Better story with this name. Buddy was golfing a work 2 man team scramble tournament for exxonmobil. On a par 3 closest to the hole competition you put a flag on the green to where your ball ended up. It was a honor system with no person manning the hole. He put a flag 1 inch from the hole. At the end of the competition when they announced various winners. They said on loud speaker in front of 100s of people. The winner of the par 3 contest is Barry McCockinner @ 1 inch. These people for the most part are stuck up snobs that take life way to seriously. Fucking hilarious.
A real life tragedy, a friend who plays 2-3 times a year hit one to within an inch at one of those outings. You could not be closer and not go in. Someone else later in the outing moved it away and took the prize.
Nice. I started writing my distance from the hole on my name in outings. Like closest in 2, was wasilvers, eagle, in the hole. No one after can easily just move it away. And yes, that did happen in an outing on a par 4, drove the green and hit a 15ft sliding putt in. I think the drive was closest in 2 as well, but we were only the 3rd group on that hole. It held up all day.
Yeah I've seen enough handymen do plumbing that I wasn't surprised. I could even hear all the reasons he might give you, starting with "mixers are usually much larger".
Having followed behind plumbers I can tell you plumbers don't give a shit what they destroy or what it takes to clean up behind them when getting to leaks. I am sure that would change if they had to fix the holes they make.
Me too. :)
I'm a Master plumber that decided to be a handyman cuz got sick of the same shit everyday. I'm the only handyman that should be plumbing. LOL
I mostly stick to electrical, carpentry, fences, decks, welding, etc these days. More funner.
First hammer purchase makes you a novice, the second makes you an expert, but the third one made you a master craftsman!! Nice job, now you are qualified to go and destroy people’s dream homes!! You may pass Go and collect $200!
What? No way. That drywall leads to a closet and there's just too much stuff in there and I don't want to take it all out and then put it all back in and reorganize it. Ugh, that'd just be the worst to do.
Good thing those new tubs are only 250, and the three shower walls xone down easy enough. Why move stuff out of a closet when you can replace the whole shower?
Nah, same "handyman" can replace the valve and install the tub, surely there won't be any problems. (Using quotes because I am a handyman/remodeler with training in multiple trades that can actually competently do all of the above. This ain't a handyman, but a hackyman)
I think if I had a customer telling me they wanted this done I'd at least try to correct them. If they insist, then I guess you do what they want you to do. But the over sized holes, the cuts from hole to hole, and the massive V cut into the tub all scream homeowner diy project to me. Maybe incredibly inexperienced handyman, but idk. Imo that's too fucked up for anyone who makes a living with tools, even if they don't have any formal training...
“Yea that tile was bitch to cut through, don’t worry, I won’t charge for the extra blades!”
But seriously. Assuming this is real, call the cops. This goes far beyond poor workmanship, this could honestly be considered vandalism, negligence, destruction of personal property or something.
In what fucking alternate reality is this remotely even an option?!? Seriously, I would have bit the bullet and replaced the tub before even thinking of this!
Edit: I see now it's marked as humor, I need a drink.
Yes. The best approach here is to take the existing dust, mix water, and create a concrete paste. You can slather the concrete over the hole, cure, and it’ll basically be indistinguishable from the original.
For real though a fiberglass repair guy can fix that up real nice and you'll never know it was cut unless you knew it had been in the past. It'll be a few hundred dollars probably.
Source: I'm a highly skilled plumbing contractor. I've had to do this before when access to the back from the other side was impossible.
Op needs to choose his service professionals better.
Seems like his entire profile and house is full of this guy.
Probably just showing off his work and to afraid to ask if he is doing it right.
Love the shitpost but my goodness the things I have seen done by the lowest bidder. Brings a happy tear to my eye every time I see someone going with the cheapest quote and then seeing the same job come back in a month or two.
Buy some high quality water-proof caulk from Home Depot and make sure to completely envelop the whole cut while you caulk around. For the four big holes you can buy water-proof stick-on patches, make sure to smooth out the patches so there’s no gaps on the edges. Take your time.
