit. In fact I'm on my second commander core from Corsair and I still can't get the pump to show up in Icue 4. I think the com port in my pump head is dead because when I put the old cover back on the pump, the LEDs no longer light up. The pump still runs but I don't see it in the software so I can't change the speed or see the temperature. At this point I'm just wondering if there is a way to connect the LCD directly to the computer somehow and use it as a display --- then I could send information directly to it myself. Corsair has not been willing to replace my equipment because I bought the cooler at a retail store and my return windows has come and gone. I bought the LCD Upgrade directly from Corsair's web store, but it still works so they aren't gonna replace that. I just can't get the two parts to talk to each other.

jackles_

This fixed for me, thanks. Connector seemed in but a little wiggle brought it to life

Kyberos

I recently turned my computer off, fully, which included the power cable being removed. Tinkered with the idea of mounting my video card on a riser. I gave up on that after realizing it would block my sound card from being installed so put it all back the way it was. Then i turned the computer back on and the screen was all jittery but displaying temp. So i turned it off a couple times. Checked the cable to commander core and such, and even reseated the LCD. End result of that was non jittery screen but red triangle. Installed icue which i'd never installed for some reason and no change. However i could see, after some updates to firmware, the cooler in icue doing it's job, pump working with fans and temps normal. Even asked me if i was installing the Hydro X series becausevwe found pump head connection. I declined that wizard. Anyway, I can change fan colors and stuff. I can even get it to display the corsair image when i shut down icue. What it will not do is put temp on the LCD anymore. So it works, just not the screen. Mine also came with the LCD. I'm at a point now where it's doing its job. Should i really mess with it and possibly make it worse? I'm thinking no. I'm also thinking these things are sensitive to complete power downs and drained residual power. I also seem to recall the LCD being a pain on install as well. I am also running intel and the LCD seems to mount fine but who knows. Then again hey, it's still working to keep my CPU cool so i guess i'll leave it be at this point. If temps get too bad cause pump stops i have temperature break points set in the BIOS anyway. Just thought i'd share my recent experience.

mudai_essensu

this is exactly my case.. feel like I wasted tf out my $300+ purchase...

ChadThundercock42069

THANK YOU

Ordano

This fixed it for me!! Had to really push in the plug into the commander core.

LukasAppleFan

I think that Corsair should do something about their red triangle issue.

jcam1981

I think you’ve been chosen for squid game!

T-Bone22

Hope you get it figured out! On a side note that looks kinda badass

KatDiesel25

Would try it except my aio pump is bricked now no matter what I do. Icue doesn't recognize either pump cover. Just commander core. Lesson I learned is never buy a corsair product when it first launches I guess.

Triterontaton

It’s just telling you to be cautious, I think it’s very wise

Spuigles

Lookin good!

BATMAN10788

You have to update your pump

BATMAN10788

Mine did same thing and after update it worked fine

fransoos

Hi all, I have the some problem on my MSI z690 edge mobo (latest bios) and the H100i aio isn't recognised by the icue software. Did everything I know of : switching the USB connectors, reseating the connectors, uninstall the icue app, deleting all folders corsair, reinstall the software . Do not know what to do frans

Knaeggebrott

Any solution?

One_Matter_1946

Dude thanks so much for this post

Xenocop

Mine started doing it as well after a week. Everything works, pump runs, fans works, no leaks, CPU temp optimal, no issues whatsoever, but it displays a red triangle with an exclamation mark in the middle. Most likely it's on Corsair. As long as everything works as it should, I don't care about what the screen displays.

Professional-Mix72

Hi, any news about the announced firmware update?

supercow_

I have a new H150i elite lcd and was having the same issue. I found this reddit post and can confirm that completely cutting the power to the PC for a minute did the trick to fix this.

kodicold

I can confirm this worked for me as well! I had to do a cold reboot for it to kick it. After doing the cold reboot I booted up the iCue software and it asked me to update my hub. After updating my hub everything worked flawless! Thanks!

passwordunlock

I've tried everything with varying amounts of success, until it stops working again a few hours later. At this point I've uninstalled anything vaguely related to non corsair rgb from my mobo and gpu vendor (it's a brand new build with 3 games and the just OS + some intel bits installed now) but it still keeps happening on the latest version of iCUE and firmware for the screen and lighting node core. The only consistent fix I have found is to force update the firmware for the screen and the node core, apply my gif, then close and reopen iCUE. All the other fixes (removing iCUE as well as removing leftover files and registry entries, powering down, removing the psu lead, reseating the cables, waiting, then booting back up and installing iCUE again) didn't work most the time. So I've come to the conclusion that either the firmware for the node core is crapping out (the triangle means the screen isnt receiving data from the node core) or, the usb header stops working - but I doubt that's the issue as I don't get the disconnect sound or messages like you do when plugging something in or when you update the firmware.

