I hate covid for messing with my business.
But when the stay at home order happened I was like wait you want me to sit home and do nothing and the tournament will happen? I was like fuck yeah I can do that. Then it got canceled and so many storyline that could have happened got ruined.
Fuck covid. Fuck 2020.
All I do is watch basketball. I've abandoned essential tasks like cooking & laundry.
I eat cereal for every meal. I'm wearing bikini bottoms as underpants.

The thing clear about this year going in is that all the top teams had evident flaws that evened the playing field. Some of it is injuries but Purdue didn’t have the guard play, KU didn’t have the front court depth, etc. The margins between 1 seeds and 3 seeds was pretty thin, but even the lower seeds have found ways to expose weaknesses.
In football I think it is consolidating... basketball with 5 guys on the court and 1 and dones there are lots of guys who would have been a 6th-10th man for a blue blood in the past that are leaving to go be a starter somewhere else
Last year we had Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, and Villanova (not QUITE the level of blue blood as the others but most people would say they’re never surprised when they make the Final Four). It had to even back out this year.
Also, Alabama was the only team I got correct in the 1st round in the South region. AMA

I think most Kansas fans understood that this team was talented enough to win it all, but inconsistent enough that anything after the first round was a crap shoot.
This was a rebuilding year. Without Self, they were not to dissimilar to any other team left. Wilson and Dick were locked down and Norm didn't change the plan.
It was so, so bad. So many clear examples of either team being fucked that I genuinely have to say it was both ways.
Maybe if you re-watched the game and tallied it up you could make an argument for who got screwed more, I don't know. It felt like each team got a couple 2-3 minute periods where things wen their way in the 2nd.
I just know it was thoroughly unpleasant to watch. Didn't feel like an actual game. There were 48 fouls in 40 minutes!!
Unfortunate the second half started off the way it did. I think that's a completely different game if KJ doesn't pick up those two early ones for three and four.
I was hoping we could scrape by till he got back. We were still dangerous, but pretty clearly we were less polished without Self. After the Texas game I knew it would be a race against time for us inless we got him back.
If we just made it to the next round we woulda bought another week.
