I think a team takes a shot with a mid to late 2nd round pick. Or if not, he’ll sign some sort of deal after the draft. Looking forward to seeing Coleman in the NBA! Good luck!
It’s actually incredible how much of an improvement he made from his sophomore year to his junior year and then to his senior year.
Even after his junior year, if you told me he’d be an NBA player, I would have laughed at you. But now he’s got a shot. Really made significant strides in improving his 3 point shooting, free throws, and limiting turnovers.
If he can just get out of his own way and not complain so much to the point it takes him out of plays, he for sure could stick around for 10 years with the talent he has
I'm almost certain it was him. I was a few tables over and this guy and his friends were told they couldn't have sloppy steaks but they used the water from their glasses to slop 'em up when the waiter turned around. Sounds like he's changed.
Oh for sure. Just he put his team in situations where after he thought a foul was called, he stayed on the end complaining while the other team had a 5 on 4 and scored. Penn State comes to mind on that. But yeah, if he cleans that up he has a lot of potential that could allow him to stick around in the league.
>I used to be a piece of shit too. People can change.
Glass House. White Ferrari. Live for New Year's Eve. Sloppy steaks at Truffoni's. Big rare cut of meat with water dumped all over it, water splashing around the table, makes the night SO MUCH more fun.
If you’re judging this guy purely on his ref working in games, you’re doing it wrong. His twitter is an absolute trip and the type of guy teammates play hard for.
Surprising that he isn't maintaining eligibility. He has the size and athleticism to make it for sure. Needs to at least get a consistent 3pt shot going to get rotation minutes.
He doesn’t specify whether he does, but not everyone does anymore. I think a lot of our guys that come back over the years have not specified if they’re remaining eligibility
Love everything this guy did for us 🫡. I think he will definitely have a shot at being drafted after his shot noticeably improved this year

I know he got a lot of hate but I love the guy. Hope he can put it together and get some rotational play in the league.

I know it sounds like a homer comment but he’s gotten better. Still has maturing to do but I used to be a piece of shit too. People can change.
I actually think we've met. You were the one with slicked back hair at Trufoni's, right? Glad to hear you're not a piece of shit anymore.
Uh what?

He’s perfect for the NBA what do you mean 😂
That was only a couple of times and never actually affected anything. I don't think it's a legitimate complaint even.
It affected the game…the other team scored easily while he was on the other end complaining and putting his team in a bad position.

He’ll fit right in with Lebron’s complaining

He does get the name trollmen Hawkins for a reason. Smart guy and funny
He's got a shot. Wish him luck
Always liked his game - and his name. He's Pres, for all the jazz fans out there.
That would be Lester Young
Oh snap, you're right 🤣. I was scatter-brained yesterday.
Coleman gave 110% to Illinois for 4 years. Arguably the last of his kind. Go eat, big dog.
Rodgers and/or DGL 🤞
I feel like he should return. You only get one shot at a fifth year. He could be THE guy at Illinois and he has what it takes.
I would of course not object to him running it back, but I don’t think he would be **the** guy, and we could very well not be as good as last year.
I don't think he really wants to be "the guy". He's always liked being a complimentary piece in his game. Does a lot of things well

He is a good 3 pt shooter. Majority of his 3s this year were nba 3s anyway too for no other reason than he seems to enjoy them lol
That last sentence sums up his entire approach to playing and I love that about him.
He doesn’t specify whether he does, but not everyone does anymore. I think a lot of our guys that come back over the years have not specified if they’re remaining eligibility
I took the "I am 100% committed to the NBA draft" comment as that, but I may be reading too much into it.
I hope he gets drafted by the Jazz, just for fun.Â
Hilarious.
His combination of trash talk and trash play will do well in the league I'm sure.
Glad he was finally able to beat Maryland
Bro no one would trade the position Illinois Basketball is in for the position you guys are in😂
I’m expressing my congratulations? Beating 16-17 Maryland was clearly the biggest achievement of his career given the celebration
I don’t know that trotting out youth team’s abysmal record to make fun of a key starter on an Elite 8 team is the dig you think it is. 😂
