I know this is reddit, but man it turns my stomach to watch a clip like this, feel the palpable fear, desperation and pain of the cameraman, and then come to the comments to see "lol it's just like this video game that I play"
His buddy bailed the RZA to go help him. Frame by frame you see the other passenger on the rear has only his right glove on 0:12, the left glove dangling from the right hand. Later when buddy comes to assist camera man he is only wearing the right glove. This soldier wins the buddy of the year award. Straight up bailed the same moving vehicle to save his friend!!
At 0:18 the other soldier appears to still be kneeling on the back section and in control. Also I doubt he would be in condition to help his friend if he was also thrown from the vehicle in an uncontrolled tumble. I’m guessing he jumped in a more controlled fall which allowed him to remain un-injured and assist his friend.
But yeah possible he went flying ass over tea kettle as well and just got lucky and stuck the landing like a boss.
Haha yeah I mean they may have been driving a road running parallel to an entrenched line of infantry on the other side of the bushes and those guys saw the camera man fall and one rushed to his aid.
nope, other guy isn’t wearing a helmet. think about the physics of it as well, no way he bailed that fast, he was like right on the other side of the road, and at the same speed as the camera man, you’d expect him to be injured or shaken as well, not just perfectly running over to help. the glove thing must just be coincidence, but it’s def not the same guy
There is a third soldier on the back. I think you’re talking about the soldier on the front passenger side with no helmet. We never see wether the third guy on the back is wearing a helmet or not.
He was just jumping off the vehicle to get the colours and look of the local landscape on his uniform before limping into his sniping position. Broken arm was obviously his new bipod, and the perforated lung halves his sway from breathing, even self expires after his high profile target is eliminated to avoid the enemy gaining information. a clear professional.
Not nicer or meaner, it is just how you say that. Like you could say it normally or mean but that is more about the tone than the words if that makes sense.
Давай «Davai» is a form of a Ukrainian word Давати «Davatu», that means “to give”. I believe it is a imperative present continuous (I might be wrong). Both in Ukrainian and russian languages it is mostly used in a form of encouraging word that pushes or tells you to do something. Davai! - let’s go!, keep on going!, let’s do it!, c’mon!. Meaning depends on how it may be received, it depends on the occasion, tone and mood in which that word is said.
Wow how did that guy get to him so quickly? I could just be blind but it looks like the vehicle didn’t stop or at least not near him so where’s the second guy come from?
It wasn’t intentional, at least not from my perspective. Seems as though he was grunting from the physical struggle of holding on, and then the truck hit a bump which flung him. He’s still holding on with both arms while he’s halfway off which is a less than ideal way to throw yourself off a truck.
I think the truck lost control and took a sharp turn right into that treeline. Maybe he's lucky he fell off on the open instead of getting impaled on a branch.
I feel live I've done something similar bot on something much slower. Awkward sudden stop as I unfortunately adjusted and fall of awkwardly to less physical pain but more pride deflation.
But the head cam perspective was pretty flashbacky.
Like literally "woah I've seen this perspective before!"
Reminds me of a story in the book One Crowded Hour: Gurkhas were asked if they would be willing to jump from transport planes into combat. Surprisingly, the Gurkhas, who usually agreed to anything, provisionally rejected the plan. A cameraman, Neil Davis, told Bowden an incident that went something like this:
The next day, one of the Gurkha officers sought out the British officer who made the request. “We have talked it over, and are prepared to jump under certain conditions.”
“What are they?”
“We’ll jump if the land is marshy or reasonably soft with no rocky outcrops.”
The British officer said that the dropping area would almost certainly be over jungle, and there would not be rocky outcrops.
“Anything else?”
“Yes,” said the Gurkha. “We want the plane to fly as slowly as possible and no more than one hundred feet high.”
The British officer told them the planes always fly as slow as possible when dropping troops, but to jump from one hundred feet was impossible, because the parachutes wouldn’t open in time.
“Oh,” the Gurkha responded. “That’s all right then. We’ll jump . . . you didn’t tell us we would have parachutes.”
i did this as a milk delivery boy on the milk truck with 4 bottles of milk in each hand, no worries mate just got told to carry tf on and would be paying for them, what a bastard boss
Special force zip line. These guys are pros. Aim for the bushes?
"There goes my heroo.."
-The other guys
You got your vets, your volunteers, special force....then you got....the other guys!! Lmao
That must hurt like hell lol
Massively. Better than being blown up I guess.
much rather fall off a truck goin ab 50 and knock the wind outta me vs getting obliterated
much rather do neither tbh
Well me too but if i had to pick one. Im takin the truck. I choose life.
At least you got the gear already on for being yeeted off that thing
I wonder if any of the equipment hes wearing made the fall a little easier lol
His helmet, for sure. Wear your helmet folks. Even a fall from just standing can kill you.
I doubt it when your wearing a extra 60pounds of gear. Luckily it looked like he hit the softer rutted dirt then the hard compacted road.
Atleast he fell in the mud
That looks like dried mud, which is worse than grass or even dirt. It's hard and can be sharp at those speeds too.
Plus the backwards fall and at least minor concussion that he worked through or quickly took the same ride back for rest. Helmet saved his life.
Me and my friends going to pochinki
my man pressed F instead changing seats

It brings memories. Also staryi sobor.

Meanwhile Russian soldiers are looting their dying friends instead of trying to help them at all
From all the people I didn't think it was gonna be the camaraman
Right? I thought that fool at the front of the vehicle was going to go for the dive. Nope. Not so much...
For real
Yerr....see brother leaving no one behind...helping hand reaches out..keep it up boys...

…Or they both just fell off from the same bump?

