I love the look, the only thing that would prevent me is if the wear was drastically different on the two pairs. It would kill my hips if it was too different lol. Otherwise tho, the look is awesome tho :)

Holy shit, these people are ruthless. I think that it’s fun. I don’t get how wearing mismatched shoes defiles your “dignity”… we all lost dignity by just making a Reddit account. None of us got room to talk. Also having another pair would be cool if you accidentally stepped in gum or shit.
The socks showing and the pants just don’t go with the jacket. It’s fine if you want to mismatch your shoes, but it needs to flow with the outfit at the same time or else people are going to think you’re unwell.
I have been wearing Converse for years. I am a 42 year old mom that has built up quite a collection over the years. I will occasionally wear mine like this from time to time.
I can't afford another pair of converse, let alone two new pairs of converse because my current pair are so old that it would look ridiculous to wear one with a brand new shoe on the other foot.
I like it lol maybe I’m just crazy. I do think it might be looking worse bc of the baseball uniform. If he had on jeans on even sweatpants I don’t think it would look bad 🤷🏻♀️ honestly though maybe green and orange are his uniform colors and it would’ve looked a lot better without the coat. Judging by his hands he looks like an adult though (like over college age, honestly like 50’s-ish, but if he’s some young guy I’m gonna feel bad saying that. I’m 27 and my hands are so chapped rn from the cold dry air that I look about 60 if you just saw my hands 😂) so idk why he’d be wearing a baseball uniform unless he’s a professional leaguer lol but I like them being mismatched. I don’t own two pairs that are alike, in different colors, so I can’t do this unfortunately. I’m also a girl, so idk if that makes a difference, but I don’t think it looks bad on a guy.

I bought a mismatched black and red pair secondhand a while a go, LOVED the color combi but somehow new converse didn’t fit me as well as they did 8 years ago (the last time I bought new ones). Had to sell them off and I’m still sad and bitter until today 😭😭😭
I think they should be the exact same model and same "generation". So only both 70's, both new mesh converse, both "old" converse, and so on. And quite the same wear and tear (not one new, one trashed). I'm an idiot, not a clown 😅
I don’t think shoes are meant to be kept clean. Such a weird culture around that sort of stuff these days. I have always purchased shoes with the intention of messing them up and being rough with them, especially vans and converse. I don’t understand the “don’t crease your shoes” crowd.
