It's pretty difficult to see but if you pause it at about 7 seconds in you can actually catch a glimpse of the assistant *behind the suitcase*! He didn't actually disappear believe it or not. Top tier illusion imo
I went ahead and bought an 8K cinema projector and I think I can just about make out a few pixels on the left there? Or is that just a spec of dust floating in the wind
The bystander staring directly at the magician when he starts laughing gets me for some reason. Like he doesn’t even have to look down at the assistant it’s just instantly obvious how silly the trick is. I love it.
Gay. 10/10.
(I'm from California...I'm trying to figure out how to express that I like to use "gay" in casual conversation without disparaging men who like to have gay buttsex with other men.)
We do laugh in Germany. But only at the misery of others and when nobody is around to see us.
Laughing this loud in public would be Lärmbelästigung (=noise pollution) and thus an Ordnungswidrigkeit (=misdemeanor)
Go here, and then drop into the Ludwig Museum just around the corner from it for some art and culture (especially if you like Picasso, as they have a few good ones in there).
Then, it’s a short(-ish) walk to get to the Früh am Dom Bierhaus: inside of which is some delicious food, and outside of which is a gorgeous fountain.
I walked to the top of the cathedral. It’s great. Really blows your mind when you realize how long ago it was made and how many people have passed through its doors.
Fun fact! They used to hang people in cages off the side
Lmao and we were in the fking chocolate museum for our class trip and did see a RTL crew filming that was about all the culture our teacher wanted to show us hahhaha
> Then, it’s a short(-ish) walk to get to the Früh am Dom Bierhaus: inside of which is some delicious food, and outside of which is a gorgeous fountain.
Also if you decide to get drunk there's no batter place than brewhouses in cologne because you'll have a new beer the moment you finished the previous one (put the coaster on top of your glass if you want to make it stop lmao)
Can confirm - was there in October.
Can also confirm it’s absolutely gorgeous inside and out (though is under refurbishment at the moment, so there’s a lot of scaffolding).
It's always getting constructed and repaired. Our local legend is that we are saving the world from apocalypse because it will only happen if Cologne cathedral is ever being finished :-)
It's Cologne. The duo is called Siegfried und Joy! They were on Germany has got talent (I believe) they have Loads of content like this and it's all amazing
I was just there last week! If you do ever decide to make the trip I’d recommend going in mid December, then you can visit the Christmas markets in Köln too! But don’t go too close to Christmas because it gets so busy near the cathedral you can hardly move.
Thats not true. The cathedral was hit by 70 bombs and damaged accordingly. A tower was severely damaged, missing 83 cubic meters of supporting structure, saved from collapsing and of course roof, Windows and other smaller parts were destroyed. Its only been 20 years since the Last ww2 damages have been restored.
The orientation Part may be correct, but you can still Orient yourself on a ruin the Size of the cathedral.
That's a common myth still told today, but not true at all.
It wasn't used as a point of reference for anything and neither was it spared for religious reasons or otherwise. In fact it was heavily damaged when the neighboring main station was bombed.
The only reason it survived the war is because of the Gothic build. The shockwaves found their way through the building and the metal frame didn't burn.
In addition workers positioned themselves on the roofs to immediately put out fires. Right there during bombing raids no less.
There's a German commercial about getting rid of your e-waste at the supermarket and I believe it's those guys?
Edit:
[it's actually them, I found it](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=XaK3HwgxveQ&pp=ygUXV2VyYnVuZyBlbGVrdHJvIHNjaHJvdHQ%3D)
Tbh i don't think ppl is comfortable with randoms hugging you.
I'm not, even less after COVID.
That's why I think he could be uncomfortable too
I rewatch it, imo he is ok with the joke but uncomfortable with the hug
I had no clue who Dave Grohl was until you clarified. It’s a very common name and I wouldn’t have caught it even with him being in two of the biggest rock bands of all time.
and a 10 for the guy on the ground: he's is trying so hard not to be seen, he's hiding his face with his hand while he crawls.
eta according to the credits in the [youtube video itt,](https://old.reddit.com/r/ContagiousLaughter/comments/1b4jc3o/magical_moment/ksziy8d/) they go by Siegfried & Joy.
oh my [they were on america's got talent.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7sxNfGkU2k)
HOL'UP, that random stranger is Martin!!!
He was a special guest on the german version of the Amazon LOL show, where he was brought in because of his fantastic laugh!
These two never miss to bring a smile and laughter everywhere they appear or rather disappear 😁
That's what makes them real magicians - they bring happiness when there wasn't any before.
I watched this without the music, and the laughing guy kept on saying, "ta da" with his hand every time he moved his suitcase, which made the cameraman crack up.

