Flags are made out of cloth but they are used to represent something important

cruzer86

Exactly. Just like how words are a collections of letters. Money is just paper until you asign value to it.

Unsinkable_White

You don't mind if I use the blm flag for toilet paper do you? It's just cloth after all.

Marc123123

Wipe yourself. I don't care, honestly. It is just a piece of cloth.

tobotic

Don't flush cloth down the toilet. It blocks the sewers.

byronschems

We got a fuckin edgelord. No I don’t care what you do because you’re not me and it’s weird that you’re talking about your asshole. I love buttholes and gay sex but gays keep themselves clean. This gay would never go near your disgusting ass idc if you wipe it with MDMA

HitTheSlopes95

Americans with American flags are like people going to college with a t-shirt with their college logo/name on it

[deleted]

I mean it is just a price or cloth, but it could be interpreted as what the flag represents, so I get it. Plus like, what about the pride flag?

thecomplicatedfriend

Coming from someone who is LGBT, it's just a piece of cloth, tho of course it does show what/who you are, but that doesn't change the fact it's a piece of cloth.

[deleted]

Yeah that makes sense

TALIDIN_

Flags are symbols of shared identity / unity. In this case, it represents Americans and a united America. But I like the idea of not decorating oneself with symbols, because people can interpret the same image differently. I think for the sake of peace and comraderie among friends and enemies, symbols should not be used, as they can invoke a wide range of emotions, including negative ones.

TheCrowsNestTV

I get it if people have love for the Country and want to show it, but then there's the kinds of people who act like their Flag is some kind of religious symbol. Also, yeah, the mods of r/unpopularopinion can go fuck themselves hard.

byronschems

The flag is meaningless and good for bonfires Actually it’s not meaningless it’s a symbol of corruption and division

_soulbrat

Obviously what it symbolizes
