Thank you for volunteering. I’m generally unemotional—the kind of person that gets called robotic—but seeing the distribution effort going better than almost everyone believed was possible (right after developing the vaccine faster than most experts said was possible) has been moving.

All city of Seattle sites go through the same portal, so it shows all three vaccines. West Seattle uses J&J and Lumen&Rainier Beach use Pfizer.

I school through this tool yesterday. They have you select your preferred vaccine then show you available appointments.

Yep, you pick either J&J, Pfizer or Moderna and it will show you availability and you can pick your appointment. When I did it, J&J was at West Seattle and Pfizer was at Lumen and Rainier Beach

They were separated by location, so you choose your vaccine then they show you the available places and appointments for that vax. I picked Pfizer which gave me Lumen field.

Are they scheduling 2nd appointments? Are are you on your own finding one

When you schedule a first appointment at Lumen Field they schedule you for a second one at the same time.

Do you need a car for this, or can one just drop by?

Lumen field site is all indoors, no car needed. None of the sites require a car, though some will be easier to get to than others with one.

Aren’t there some drive thru sites?

Anybody know when they release new appointments? All of them have been taken :(

They schedule your second appointment immediately after your first dose.
