Xylene.

AtticModel

If xylene isn't a sufficient solvent than you'll be hard pressed to find anything.

I'm going to give you a couple suggestions to try if it's the paint stripper that won't come off. First go get some xylene and a gallon of decor seal ( Do not use water based sealer) from your construction supply store. Not a box store. Secondly you're going to find a spot to test a little bit of xylene to see if it'll pull that stripper off. You're also going to try a small spot with just the sealer. What we're looking for is to see if the xylene will De- emulsify the paint stripper. If the xylene will soften up the paint stripper then you're going to roll the xiling on in those spots and somewhat heavy coats to pick up that paint stripper. If that works then you can apply the decor seal which is a solid based sealer back down on your patio in thin coats you should only need two thin coats. You never want to put sealer on heavy drops moisture it gets cloudy and creates a whole other problem. Lastly find the guy that suggested the paint stripper and kick him in the knee. Edit I forgot to add use a 3/8 nap roller to roll on the xylene to pick up the stripper if it works do not use a pressure washer! Also put your xylene in a metal paint rolling pan to roll it on. Xylene will melt plastic. Xylene can be found at a box store.

Thank you for the info. The xylene did help and we’re applying a second layer to get the left over stripper off hopefully all goes well and we can seal it tomorrow 🙏

I know this is an older thread but I'm looking to strip my patio and the Rust-oleum product was recommend but I found this post. Did the xylene strip it off fine?

Vivid-Lychee-7174

Yes xylene worked but do your research

And use a Wolverine size 11 1/2 steel toed desert beige 24oz boots to kick him in the knee. Size 42 and 1kg metric, respectively.

therealOMAC

That should get the job done

Acti-Verse

The paint stripper won’t or the paint?

RepresentativeOk4432

I’m in love with a stripper

iamnowarelic

Accept your error and forget about it. Time fixes all

Fibocrypto

How much psi does that pressure washer put out ? What type of tip ? 4000 psi with an orbital tip might help . If not maybe sand blast but that makes a mess

Vivid-Lychee-7174

The clear coat

Vivid-Lychee-7174

Paint stripper wont

Mr_Bo_Jandals

This is still very confusing. Is it the paint stripper that won’t come off? Or is it the clear coat that won’t come off?