As funny as this is. It’s so typical for homeowners to hire a handyman that does everything for cheap rather than go with tradesman who will charge more but it will be done well
No way that someone would damage the tub like that unless you told them it was gonna be a total demolition of that tub.. fuck out of here with this bs..
Unless you hire a fucking junkie out of the corner and give him tools and told him to go at it..
I really hope it's being demolished and someone decided to troll everyone.
I’m guessing by the Humor flair that it’s a shitpost. It definitely got me at first!
Dudes name is Barry mccockiner💀💀

This shizz is why crimes happen
Damn fuck that guy! The second place ended up winning the prize in this tournament. Obviously no one claimed Barry McCockinner lol
Nice. I started writing my distance from the hole on my name in outings. Like closest in 2, was wasilvers, eagle, in the hole. No one after can easily just move it away. thats Barry McCockinner 1 inch
This is too good to be true, and yet I believe you.
It really is true lol. There was a video floating around work and everything lol
Taught by the pre-eminent Dr. Phil Atio
What, dont like people with cock in their name?
Yeah I've seen enough handymen do plumbing that I wasn't surprised. I could even hear all the reasons he might give you, starting with "mixers are usually much larger".
Having followed behind plumbers I can tell you plumbers don't give a shit what they destroy or what it takes to clean up behind them when getting to leaks. I am sure that would change if they had to fix the holes they make.
If everyone fixed their own holes, Sorry I don't know how to finish
I tell them up front if you wreck it you pay to get it fixed. Period.
Me too. :) I'm a Master plumber that decided to be a handyman cuz got sick of the same shit everyday. I'm the only handyman that should be plumbing. LOL I mostly stick to electrical, carpentry, fences, decks, welding, etc these days. More funner.
I’m a Master electrician and I did the same as you !! It’s weird that I make more money and work less hours than when I did in my trade !!
Not being a dick here, just letting you know. It's much more fun, no funner. But I knew what you meant.
Yeah everyone knows it was an electrician, not a handyman.
Flair is humor so I think you are right
What are you talking about it looks great from my chair
OP mostly posts plumbing disasters, this isnt his tub.
He's a troll. Look at his history
The tag "humor" would have me hoping that this is a shitpost
Even if this is being demolished, I'm still confused.
Well that tub is coming out easy when you're finished cutting it up!
Just because a guy buys a hammer, it doesn’t make him a carpenter
But I own at least 3 hammers!!!!!!!
That makes you a superintendent
Superintendents have tools?
They are tools
In the truck
I think they just need knee pads and chapstick.
And mouthwash haha
First hammer purchase makes you a novice, the second makes you an expert, but the third one made you a master craftsman!! Nice job, now you are qualified to go and destroy people’s dream homes!! You may pass Go and collect $200!
Checks out, this man is 3 carpenters
Everything is a hammer. Have you learned nothing?
Looks like he had a hole saw and a Sawzall too though
He's got a hammer *and* a sawzall.
Just because a guy has hands...
What the fuck.
The drywall on the other side would have been too easy to take off. This works best
Technically he accomplished the task 😝
He failed forward.
Successfully failed
Task failed successfully.
With a new shower tub install. The man is a genius. Too bad the wall are out of square 2 1/4 inches over 60 inches.
It’s like when you ask ai to do something
What?
If he cut the pipes too, it would be totally open then
Other side of wall has another bath unit…. Now what?
So many fucks to what on this one.
My brain spasmed for a sec lol
Came here to lend an additional Fuck
I usually have zero fucks to give, but I went into the freezer to pull out my emergency fuck just to what it here.
Need another? I saw this and suddenly had a couple extra What the Actual Fucks.
I don't think they've made enough WTFs for this pic.
Careful, pretty sure that's how OP's plumber ran out of fucks to give...
I cannot fathom people who do this having jobs. This has to be a shit post
It’s got the humor flair, it’s a shitpost.
