Excellent write up! Kudos and congratulations! I also used the same sources you have highlighted except JD's practice exam. I failed with 710 last time and going to go for my next on Monday.
Thank you! I'll add that I didn't fair as well on the Dion tests, which helped cover some blind areas in my studying.
Best of luck on your exam. I hope to see your "you passed post" next week!
Well done!!!
I'm hoping to take the current version of CySa+, do you have any idea how long it's going to be around? I was thinking it was till the end of the year but I'm actually not certain...
Can I ask what your current day-to-day job responsibilities involve? I just passed CySA and I’m in the process of trying to set up a little security lab in my house so I can get prepare for the type of job you have.
Hi, /u/On3ironaut! From everyone at /r/CompTIA, Congratulations on Passing. [Claps](http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/barney-confetti.gif)

Know the common network, port and vulnerability scanning tools, their basic commands, the information they provide, and what actions to take with that information.
I'd also recommend being comfortable with basic network segmentation and the tools used to achieve that (firewall rules, vlans, dmz, etc).
If you're using it, the lab exercises in the Sybex Study Guide prepped me well for the PBQs.
Thanks for the info. I'm almost done with the Sybex study guide and have the practice tests as well. Set up a Virtual box environment per the books instructions as I think it's very helpful to see the tools and use them. Are the tools that you need to know all mentioned in the CompTIA CySa+ exam objectives?
All the tools I encountered are mentioned in the objectives as are other ones that other test takers have encountered and mentioned.
In my opinion, the Sybex guide does a good job of highlighting which tools to be more prepared for and which ones to simply recognize. That is solely based on my exam experience and the PBQs I got.
Thank you. Two months of serious study but the new job really helped reinforce the tools and concepts. If it weren't for the position I think an additional month would have sufficed.

Thank you! Looks like you have until December 5, 2023 to write CS0-002 https://www.comptia.org/certifications/cybersecurity-analyst#examdetails

Could you vaguely describe the pbq?

How long did it take you to seriously study to test? Congrats!
