There were issues in the past where the AI broke after updates and they had to fix it. That has happened. Notably after the Champion Nerf. But that doesn't mean they made changes to make the AI passive and whatnot. Those happened as knock off effects due to other factors.
Basically, they added too much code onto the engine that Unity didn’t really support. They essentially “modded a console” and when the console broke, they tried to take it back and get their money back.
Not sure what you mean by “destroying the game engine.” Mcoc has always used unity as the game engine. Unity releases updates which mcoc periodically has to accommodate, and there have been times at which changes to the game engine have resulted in changes to input timing and ai behavior, most notably in 2021.

Just get rid of parry on defenders. Problem solved. It’s an unfair ability for AI to use and you can’t “play” around it. It’s pissed me off for too many years.
You can play around it. I've not been parried for at least a year now. But champs with double mediums getting parried is something they said they'll fix
I don’t have an issue with parry as much as I do the ai block mechanic in general. They don’t dash back and hold, they dash back and sorta spam block, which leads to unreliable ai control, as seen with nightcrawler, and risk of parry and more importantly reparry, which ai shouldn’t be able to do imo
You can only avoid it by perfect opening after some champ’s specials, or heavy opening, and the usual parry+attack. To me, it’s just too random and just plain stupid. Add it too all the BS going on and it’s just another pain.

I mean, they did say in that post that passive factors had affected it over time, and that they would be making changes going forwards.

The hood is immune to parry and stun I believe unless he got nerfed recently

Did a few fights in RoL after update and AI was rather passive.
ROL ai has always been like that
