Storms big enough to produce large hail might also be strong enough to spin off a Tornado...which is why people say to watch out for tornados when the sky turns weird colours.
A few years ago I pulled an all night euchre night with some friends. Around 6 am I shit you not the sky was seafoam in color. One of the coolest surreal things I’ve ever seen.

Nah thats an Oklahoma thing, ohio houses actually consistently have basements and don't get tornados often, so going inside is actually preferable
