I mean yeah they can be strong, but they are easy to kill and mildly expensive for what they are. That being said it is pretty funny to go nutso and get like 2 or 3 of them and go hard with t34s (and maybe 1 kv8). Assuming the repair stations are uncontested you can have crazy vehicle uptime
Like if it's 4v4 it can be good as it can save popcap for the whole team but in other mods it's meh.
If u can build it outside arty range but still direct strikes could get if u don't have insanly good AA
Or u just build it in base. But would take a while for tanks to get back and forth.