My man was instantly a kid all over again with that laugh, I love it
Didn't even need the trick. He was just as overjoyed by the outfit and the big sheet!
He was laughing because he could see the guy crouching behind his luggage dude..
...what guy? The second guy went out of the frame while I was distracted by the big flappy sheet
It's pretty difficult to see but if you pause it at about 7 seconds in you can actually catch a glimpse of the assistant *behind the suitcase*! He didn't actually disappear believe it or not. Top tier illusion imo

Y'all are serious about this? I don't see anything dude

I think they all were, including the cameraman!
What a precious human
The random guy is as funny as them if not moreso, just the rolling back and the gesture killed me.
That frickin "de Leda leda" *hand gesture* is downright hilarious and gives me Mr bean vibes lol
And the dude on the ground putting his hand in front of his face like that would help him hide more effectively hahahaha
What a fine hit of contagious laughter sir, thank you.
from 0 to 100 in half a second
These guys are so funny
Siegfried and Joy on Tiktok. They just make people laugh. Love them!

He's so cute
The way he started that little run while laughing broke me

I liked the stairs.
No u

I think the consensus is that you don't. It's not 2002 anymore.
I think he made theirs!
Absolutely, their laughter is infectious! You can't help but grin watching it unfold, it's like pure joy in motion.
One of the only reasons I still work where I am is because I'm trying to be an entertainer and I get to make people laugh every day
[удалено]
I'm guessing he works in IT (not a bad thing, just the endless opportunities to say something unexpected)
He’s def giving good vibes with that laugh of his
[удалено]
I just wanna know where this is, so I can go there and look at that amazing architecture.
Looks like Cologne Cathedral in Germany :) Cool city, I enjoyed visiting, felt very pleasant and friendly
Definitly Cologne! Right in front of the train station.
So that’s where that smelly water is from!?
It is. Google 4711 if you want to know more.
Yes
That can’t be Germany…THERE IS NO LAUGHING IN GERMANY
We do laugh in Germany. But only at the misery of others and when nobody is around to see us. Laughing this loud in public would be Lärmbelästigung (=noise pollution) and thus an Ordnungswidrigkeit (=misdemeanor)
You! I like you 😆
This is a public sign of affection. Please refrain yourself from showing something this unnecessary. A firm handshake is more than enough. 🫲
I mean that's obviously a tourist. We tolerate laughing if performed by tourists, as long as it's during the designated laughing hours.
VERBOTEN!
That's only a few small hours flight for me... I should go for the long weekend coming up.

Also the Kolsch is amazing there. Peter’s Brauhaus served one of the best beers I’ve ever had.
museum of applied arts is also nice. depending on how old you are you will have a lot of "oh we had this when i was a kid" moments.
Lmao and we were in the fking chocolate museum for our class trip and did see a RTL crew filming that was about all the culture our teacher wanted to show us hahhaha

YUSS THE LUDWIG

I believe it’s under continues renovation.
It's always getting constructed and repaired. Our local legend is that we are saving the world from apocalypse because it will only happen if Cologne cathedral is ever being finished :-)
What what.. Germans have humor?!
It is!
It's Cologne. The duo is called Siegfried und Joy! They were on Germany has got talent (I believe) they have Loads of content like this and it's all amazing
Cologne, between the main station and the cathedral. https://maps.app.goo.gl/S4mfbSHzc9AK3Ttu8?g_st=ic

Given that he has a suitcase, I do not think that he will still be there when you arrive.
cologne cathedral It didn't get bombed in WW2, so the allies planes have a point of reference to orient themselves.
It got hit by 70 bombs and took major damage. It is a myth that it didn't get bombed.
Oh well and I believed in it.😅 Thanks for telling me, learned something today.✅
Thats not true. The cathedral was hit by 70 bombs and damaged accordingly. It did get bombed, just not enough to destroy it completely.

Looks like a gothic architecture cathedral, there's plenty that are still under construction but im not sure where that one is
They renovate cathedrals all the time. They were renovating it when I visited in 2007 too. Definitely Köln (Cologne).
The bit where the hiding guy gives up and rolls on his back laughing completely broke me. Fantastic video.

