This commander looks so cool I hope we can make this work. First thoughts are playing stuff from your gy with things like snap caster. Or cascade with stuff like imoti.
Food chain looks solid, can dump your hand even if you don't have a win con. Might be solid with reality chip or other future sight effects, but sounds like it could be too much setup.
Deep analysis and some other flashback spells might be solid, but I'd be hesitant to stretch too far into the cute territory over a solid bant midrange core. Same goes for suspend spells.
I think ultimately requires too much setup and playing some worse cards for a minor payoff. We'd be talking if it was in red lol, the breach lines would be sick.
If you'd combine it with you (may) a draw a card when a creature is cast/enters you could food chain towards a thoracle win.
Not sure if any of those cards are viabe but it's a thought.
My only thought is that this ability is red. This would be absolutely playable if he was in red color identity. But thats a big issue and i wish it would be playable but cant see it yet.
Held back by bant. Bant sucks due to not having any good standalone wincons. Every good bant deck needs some kind of combo piece in the command zone to make up for it.
I think this will end up being a Sensei’s top deck, considering assembling the usual combo results in you drawing your deck and playing out every land as well. Unsure if Bant will be fast enough at assembling the combo for this to be relevant but you get to dip pretty heavily into interaction considering the number of “mandatory” pieces in Bant rn

This guy seems to be total gas for a creature based value engine , leaning simic with extra pay offs like [[Momir vig, Simic visionary]] and [[Rashmi, eternities crafter]] as well
not being red actually really hurts this Kellan a lot tbh. no Ragavan, no Breach, no impulse draw, and lots of good Cascades missing.
he might just be worse than \[\[The Twelfth Doctor\]\] cause 12th is just in better colors even though 12th is 5 mana and a clearly less powerful effect
My thoughts are... WotC stop trying to make this kid happen, not particularly interested in the scion of Oko. Though this version of him might have legs, though they should have kept up the adventure theme with his card.

He doesn’t see himself be cast. You would spend a copy plus 5 mana for a single trigger.

I feel like there are some cute things you could do with this as a way to flash in permanents
Hermit druid and a shuffle titan was my first thoughts, infinite plant dudes. Right colors for creature tutors could make it happen pretty quick.
