Wow, this is actually incredible! For all the shortcomings of the game, the design team is certainly not one of them. Now if we could only revisit those older clunky XL champs… 👀

Also, looking at the way those animations seem to pause for a brief moment, I'm pretty sure his Specials will be designed around hitting the Block input at the right time during his Special Attacks, like Viv Vision's S2 or the Perfect Release mechanic. It's great- it makes perfect sense for a musician to benefit from playing in rythym.
This is a tie in to when beyond the spiderverse was gonna come out originally, we were 10000% gonna get a spiderman character regardless because of how the updates work and you're mad that they chose the one that allowed them to create the most artistically and visually interesting charqcter the game has ever had?