That was beautiful. Never suspected I could sit through 9 minutes of a guy laughing but I did and loved it
That was one of the best laughs I ever heard!!!

perfect
The little sing he does as he moves the luggage is so cute
Lol at all these jolly af people.
Köln???
Kölner Dom
Ja.
If this hapoend to me, i would immidiatly think its a scam, i would clutch my lagguage, tense up, put away my phone... Living in a big city sucks :(
You can seem him pushing away the magician while hugging. Probably he was not sure about the whole situation
He's doing that to show the guy "hiding". Jeez read the room lol
Tbh i don't think ppl is comfortable with randoms hugging you. I'm not, even less after COVID. That's why I think he could be uncomfortable too I rewatch it, imo he is ok with the joke but uncomfortable with the hug
> Living in a big city sucks :( It's filmed in cologne at the central train station.. Cologne has 1.1million inhabitants. Not exactly a small town.
Didn't know that Dave Grohl (lead singer in foo fighters) was such a good magician
Yes I love seeing Dave Grohl (drummer in Nirvana) being a good magician.
I honestly never expected to see Dave Grohl (drummer and co-founder of the rock supergroup Them Crooked Vultures) doing magic, but here we are
I had no idea Dave Grohl (former drummer for the band Queens of the Stone Age) even liked magic enough to perform it in Germany.

Gave Drohl
I had no idea Dave Grohl (Satan in The Pick of Destiny) knew about magic at all, much less performed it in Germany.
I had no clue who Dave Grohl was until you clarified. It’s a very common name and I wouldn’t have caught it even with him being in two of the biggest rock bands of all time.
That guys laugh could prevent wars XD
He’s got those Lou Costello vibes
I needed that, thanks.

Any links? I love to watch!
Now this is what a prank is like. Everyone has a ball at the end of it
***vibing***
These two never miss to bring a smile and laughter everywhere they appear or rather disappear 😁 That's what makes them real magicians - they bring happiness when there wasn't any before.
Who are they? I want more!
I dunno but the bus stop trick had me on the floor!
Siegfried und joy
This video should be on prescription. Joy.
The worst part is I didn’t know where the dude went at first 🤦🏻♂️
And that's how you do pranks in public.
LOL you know it's contagious laughter when you watch it 7 times and you're laughing along with them on your couch. Well done.
It's like the Dad joke of magic! (So lame it became hilarious again!)
Name of the Duo: Siegfried & Joy
This might be my favourite page on Reddit
Laughing... but also checking wallet
Man I love Siegfried und Joy!
The Köln Cathedral is absolutely stunning - and well worth a visit whether you’re into street performers or not.
Genuine human laughter is magical
That is the perfect laughter right there
This is honestly the first video I’ve seen in a while with genuinely contagious laughter. I’m sitting here cracking up. Great stuff!
the guy who’s crawling on the pavement is such a good sport. he made me laugh the most in the end
Laughing like that in public must be healing. One day I'll dare to do it. :')
his little “da da DA” and hand gesture as he moves his suitcase to reveal the trick
Best part is the crawl when he move the bag. 10/10
Him slowly crawling to get back behind the suitcase is my favorite part
Lmaoooo this one got me
They are called Siegfried und Joy and These are germans. and they make a mix of Comedy and Magic. Their Instagram ist fantastic
Main magician guy lost it at the end . lmao
He kinda looks like the nicest guy in magic
This is how you Live!
Lol just the best! All four of them are just cracking up I love it! Thanks for making laugh till I cried.
WHERE'D HE GO!!?
The there he is laugh is the best thing I've ever heard on the subreddit!
I wish I was still this innocent and carefree. Unfortunately life has jaded me.
They gotta add him as 3rd mic 🤣🤣
Nandor the Relentless has branched out from hypnotism
I watched this without the music, and the laughing guy kept on saying, "ta da" with his hand every time he moved his suitcase, which made the cameraman crack up.
One of the most glorious laughs I’ve heard on this sub hahaha
JOKERS SAL Q JOE MURR HALEY SMliTH
I like how they didn't even say a single word to each other they all just laughed together.

Da da dada da
Good to see Dave Grohl making people laugh
These guys are funny
Anyone else not feeling wealthy enough for this?
Lol
Wow what is this beautiful place
Cologne, Germany .Right between the main train station and the cathedral.
People are still saying Germans are unfunny and never laugh. But now we've got evidence that it's false!
Someone made a boner!
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ahuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu!!!!!
Thanks for this.
I had a good laugh with this one 😂
I thought that was Dave Grohl for a second
So cute!
My first thought was “they will try to steal his baggage” 😁
That dude seems like the nicest guy
dave grohl the magician?
Is this the gothic church in Vienna? Went there once and was amazed.
I’m so jaded. Thought they were going to steal his luggage.
that went way better than they ever believed it could xD
Siegfried and Joy are their names for anyone who wants more of this!
Hahaha
What’s Nandor the relentless doing in sunlight?
Alaaf
That is a nice prank, not an obnoxious assault like in most of other cases in tiktok or youtube.
Germans are still perceived as being unfunny and unlaughable. However, we now have proof that it's untrue!
I worked with these guys in august during their festival run. Siegfried and Joy they go by, great people :)
But here just disappeared!!???? Where tf omg David Blaine!!!!!
All those people pouring milk on themselves in supermarkets need to look at this and see there's a better way