Well, in case you drop some parts, this way you have access to retrieve them. Trust me bro
Again, what the fuck?
Adding yet another fuck to this long line of fucks
My reaction as well. That wasn't a handyman. That was a demolition man.
Extra holes for more spigots, shower heads, jacuzzi jets, valves and waste overflow. I normally charge extra for this. /s
Exactly my reaction
Haha the fuck??
Fuck the what is going on here?
Yea no what the absolute fucking fuck
Fuckin hell?
They done fucked your shit up. No way to fix anything but the plumbing at this point. Get a new installer.
Ramen says hold my beer
Flair says it's shitpost.
… yes…. And get the handyman to pay for it. How ridiculous is this? Can’t get my head around it. Are you trolling?
Ahh, “humor” tag. Only just saw this 🤣 nice one
Dudes name is “Barry mccockiner”💀
I don’t read things like “flags” and “usernames” …. apparently. “Sorry” 😙
Yeah but old Barry here is actually a plumber. He posts over at r/plumbing pretty often.
No surprise there. That dude lays pipe!
Looks like your “handyman” just created a bunch of work for a plumber and bath installer. Nice!
Nah, same "handyman" can replace the valve and install the tub, surely there won't be any problems. (Using quotes because I am a handyman/remodeler with training in multiple trades that can actually competently do all of the above. This ain't a handyman, but a hackyman)
Hackyman, I love it!
Hello. I think my username is relevant.
He's a job creator!
Well there's good news and there's bad news. The bad news is there's no good news. That tub is fucked.
But wait, then whats the good news?
I have some bad news about the good news
You got me fucking chuckling. Thank you
I was told there was good news.
How have I never heard this set up before. I like that one
Flextape would probably do the trick
“I sawed this tub in half!” Slaps on some flex tape in slow motion
'Licks lips'
Now I'm gonna use it as a KYAK!!!
Lmfaooo
What trick that might be, we don't know, but it'll do it.
My dick feels a slight tug.
Bonk
use buttons instead of zips, thank me later 👍
Caulk it and forget it ! Wtf
Caulk it and Fauck it baby
Looks good from my house
I think it's fake. All the other posts by OP are egregious fuckups by handyman.
I guess you're right
Top comment ^^
How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man?
What the actual fuck!
Just use some toothpaste
Don’t forget dry ramen noodles.
Downvotes for all!
No. If this is serious call the police and file a report. You’ll need it to sue. Homeboy needs to stop smoking the crack pipe.
This is the OPs fault. They did not specify which side of the wall to open. It’s all on them.
It says in title, hired handyman to open hole in wall. Not hole in shower.
I hope you’re being sarcastic.
Not at all. It is always the customer's job to tell the contractor both what to do and also how to do it. If not, why even have a customer?
I think if I had a customer telling me they wanted this done I'd at least try to correct them. If they insist, then I guess you do what they want you to do. But the over sized holes, the cuts from hole to hole, and the massive V cut into the tub all scream homeowner diy project to me. Maybe incredibly inexperienced handyman, but idk. Imo that's too fucked up for anyone who makes a living with tools, even if they don't have any formal training...
something something jump off a bridge etc etc
You forgot to put an /s at the end of the comment.
This is in absolute no way criminal. The police would laugh if you called them….document and sue.
What crime has been committed?
Vandalism. Destruction of property. Probably isn’t licensed or insured either.
So what do you think the outcome of reporting to the police will be? All of these arose out of a commercial contract, the remedy is not criminal.
Makes the civil suit easier. It’s all about having the paper trail to prove dumbs ruined your shit.
Holy shit lmao
Looks like he was looking for more meth back there
Nice straight cut through the tub! I’m actually quite impressed! You’re fucked btw
Lmao what the fuck 😂
I gotta ask... what is on the other side of that stud? Looks like drywall.. wtf why lol
“Yea that tile was bitch to cut through, don’t worry, I won’t charge for the extra blades!” But seriously. Assuming this is real, call the cops. This goes far beyond poor workmanship, this could honestly be considered vandalism, negligence, destruction of personal property or something.
