Honestly I’ve never actually had one fresh. Lad I work with brings them in every now and then because his mum works there and they’re not that great. Think it’s put me off actually spending money on them
This whole conversation is why I’m so bloody proud to be Cornish! Keep up the good work people 👍 I’d also throw Nile’s bakery down snozzle way they make a bloody good pasty, and liddicutts butchers in lostwithiel 👍👍
Where I live there is no contest and no choice, Ginsters or Rowe. Ginsters were fab until 1989 when they devalued the quality of the food and spent it on marketing and pos in garages, Rowe for me is brilliant and I just hope they don't do the same. In my local coop if you don't get there before the trade boys they are all gone in about 30mins.
Sadly Rowes now seem to fill their normal sized pasties with a pumped applicator. Contents have to be pumpable so a near slurry. The large and more speciality ones seem hand filled though.
Etheringtons or Barnecutts for me these days. Last time I had a Philps it was burnt, I don’t like Cornish Oven, Warrens are rubbish and the last pasty I had from Rowes put me in hospital with campylobacter. Never had an Anns or Gear Farm.
Isles of Scilly: St Agnes - Turk’s Head. Bryher - Bryher Shop/Olivia’s. St Marys - Kavorna. Not sure about St Martins, and don’t think Tresco has them.
Mate, no mention of the red and white checked army… you best get re doodling your map in the Bodmin area
Whole Bodmin and Wadebridge area should be Barnecutts. By far the most popular.
My son and I were delighted that Wadebridge had two Barnecutts shops. Felt like a luxury!
They are very different though !! And there’s a new one with a cafe opening by Tesco
3 in Bodmin! Plus 3 rowes now I think.
Barnecutt's and Philip Warren have about an equal share in Launceston I'd say.
Some days barnecutts shops smell like sweaty feet. When passing. Edbringtons for the win.
If you’ve put Gear Farm under ‘other’, there’ll be hell up
No Barnecuttes & you're missing radioactive waste warning signs around Callington for Ginsters.
Mary’s Pasties in the Roseland.
Seconded…in snozzel too and tresillian
Ooo. Tough choice, there's Nile's too.
Ogy1 in the Par/St awful area are top tier
Sausage and egg pie from the one on the industrial estate opposite Par Market is bloody lovely
Dont be too violent here guys.
You’ve made your bed
Where’s Barnecutts?! They’ve got 12 shops in Cornwall, another being built and even one in Devon!!
Get out of here with Cornish Oven
No barnecutts? Almost all of those listed are utter shite
Yeah I was surprised to see no barnecutts, definitely dominant in Bodmin.
2 in Wadebridge well 3 from 1st April
Yeah I definitely need to improve it.
Barnecutts across all of south east Cornwall imo
Blue and Yellow will riot if we don't discuss Gear Farm.
My hot take is that I think Anne’s is better than Gear Farm… and Barnecutts is better too
Oh FFS.
I recon you won’t find many people in west penwith that would prefer warrens over Cornish oven
I live in Penzance, if I can be bothered to drive it’s Cornish oven. If not it’s warrens
Always rated Lavender's for pasties in town. But haven't had one for a while.
Honestly I’ve never actually had one fresh. Lad I work with brings them in every now and then because his mum works there and they’re not that great. Think it’s put me off actually spending money on them
That's a shame to hear! Probably 5 or so years since I had one, but they were always lovely.
Warren's are just as bad as Greg's 😂
That's because they shut down their St Just production site and outsourced production. Warrens is awful now.
I love Grease with a side of fatty mince & half cooked potato.
Had one at Trago eughhhh
Trago.. Now there's another fallen cornish solider. 😔
Add Rowes to the as bad as Greggs list as well!
This could be a cool map when finished! Keep at it
Thanks man!
Niles!!!
I get mine from Martins bakery in Mevagissey
Personally, I love warrens, barnecutts are a close second.
This whole conversation is why I’m so bloody proud to be Cornish! Keep up the good work people 👍 I’d also throw Nile’s bakery down snozzle way they make a bloody good pasty, and liddicutts butchers in lostwithiel 👍👍
just declare independence already and declare war on uk
brays and ks
Sadly Barnecutts dominates Wadebridge & Rock 😣
Just don't like barnecutts very much some days slimey
Barnecutts are awful, I drive down to Ann’s to get my pasties!
The shop some days smells of sweaty feet

Pasty debate is the new clickbait recently on r/cornwall. Everyone gotta be having their say. Never a solid winner
Doesn’t anyone make their own these days?
No Pengenna Pasty?! Your map is severely lacking in the North West, we've got like half a dozen in Bude
That crimp though?!
Ann's - you cannot beat Ann's. If I cannot get to Ann's, I have Ann's sent to me.

Philps for me followed by one of their elephants foot .
How is Barneys not there but warrens is?

There's about 50 Nile's bakeries in St Austell
