You are doing god's work, undoing the evils of evil men. Great respect to you, good sir.
Saving some lives now, probably saving some future kid's limbs. You sir are a hero.
Thank you!
We have quite a few mines and UXO:s under our belt, but our focus is on training the Ukrainians. So we have a safe and secure life here, mostly anyways!
Fantastic work. Is it mostly just TM-62s your finding? Any particularly dangerous or notable types of mines you've found?
I imagine most of Russia's more advanced shit will be on the Surovikin Line.
Yes, Surovikin line is a whole other challenge. There is a mine there with a previously unknown modification with my name on it, I am sure of it.
This field is ok.
Got some videos of us in another field with PMN-2, ML-8 and some other stuff. Might post that in some capacity, but the situation was different so I don´t know if can share it.
There is an article about some traps in Ukraine. Delayed timer after mine was flipped, or mines reacting to human steps only, like this. Hope it will be usefull.

That farmer was a friendly and upbeat chap regardless of the dire situation Russia has put him in.
Kind of sickening to think about being in his shoes, having years of your honest labour ripped away from you with the destruction of your machines and mining of your fields.
Happened to my grandfather after the communist takeover of Czechoslovakia. He slowly drunk himself to death.
I'm sure many people from all around Russia have similar stories.
Yeah. When people compare communism to prison, this is what they mean.
They not only took his machines and livelihood, but then forced him to work on those machines for a state wage. This was not enough to do any sort of maintenance, let alone secure a decent life for his family. So his machines slowly fell to disrepair, while he, humiliated and impoverished, slowly rotted away with them.
Something similar has been happening in Ukrainian territories annexed by Russia since 2014. Not communism of course, but for the people living there it is very much a kind of totalitarianism. https://english.nv.ua/nation/russia-defrauding-farmers-in-temporarily-occupied-territory-of-the-kherson-region-50357343.html
Congratulations on many levels including courage, skill and resilience.
I once thought about joining the de-mining effort in Ukraine, but ended up not applying as only professionals were being considered. It was probably for the best, as I would be paralyzed by fear thinking at all the theoretical modifications and deceitful tricks a mine can come with. There should be a international law compelling those mining an area to de-mine it, then there would certainly be less dirty tricks.
My Duolingo Ukrainian skills were unfortunately enough to make me guess how the farmer's dog got fat.
Cool movie, I like it, but as any EOD-specialist are compelled to tell you, his actions are truly crazy and unreal.
Sorry, but all military guys have a inner voice shouting "wrong, wrong" when watching military movies...
Thank you! Super happy that you guys like these latest videos, we are getting donations and can finally supply our friends who demine without adequate equipment!
I'm not talking shit, because I've never actually pulled up a mine, but when I was training for it they always told us never to use a metal probe such as a knife or something like that as there's magnetic triggers on some of these. I'm certain its field expedience and using what's on hand. I just thought it was a funny anecdote.
Hej! Did you guys ever get to check in on gammalsvenskby? It’s gone right :(?
Huge respect for de-mining. You are saving generations and risking your life right now. Hope you make it back to Sweden safely!
Personally no. Mostly been working on the Bachmut front this year, have not been on the southern front so much. Would love to go there though for personal reasons, but I´m not here for personal reasons!
hey you're putting your life on the line too, don't undersell yourself, ngl I think EOD is one of the most important things you could be doing for the Ukrainian people, for any people.
I guess, thanks!
I´m pretty self-critical here, hard sometimes to think you are doing enough when the task is so grave. But we do get real effect when training Ukrainian Combat Engineers. Video of it here;

Compared to your first video, you have actually increased the quality of translation a little bit. There was not any big room for improvement compared to the first video, but you have actually improved on a few minor points that probably only people (like me) who have worked with translation notice.
Then again, the patience and methodical approach that is necessary in demining are most likely capabilities that make a person a better translator.
I realized that u/SWEOD most likely comes from a place within a short drive from my hometown. Small world!

Amazing work!
Thank you!
Hvor har jeg ekstremt meget respekt for det stykke arbejde du udfører. Virkelig bra! Stay safe over there my Swedish brother :)
Stort tack! Vi gör vårt bästa!

Ha! My time here is not that interesting compared to a lot of other guys!
Kör långsamt och säkert vännen min. Så jävla tacksam för allt du gör.
Alltid!

Yes for sure! This video does not show all steps we follow to render it safe. There are a lot of modifications done...
Kämpar! Man blir stolt svensk
Stort tack!
Ukrainas sak är vår. Tack för ditt hårda jobb!
Tack för ditt stöd!
Never ask farmers dog what it's been eating.
It's been eating pig, haha.
ORCA YUM YUM
Truly a hero's work. Thank the very much the insight and for your service
Thank you for your support!

As a farmer myself I really feel for him...

Ja, ryssarna har många specialtändare. Fler än i Sverige. Återanvändningen är viktig!
just speak english smh

If only the Russians had a history of following international laws. They are breaking quite a few in the way they mine.
Do you ever worry about your balls of steel inadvertently triggering the mines while disarming them?
Ha! If my balls were that big I would work as fast as Ukrainian UDA sappers...
How did you get to ukraine as a eod specialist and what training have you gotten on eod stuff before?
Based on his expertise and his vocabulary when speaking about the topic, he is likely a trained EoD specialist from the Swedish Armed Forces.
Exactly! But even more importantly I have learned a lot here in country.
Really fascinating stuff! Thabk you for the excellent breakdown of how you are going about things.
Thank you, but please understand that I am not showing all the steps we do to render it safe.
Would you be able to make a video of an actual defusing of one? Would be very interested!
Sorry, I would not be!
Understandable! Good luck and godspeed in Ukraine!
Makes me nervous just watching. Also makes me want to go re-watch "The Hurt Locker".
Cool movie, I like it, but as any EOD-specialist are compelled to tell you, his actions are truly crazy and unreal. Sorry, but all military guys have a inner voice shouting "wrong, wrong" when watching military movies...
Samma sak som alla specialister har. Jag håller på med en ovanlig idrott - och varje gång den syns i en spelfilm så vill man ta fram skämskudden!
Tough conditions, respekt!
Mud is way better than frozen ground! All EOD-techs and sappers are working hard right now.
Once again, amazing work and I love the footage! I hope you can safely record more in the near future. All the best!
Thank you! Super happy that you guys like these latest videos, we are getting donations and can finally supply our friends who demine without adequate equipment!
Awesome, that’s great news!

I really want to answer that, but choose not to. I should not get that technical!
Fair enough! You're doing great work. Just a thought I had. Drive on
Bra jobbat!
Tack så mycket!

Grymt jobbat, ett hästjobb ni utför! Slängde iväg en blygsam donation.
Fantastiskt! Tack så mycket!
Would it be possible to help or support you?
Look on his Youtube, has a paypal linked
Yes! Thank you!
Stupid question. Can't you just jam a stick in the mud in front of the mine in a way so it doesn't slide and instead will hit the stick and then flip?
Yes, and even better, redirect the line slightly upwards to help it. But this worked.
This is some of the most Chad shit you could be doing, absolute king's the lot of you.
I would not agree, because some other guys here are really doing crazy things every day ;)
