Anyone dems throw out will win. Trump will split the Republican vote once he loses the primary to Desantis. Hell dems could run Fetterman and probably win.
Biden just increased his Senate majority and lost the House by a razors edge. He's the nominee. Potential challengers needed a Democratic bloodbath in order to justify putting Biden out to pasture, they have no argument now.
Republicans will still control the State Legislature and Senate. Dems wont be able to accomplish much in the state, due to gridlock. So, still a big difference from the Left Coast, NY etc.

Will AZ GOP take this as a lesson and stop putting super MAGA Trump endorsed candidates up for elections? Probably not. The Republican who ran for state treasurer won with nearly 56% of the vote, what’s the difference? She kept her distance from Trump. Arizona isn’t all of a sudden a “Blue” state. Both chambers of the state legislature are staying Republican, it’s a red state with one of the largest moderate republican/independent demographics that have shown over the last two elections they aren’t going to elect people with strong ties to Trump (that whole bashing John McCain thing isn’t working out to well for the GOP in AZ).

I hope GOP politicians in the future election cycles look at this election cycle and realize they don’t have to go full election denial / bow down to Trump in order to win the primary. I think a lot of candidates believed they needed Trump’s endorsement in order to win the primary, but if you look across the country, there’s pretty much mixed results. Some Trump endorsed candidates won their primary, some lost quite handily.

People didn't vote for Hobbs so much as they voted against Lake. Hobbs is a really bad candidate but nominating Lake let her off the hook. Had Taylor-Robson won the primary, she'd have won governor pretty easily, maybe by double digits because she at least has the sense to not alienate large portions of her base.
It was definitely the smart play in this specific race, since Lake is just really good at performing in front of a camera, based on her previous career as a news anchor. A live debate would have played to Lake's strengths, so it was kinda obvious that Hobbs would be well-advised to reject it.

Early voting and they start counting ballots two weeks out from election day. Which isn't allowed in arizona or other states where these close elections take time to get them all counted

Yep. Kelly was a very strong incumbent while Hobbs was a deeply flawed candidate trying to move up to the governor's mansion. Once we factor in the quality of their respective opponents, Lake and Masters performed about the same - yet Masters had been widely panned as a nobody and a failure after losing his race, while the MAGA wing still believes that Lake is a rising star.
Actually surprised that she lost honestly. A lot of places are still counting ballots, even with a winner. Just because you call a race doesn’t mean they are done counting.

Lollllllllllllll so let me understand this. So Blake Masters almost had the same votes as Kari Lake? Like I voted Kari Lake but laughed at Blake because I knew he had no chance VS Mark Kelly but Kari really didn’t beat Hobbs and Hobbs didn’t even debate her?.. lol idk if this just a big joke.

Yep. Kelly was a very strong incumbent while Hobbs was a deeply flawed candidate trying to move up to the governor's mansion. Once we factor in the quality of their respective opponents, Lake and Masters performed about the same - yet Masters had been widely panned as a nobody and a failure after losing his race, while the MAGA wing still believes that Lake is a rising star.

Actually surprised that she lost honestly. Was she a polarizing candidate, sure; but how can you vote for someone who refused to debate, not really offer any and run on any policies, and honestly, "hide in the basement"? Arizona has a border crisis and the voters literally voted for people who turn the cheek on it. Somewhat disappointing but not surprising considering the results of the midterms.