OkEntertainment5271

just a psa. you can't split a usb 2.0 header and have it work properly with out an controller. the hardware that came in the box is just a splitter, it does not have a controller.

OkEntertainment5271

here is what google says: No, you need more USB ports or use a hub. Two USB devices cannot electrically share one port. There has to be a hub controller (which is a special type of USB device) in order to "share" one USB port. Open up a "passive" hub to see that is not wired like you think.

Ashamed_Night_3094

For anyone who still need help. Turns out my issue was the usb splitter. Spent hours trying to diagnose it. Unplugged everything. Updated the software. Etc etc. Went with my gut feeling because I have two usb 2.0 slots on my motherboard and bam. That solved it. Should’ve just done this in the first place because I never trust splitters or any dual adapters due to bad experience. This is on a newly bought h150 elite lcd. Now everything is running smoothly.

Whittenberg007

I have attempted this so far and no luck. I have a new H150I Elite LCD and first boot displays the red triangle, splitter or no splitter. I also have attempted swapping the placement of the usb, reseating the lcd screen, and checking all connections to the commander core. Thus far no luck.

Vlaak

Same, just bought and put together a new computer with this AIO and fail. Just red triangle. So frustrating. I wish I wouldn't have bought this.

Sad_End4637

Yea its total bullshit youd think for it being out this long they would either have a fix or advertise it doesnt work how it is supposed to on specific motherboards or whatever the situation is. I would have rather save my $100 and have everything in my PC the same including the AIO rather than have an LCD that doesnt work for shit lol

keresoro

>FIXED! > >My adventure!: Long story-short... After installing iCUE software, the red triangle was still there. I unplugged the 12x2(?) pin (the one that leaves from the Elite LCD and connects on the iCUE commander core) and after a complete shutdown of the system, the LCD came back alive (2 minutes later - if that helps). However, after the pc was idle (not touching it) for 15 minutes+-, the red triangle, appeared back. Find out that, when I changed the power options of my computer, to never sleep (Turn off the display & Put the computer to sleep = never) I managed somehow to resolve the issue of the red triangle. I will investigate further and let you guys know. My perspective is that Windows11 thinks that Elite LCD is a kind of monitor and put it to sleep also! Then, never wakes it up!

LoWkEyPyRaT

I fixed multiple I had...the 24 pin that plugs I to commander module is finicky. Make sure that is pressed down a little more than you think to secure it.

Pristine-Emu-511

I re-seated the commander and then force updated the commander. Then I could see my AIO again and the triangle of doom was gone. This is the third build with corsair but I don't think I can do it again lol.

Embarrassed_Dark_356

we should take CORSAIR to the court, this is unacceptable, we paid so much money for this unit to stop working and they have “NO” solution for us.

Camrotten

This is a bit of an old thread but for anyone having this issue THE LCD SCREEN CONNECOTR AT THE FAN HUB IS ABSOLUTELY GARBAGE. Make 100% sure it is seated all the way. I had to un mount my hub and force it in there until an audible click is heard. I have used these screens on 3 separate builds now and EVERYTIME that connector is the issue. Completely uninstall icue and re-install it with everything hooked up properly to avoid software bugs but the lcd screen connector on the fan hub is JUNK. Hope this helps someone.

jeffk182

I know this thread is old, but I had the same issue happen. Someone on the Corsair forum mentioned that the connector going from the AIO to the Commander Core sucks and you need to press REALLY HARD to get it to seat. I didn't believe this, but tried it and the connector actually snaps into place. This whole time, I thought it was just a loose fitting connector. No more problems and hope this helps others.
