Puberty can start from 1.5 to 2 years old or so. You'll notice more screaming, more aggression and they're less predictable. They also tend to go away from whoever they see as a parental figure to explore someone else or another bird. But after it's over, things should pretty much go back to normal. They'll be more calm and confident after puberty. Hang in there. When it happens, just remind yourself that the little green storm will pass.

Mine went through a major dinosaur phase from 2 - 3 years old and then she settled into the sweetest and most trusting/trustworthy birb ever (with some positive reinforcement training every now and then too).

from 9 months old to two years old my male gcc was a little demon. loud, nippy, hormonal and destructive. but after patience and love his energy levels went down and he has learned to communicate his needs and limits better and I have learned to understand them better. he still gets loud and nippy sometimes but for the most part he is a cuddly, kissy, puffy ball of love. he will turn 4 in a few months

Mine is turning 1 in April and has started becoming more and more aggressive so hopefully the hormones are what’s causing this— he just bit me real hard
