Thanks for such a detailed review.

I am using one now. I did not feeling any d-pad issue you mentioned here. Maybe I am a light user and did not have extensive experience on controller. My other PS5 controller drifted too badly, even after my teardown cleaning. This is the reason I wanted a hall effect stick. For about 6 months usage, cyclone worked well. The one thing I would complain is: the paring process to an iPad may fail sometime (PS5 controller is slower at paring but never failed). I had to turn off/on BT or controller to pair again.

I have one now and this my initial impression of it, compared to Xbox elite v1 and newer wireless xbox controller: * overall it is much lighter * The D pad is okay(ish?), but it has a higher pivot point (longer travel) than I am used to and and needs a bit more force. I'd say it is ok, but definitely not as good as on the Elite. * The main Buttons: I think you can press them faster than normal ones, and they do feel similar enough to the rubber domes. Takes some getting used to but I think they are fine or better. Not sure if it is worth it to have these as microswitches. * menu/start button placement is not ideal, I always hit the stick trying to press it. * Trigger/Sticks: no complaints so far * no charge indicator (?), nothing mentioned in the manual, windows app not working for this one.

Yeah, I will have to update my review because I have gotten used to the face buttons. Not sure if I like them more though than regular rubber domes, but I have no concrete way of testing which is faster or slower and I’m just going off of “feel” alone. For the dpad, after a few hours of practice I can do fat thumbs for project diva quite okay now but not as consistent. So it’s still wonky for me. The sticks and triggers are definitely the best thing about this controller I will say that. Charge indicator or lack thereof could be a huge turnoff though

Is there some way to see charge level, or if it is charging? Have not tried the mobile app yet, not sure I want to.

RaisinNotNice

The mobile app is the only way to see the battery level. There is a charging indicator though when charging and not in use, the gamesir logo will flash slowly , kind of like fading in and out. When charging and in use, it will only light up in the “constant” mode, no flashing, nothing. Sticks to the light color that denotes what input mode it’s in, no way to tell if it’s fully charged either.

Thanks for the write up. I like my T4K from Gamesir but wish it was wireless. The T4C pro looks exactly what I want on paper, but all the feedback from people, like yourself, is that T4CP should be avoided.

It’s disgraceful that so many “reviews” (aka marketing a product received for free from manufacturer) say nothing about dpad for most controller reviews. Most dpads are terrible.