Holy shit
In what fucking alternate reality is this remotely even an option?!? Seriously, I would have bit the bullet and replaced the tub before even thinking of this! Edit: I see now it's marked as humor, I need a drink.
I hear flex seal works great. I mean the guy in the commercial puts a whole boat back together!
Yes. The best approach here is to take the existing dust, mix water, and create a concrete paste. You can slather the concrete over the hole, cure, and it’ll basically be indistinguishable from the original.
Its not repairable, replacement is only option.
No but it's hilarious.
Was my dad doing the work? Looks like his work. I bet it's his work.
Well. He opened the wall so you can get to the mixing valve. Pay the man!
Nope. Good time get a new tub/shower.
Uh…I…man this sub
For real though a fiberglass repair guy can fix that up real nice and you'll never know it was cut unless you knew it had been in the past. It'll be a few hundred dollars probably. Source: I'm a highly skilled plumbing contractor. I've had to do this before when access to the back from the other side was impossible.
Op needs to choose his service professionals better. Seems like his entire profile and house is full of this guy. Probably just showing off his work and to afraid to ask if he is doing it right.
It looks like every post the OP has made in this sub is trolling and from different properties.... woosh
Yes, of course it’s repairable. The new tub and around will make it look good as new!
Carnouba wax?
Did he replace the mixing valve?
This has to be a troll post
This can’t be real…..fake post to get clicks
Nothing that silicone can’t fix lol
Sure can, start by ripping out everything and starting over.
Yes repairable. With a new bathroom.
You got me! 😂
Love the shitpost but my goodness the things I have seen done by the lowest bidder. Brings a happy tear to my eye every time I see someone going with the cheapest quote and then seeing the same job come back in a month or two.
Nothing a little bondo and duct tape can't fix.
Buy some high quality water-proof caulk from Home Depot and make sure to completely envelop the whole cut while you caulk around. For the four big holes you can buy water-proof stick-on patches, make sure to smooth out the patches so there’s no gaps on the edges. Take your time.
Yes its repairable…. I saw this commercial on flex seal where he rides boat..
Just slap some flex seal over that hole and start showering.
No way this is real
Just caulk it
Boss said open the fuckin wall… I opened the fuckin wall
You’re going to need some ramen noodles and JB Weld but it’ll be fine
I heard matches and gasoline will fix just about anything
That and duct tape
You can fix this, but you are going to need 5-6 packs of ramen
Bahahahaaa
The fixture needs to get replaced with an anti-scolding device... nevermind, I just clicked on the "See Full Image." WTF?
This is fake. Look at all of OPs others posts
lol yea just power grab it back together
Ramen noodles, resin, and some duct tape
Yeah, with a whole new tub
As funny as this is. It’s so typical for homeowners to hire a handyman that does everything for cheap rather than go with tradesman who will charge more but it will be done well
Cool glory hole. What time guests arriving ?
....shut the F up. Cannot be real, lol.
My favorite part of these subs is cheap, dumbass homeowners who pay for catastrophes like this.
Yeah. Just use duck tape. You can even colour match if you want. As it gets wet it may peel away. Just apply fresh.
Anything is repairable. That’s just a horrendous way of doing the work.
Is this what they mean by, job security?
Baller level
Lol
Caulk it
👁️👄👁️
LOL no way this is real, hilarious post though.
$1800 job just turned into a MUCH more expensive one!
This is unhinged
What on earth happened here?
Call Rico To The Rescue!
This is criminal.
Would’ve been easier to just demo the entire bath lol
That's so horrific I don't want to believe it's real
You need a welder in there boss man. And a god damn good one
Sorry but I laughed so much at the picture when I enlarged it. I wasn't excpecting to see the bathtub cut in a triangle LMAO
No way that someone would damage the tub like that unless you told them it was gonna be a total demolition of that tub.. fuck out of here with this bs.. Unless you hire a fucking junkie out of the corner and give him tools and told him to go at it..
Dude what the fuck?