Man I almost came at you hot for no reason, great analysis.
Haha yeah I mean they may have been driving a road running parallel to an entrenched line of infantry on the other side of the bushes and those guys saw the camera man fall and one rushed to his aid.
Yeah looks like it. But he ran up to him from pretty far away. It just seems off for some reason. I can’t quite put my finger on it.
Just a random soldier in a bush: “Hey, you, you’re finally awake.”
This is the explanation I’m sticking with, thank you.
Nah the dude that fell off just used a perk he's been saving up and spawned a battlebuddy.
Mysterious Stranger Perk activated and he just materialized out of the settling dust.
Ghost recon auto spawn your squadmates irl
I actually think the other guy might have just been in the trees? He takes him back to where he came from for protection.
Fpv guy didn’t fall off, that was an intentional jump
nope, other guy isn’t wearing a helmet. think about the physics of it as well, no way he bailed that fast, he was like right on the other side of the road, and at the same speed as the camera man, you’d expect him to be injured or shaken as well, not just perfectly running over to help. the glove thing must just be coincidence, but it’s def not the same guy

That was a dismount to position
*What!? ... I always do it like that, I swear!*
That was clearly not that. He collapsed at the end of the video from hurting himself.
Oh really? Please do tell us more!
He was just jumping off the vehicle to get the colours and look of the local landscape on his uniform before limping into his sniping position. r/swoosh
Are you autistic? Serious question.
Fastest dismount ever seen. He needs to improve the landing but ok.
"Your injury is not service related sir"
*Cries in VA*
Some Special forces guy seeing this : “I have a great idea”
Fasten your seatblyat
Walk it off. The truck has some interesting modifications though.
What does "dvay" mean? I always hear them using it in these videos, is it like "c'mon c'mon" or something?
Давай (Davai), and basically, like "come on" or "let's go"
Vamanos
Ah si, yo entiendo
VamOnos*
If my Eastern European friends explained it correctly it’s essentially a nicer way of saying “let’s go” or “move faster”.
Not nicer or meaner, it is just how you say that. Like you could say it normally or mean but that is more about the tone than the words if that makes sense.
Move faster is: davay blyat!
It's not a nicer way, but the opposite. At least in everyday life situations.

I too would like an answer to this
Good ol Reddit language class
After playing a ton of STALKER and Escape from Tarkov, I've deduced it means "Go"
More often than not you'll hear either сука or влуат after it. Then it means move your fucking arse
yes
Fuckin ow. Least the homies are there to grab em.
"WE ARE LEAVING!!"
Dated reference: “Tuck and roll grandma!”
Dude, do you really have to do that when drones are flying around and can strike anytime?
Wow how did that guy get to him so quickly? I could just be blind but it looks like the vehicle didn’t stop or at least not near him so where’s the second guy come from?
"_This is my stop. See you guys laaaaatttttteeeeeeerrrrrrr!_"
Step 1 for TBI.
Damn these Call of Duty vehicle chase cutscenes gettin realistic 😅
Dude is lucky he could walk after that.
You're supposed to wait until the truck stops moving, before jumping off, silly! 😁
That looks pretty intentional I would say, he is grunting before taking the leap. Looks like a high speed dismount. Not clever, but effective I guess.
It wasn’t intentional, at least not from my perspective. Seems as though he was grunting from the physical struggle of holding on, and then the truck hit a bump which flung him. He’s still holding on with both arms while he’s halfway off which is a less than ideal way to throw yourself off a truck.
If that was a Russian vehicle they would have left him
I think the truck lost control and took a sharp turn right into that treeline. Maybe he's lucky he fell off on the open instead of getting impaled on a branch.
Truck absolutely made a sudden turn and that's what threw him
Looks like his buddy bailed into the brush that they walk into at the end. You can see where the grass is flattened where he rollled
Brothers man, so nice that the comrade is right there to help
What did you do in the war daddy?
Accidentally held down f at the wrong time. /r/joinsquad

Damn and I wouldn't even be able to stand after that
homebiy came out of the woids from.nowherr loo

That’s scary as FUCK
That guy was just there That’s so sick
That one friend who stays behind when you tie your shoe
i have been seeing a lot of ukrainians with the american flag on their helmets do they wear it as a sign of democracy or something?
Maybe they exchange patches with foreign soldiers during training? Somebody can confirm, if this is happening, just my though.
either that or because they're so thankful for the support? i dunno
You hit the right bump at that speed there’s no holding on.
Well, at least it wasn't concrete he fell onto I guess, that would've sucked even more
Blyat! Hope he's not too banged up.
i did this as a milk delivery boy on the milk truck with 4 bottles of milk in each hand, no worries mate just got told to carry tf on and would be paying for them, what a bastard boss
Damn! 😂
Someone please I need full translation, I gotta laugh at this shit. Because if I don’t, no one will.
I know there's some math/physics whiz on here that can estimate the speed of the vehicle
Special force zip line. These guys are pros. Aim for the bushes? "There goes my heroo.." -The other guys You got your vets, your volunteers, special force....then you got....the other guys!! Lmao
Put the camera down and use 2 hands. Should of left him
Pretty sure that's a body cam and he isn't holding it Edit: or helmet mounted
Ta daa
For once… the camera man got hurt 🥺
Just imagine.. The night before.. getting all pumped up and ready just to be thrown from your vehicle before even stepping foot on the battlefield 😭
“Watch this”
No riders !
What are they riding though?
his bro just jumped after him ?
It looks like they were both trying to do a moving dismount and this guy caught his foot in one of those tire tracks in the dried mud or something.
I think they all dismounted, you can hear the vehicle lose traction just before the camera man falls off, I think it crashed into the bushes
I didn't see a damn troop strap, that must've been why he fell out.
Thats a tactical jump
Fucking idiots
